Experiencia fantástica: Crunch is great! Specifically, I enjoyed the personal training I received from all the trainers I worked with at the Boulder location. Helped me get out of a gym rut and saw substantial progress.

Experiencia negativa: My credit card that was loaded into their payment system was overcharged for 4 months this winter. I was charged 5 late fees for lack of payment, despite having a card in the system. The very card that was in the system was automatically charged the late fee. All in all, I have been overcharged about $70. When I noticed this in March, I brought it immediately to the manager who admitted that sometimes there are errors in payment processing. He submitted a ticket on the spot (I saw him). I then followed up THREE more times, he escalated the issue twice, and there has still been no resolution. It is July 25th. The overcharging was between 5 and 8 months ago, and I have now brought it forward four times. I'm hoping perhaps leadership will care about a public comment because my persistence around correcting their error has not worked thus far.

The employees are awesome and welcoming, Kai the manager always goes above and beyond. It does get busy at times, but their app lets you know if it is. And best of all NO INFLUENCERS taking over the gym I walk there and the view is magnificent. It is a very spacious gym. I really enjoy it.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently decided to put more effort into working on myself and purchased a membership to this Crunch Fitness location. I'm not super experienced with all the specialized workout machines, so I asked one of the attendants at the desk. The young man at the counter, Kaz, simply went above and beyond, explaining in detail how and what each machine was designed for. He recommended some machines that were good for beginners, and outlined a simple workout routine I could follow. If you're unsure about anything, this location, and Kaz, specifically have proved to be extremely helpful!

Experiencia negativa: Worst gym, don’t think about ever canceling because if you do they’re going to charge you 10 more times and then say it was part of the contract and then once you’re finally done they will charge you another monthly fee to make sure they screw you over even more.

It would be 5 stars but there has been a few times where I have to check online or past screenshots of the actual business hours. ~ what's posted here isn't correct and I've suggested a few times for them to update it because it is confusing. I'll upload my screenshot of the correct hours for anyone else who needs it.

Experiencia negativa: I would give this place a negative -star rating if I could. After a positive experience with a complementary first visit and personal trainer session, I joined and purchased the best package possible, only to find out that my personal trainer quit the very next day. The new personal trainer that they gave me was a nice kid, but he just complained about how much he hated working there, and he soon quit as well. My next personal trainer was very nice, but she also quit. By this time I wasn't motivated to finish my personal trainer package because the trainers kept quitting, and none of the employees were happy working there. They said they had high sales goals, and it was a stressful high-pressure sales company. These "complimentary" visits to check out the gym are just a sales tactic to get you to buy personal trainer packages. They don't care about you, just your money. I also tried canceling my membership several times. I left messages through their website saying that I wanted to cancel my membership. The website said they would contact me. NO ONE EVER CONTACTED ME. I called Crunch gym several times, and each time, they said I had to talk to the manager to cancel my membership, but the manager was never there, and they promised the manager would call me back. I never received a return call to cancel my membership. After about a year of this nonsense, I moved from Boulder, but I'm still calling to cancel without any return calls or emails. Another year later I was charged another even bigger fee, in addition to my monthly fee, so now I'm really getting frustrated. I finally took the afternoon off work. (More money lost) I drove to the Boulder Crunch (I moved from Boulder, so it's not an easy trip for me). I spoke to the manager, who finally canceled my membership. He said that the contract states that the only way to cancel a membership is to come in person. I called B.S. to that. That’s illegal! He said that he emailed his boss to get me a refund since I've made several attempts to cancel my membership, and no one has ever returned my messages or calls, and I kept getting charged. The manager promised me that I would get a call back and a refund. It's been two months, and I still have not received a call, email, or refund. This place is a sad joke. It's a scam and a terrible business for Boulder. Just join one of the many Boulder Recreation Centers or the YMCA. You'll receive more for your money and a better community experience. Crunch gym is a sad excuse for a gym. They just want your money, and they don't care about their customers, or their employees. They also make a bunch of money off CU students who move and can't cancel their memberships. They just keep getting fees automatically taken out of their account. Everyone beware! Stay far away from Crunch. Hopefully, Crunch will eventually close. Boulder will be better off without a shady business like them.

