Experiencia negativa: I recently visited this gym while considering joining, but unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed. The workout area felt worn down, and the carpets looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in many years. I went with a friend, and overall, the atmosphere just didn’t give me a good vibe.

Experiencia negativa: This place is dirty, mold in the sauna . The gym area smells and it just seems like it could be done better. They have a lot of things like the pool, but I asked about cleaning the sauna area numerous times and the boss there gave me the run around., Seems like all they care about is the money. Dont join, dont go, they will sell you a dream and not follow through.

Experiencia positiva: Gym has everything you could need for a good workout, and it's not so busy that you have to wait for any piece of equipment. Are some areas dusty? Yes, but really not that big of a deal. Women's locker room, bathrooms, showers, and steam all are generally clean. There's some upkeep that could be better, like the ceiling leaks, but it doesn't impact me or create an imposition on a good workout. What I really love is the childcare staff! Everyone is so kind, and patient! With an 8 month old, who's having separation anxiety (he's never been away from mom), it means the world knowing the staff is going to be understanding and will try everything they can to soothe him so I can finally start to take care of myself. I know it's a burden on them, and I can't express my appreciation for them enough!

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by incredibly friendly and welcoming staff who genuinely seem happy to be there. The entire facility is exceptionally clean and well-maintained – it's clear they take great pride in the environment they provide for their members. There's a fantastic variety of equipment, all in excellent condition, which means I never have to wait to get my workout in. What I appreciate most, though, is the wonderfully relaxing and positive atmosphere. It’s a supportive community where you can comfortably focus on your fitness goals without any intimidation. I can't recommend Sportfit Bowie enough!

Experiencia negativa: The most disgusting gym ever!! I went in with a free pass thinking I was gonna love this gym. ( I was wong ) The Dust duin the gym room alone will get you sick. I tried the steam room!! OMG the mold in the steam room is ridiculous. The worst part was the sauna. like, how can someome even sit in that place. Its so so dirty. I saw panties on the floor, old paper towels, all kinds of bugs. the place is fifthy and they are charging 50 something dollars a month, ridiclous.

Experiencia fantástica: The club is clean with a lot of equipment and friendly staff. The locker rooms are good and I like the access to the pool and classes. I don't play tennis so I can't really say anything about that. I started with Sportfit at the end of May 2024. At the same time i was doing aqua therapy for my back, not at Sportfit, and was hoping to strengthen my core. I was referred to Toya as a personal trainer and I have been working with her ever since. I was initially going 2 days a week but I am not up to 5 or so and I have stopped the aqua PT for my back. When I started I was a 40 waist and 2xl shirt. I am now between 34-35 for waist and, while an XL shirt fits my shoulders its too big around the waist. I have replaced a lot of fat with muscle and I feel good. I cannot recommend the club in general and Toya, specifically, for their help and I feel like l have my youth, and mental health, back. The mornings I spend at the gym are my disconnect time. No work, no family drama, just me and the weight.

Despite the "Wet Floors" signage, nothing has been done about the slippery stairs leading from the Women's and Men's locker rooms to the pool, and adding Fyi • ×× Anti - Slip treads** would be a more effective preventative measure for stairs.

I can work out in peace knowing my girls are having a blast in the childcare. My children sometimes attend swimming lessons there and also attended several weeks of summer camp. Her energy is phenomenal and she relates extremely well to her clients because of her own amazing fitness transformation. You'll definitely get top results working with her. She's a beast! Experiencia fantástica: I started personal training with Pete here at sportfit only 1.5 months ago.The experience and results have been mind blowing!!! Lost 9 pounds, 5% body fat in just 1month. The trainers are so dedicated and professional- Pete is the head coach. You will never see them on their phones while training you and they get you real results. They support you throughout the journey- its amazing! I am enjoying this and will give another update at the end of this month

Experiencia fantástica: This was my gym for half a year. It’s a nice gym, they keep it clean, there’s hardly anyone ever in the gym so equipment is always available. People actually re rack their weights and wipe their equipment down. $45 a month isn’t bad for all the you get. I only experienced the gym and not the rest of the place

Experiencia negativa: Don’t go for the swim lessons. I took my son here for swim lessons. He’s fearful of the water and everything went fine for weeks until his instructor had to miss a day. The fill in took the kids to 3 feet and had a completely different class that was not meant for beginners. (Kids were jumping in from the side for example.) Also it was in 3 feet, my kid was the smallest and he’s barely 3 feet tall. All the other kids were ready for it but my 3 foot son was not. I talked to the substitute instructor and he dismissed me. So I talked to someone in their office who said they’d give me a free makeup day but that never happened. I never went back.

Experiencia negativa: Ok facilities. .not that crowded. Could improve natural light. Really need some natural sun light. The gym area with feels very closed like a storage area with no windows to get in light. Make it better and get the market share back from Golds Gym.

Experiencia fantástica: Family sport facility for everyone! We love to lounge by the pool in the summer and the kids love the adjacent park. The boys swim like fish after taking semi private lessons with Dan. She rocks!!! Plus my 16 year old loves to workout and play basketball in the gym. Two of my personal favs is the hot tub (work out the muscle kinks) and the sauna. We started our membership for lessons and stayed for peace of mind. Safe space.

So we went in the evening, when they appeared to be most busy. The parking lot was very full - had to wait for a spot. Then when we went inside, the person at the desk couldn’t leave their desk since they had to check ppl in. So she called “upstairs” and at first no one answered. She called again and said they seemed really busy up there so it’s unlikely we could see the space. So we didn’t. Overall, I didn’t get the sense of good or friendly service here. It’s also PACKED.

There are also exercise machines and weights, basketball courts and tennis. A one stop shop for wellness with a reasonable monthly price. This facility is wonderful!

Also if you want to play tennis membership is much more expensive. Other than that, it's not a bad gym. Recommend just going to LA if you like expensive gyms

Swimming pool (no diving board ) - lap pool - Spa - Co'ed Steam rm near pool - Dry Sauna in locker rm - long & short lockers and nice showers. There's 4 or 5 large parking lots. Staff is professional, friendly and they learn ur name. If someone has a problem or there's a long line they usually wave u thru bcause they've already checked u in. Also, there's multiple entrances and handicap accessible. Can be pricy depending type of membership u get. I recommend you to visit Sport Fit Bowie as guest and decide if it's for u.

Experiencia fantástica: Eddie is an amazing personal trainer. I got to include my daughter in my training, which was amazing. In her small groups she pushed the group, but also saw when the group wasn’t enjoying certain workouts and changed it up so you still got a tough workout without hating it. She was also always available to discuss obstacles in your weight loss. With Eddie’s and the Transformerz help I lost over 20lbs in 3 months, and am confident I can continue to my goals of 40lbs within 6 months.

Experiencia fantástica: I go to this club at least 3 times (sometimes 4 times) each week in the mornings. I attend yoga, yogalates, HITT, Sculp & Abs, Spin, Danzfit & Crossfit classes. I find the instructors (Laura, Lee, Lo) especially Eddy who instructs Danzfit and Crossfit to be experienced, energetic, engaging and supportive. It makes my time there enjoyable. I get a good workout when I'm there.

Experiencia fantástica: According to John C Maxwell, everything rises and falls off of leadership, and there is nothing short of exceptional leadership here. As a result of that, the members are happy, the staff is friendly, and the facility is top tier. During the global COVID-19 pandemic running a gym seemed impossible, from constant cleaning, to mask mandates, and having to rely on members to wipe every machine. The team here at Sport Fit made working out at this gym safe! This is a clean facility, there has not been a time that I have been in the gym and not seen workers coming by and cleaning up the machines, and ensuring everything is in order. This gym has everything from top to bottom, basketball courts, tennis courts, pools, sauna, and many more. If you are local to the area, this gym is for you!

Experiencia fantástica: If you’ve tried to reach your fitness goals on your own, with little to no success, then Pete is the personal trainer for you! WHY? He is the accountability partner you didn’t know you needed. He encourages you to push beyond your limits while cheering you on (it’s not easy but you can do it!). He tailors your workouts to fit your needs and offer simplified nutritional guidance which takes the overthinking out of the meal prepping (I can attest to this because I used to overthink what to eat daily and now I don’t). Pete started training me about 4 weeks ago, and I’ve already lost inches and a few pounds. I also feel incredible and have so much energy now! Pete is a top notch trainer! Visit him at the Bowie Sport Fit gym. I promise you, if you show up consistently for yourself and do your part, Pete will get you the results you desire and you’ll feel great in the process!!

Experiencia positiva: I like the gym and the Stagg, however my car and a few others were broken into. Over 1k of damages and losses. Unfortunately no one is responsible. The parking lot lights need to be re evaluated in addition to security. This is the second time this has happened this year at that location.

Experiencia positiva: I mainly joined to utilize the lap pool but lanes are never available as they choose to prioritize swim team over other paying customers. At almost all hours of the evening from 1pm to closing four lanes of the six are dedicated to swim team at least 5 days a week. Leaving only two lanes for everyone else which are also always filled by people walking laps.

Experiencia positiva: Sportsfit was great . The staff I have encountered have all been great. My only issue is that the entrance for handicap or physically challenged is not accessible, you have to either go up steps to another entrance or walk around to the back of the building to another entrance. Now, if you are handicapped or you walk with a cane, it is quite difficult to do that, hence why we use the handicap entrance. Hopefully soon the entrance will be open again and it won't be such a challenge to enter the facility. Everything else was great!

I followed him from WSC to Sportfit, and have enjoyed the new facility - it's large, offers a good variety of machines, cardio equipment, and weights. Pete consistently challenges me in the right way, and with him I've seen solid improvement in my overall health, physique, and strength. He's flexible and accommodating, but holds you accountable where it matters. Highly recommend working with him.

Experiencia negativa: I am very disappointed with Sports Fit, Bowie. Here is where the management needs to focus 1. Require clean air. The air in the facility smells foul, humid as if the restroom/bathroom area flows into gym area as well. 2. Require more sunlight. It feels so unnatural to not have a single sunlight area in the entire facility except swimming pool 3. Clean water in the pool. See lot of human hair and other dirt floating esp. the smaller pool. 4. No blasting of music. So many of us have head phones already. What is the point of blasting music?! 5. Better gym equipment. Require updates or newer ones. All such issues have resulted in very low number of members - gym looks almost empty most of the time. Contrast this with LA Fitness or Golds Gym. Lots of potential but POORLY managed.