Experiencia fantástica: Really enjoying this gym- so spacious, tons of nice and well-kept equipment, clean, easy going vibe and doesn’t break the bank My only wish is that the sauna would be consistently running and HOT. Dry sauna has so many amazing benefits, but I feel I’m not able to get them in the ladies’ sauna here. It’s about 165-180° on average and almost never induces a sweat, much less relaxation or increased blood circulation. I once sat for 40 minutes (the sauna was on/running) and didn’t have one bead of sweat on my arms- truly couldn’t believe it. I’m used to intense heat and sweat forming within a couple of minutes of sitting, and by 15 or 20 I should be dripping. Boulder rec, 24 hr, and a different crunch location in TX have all been at about 200° which is pretty typical. Please look into setting the baseline temperature higher overall like 190°-200° so we can get the benefits of the sauna and be able to do so in a short amount of time. Also some draino or green gobbler for the shower drains would be worth looking into!

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym especially for the price point. I have been to the very expensive gyms before - they are great but I'd rather save money. Crunch is a great gym and compared to other similarly priced gyms it far exceeds expectations. They have plenty of free weights and strength training machines - the saunas are clean, there is a good mix of patrons from all walks of life and backgrounds - from students to professionals to retired folks, etc. I have never felt judged while at this gym. My only regret is that I am sad to have to cancel my membership as moving away from the area! They also make cancellation a breeze. All and all a great gym, very upfront, no hidden charges, gets the job done and more! also shout out to Stevie at the front desk - she was so helpful in explaining my plan to me and answering all the questions I had!

Experiencia positiva: For the price, this is a great gym. The mostly 24/7 hours are great for me as I only have time to go at around 10 PM weeknights. There are plenty of dumbbells going up to over 100 lb a piece, a few squat racks, plenty of treadmills and enough machines to cover most needs. Probably the only machine of note missing is the assisted pull up machine but there are plenty of lat pull downs and cable rows handy. Now if only people can stop spitting gum in the urinals...

Experiencia negativa: Originally I signed up for the $15 membership and they charged me random amounts the 3-4 months I was with them. I cancelled it because I moved out of the state and wasn’t going to be using the gym. They made it extremely difficult for me to cancel it and once I cancelled it they continued to charge me. And are sending me emails saying I owe them $130 after I blocked their payments. Don’t know how this is legal. Debt collectors reached out telling me I owe 200$….. I only worked out there for 4 months!!!

Experiencia positiva: This place has a potential to be great gym, they only need to implement strict rerack and clean after yourself policies across all gym hours, members of this gym rack 3/4/5 45lbs plates on machines and do not rerack them once they are done working out. Members also do not wipe the machines or weights once they are done using it. Love the staff and their energy, and love the ambience.

Experiencia negativa: Profit over people. I signed up for a basic month-to-month membership to check it out. The personal trainer was super nice, but all of the options for a personal trainer and membership were ridiculously committing. So I decided it wasn't a good fit and tried to cancel. I was told I had to come in person twice to try to cancel my membership because of a safety issue? Then when I got there the unprofessional and uninformed worker just basically told me I signed up for a year so too bad. Gave me the email for a manager who took about a week to email me back. She also told me too bad you're signed up for a year. I mentioned how I was signed up for a month to month like most of their memberships and she just tried to offer me another deal. And by dea, I mean they trick you. If you read reviews on Facebook, so many people have complained about their lack of transparency and also random fees that get tacked on. I've never experienced company like this that is so blatantly and backhandedly trying to keep people's money.

Experiencia negativa: The personal trainers that my wife saw were unprofessional, hard to get ahold of, and had less knowledge than you could gleam from a single Mike Israetel video. It's almost never clean, seems like its always out of cleaning solution, bathrooms are disgusting, busy almost always (there's hardly any decent gyms that aren't class/pilates/crossfit oriented in Boulder). On top of all that you have to cancel in person. The one positive I can think of is the lighting. If there were any decent competition, I'd go elsewhere.

Check trust pilot before visiting. This is a very common among customers. Beware. Update: I sent several pieces of certified mail to them to end this and they sent debt collectors so that’s the type of business they are. I also doubt whether the majority of the positive reviews are from real customers. I bet they are AI or hired reviewers. Also the guys responding to bad reviews are liars very clearly, don’t listen to their responses

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been a member for one year and I’m canceling my membership due to the filth. I’ve talked to the management three times and posted formal complaints about cleanliness of the locker room. At no time has the locker room ever been even reasonably clean when I’ve arrived (I’m former Army. Dirt - OK. Scum, slime, feces, - not OK.) I’ve showered there at least a dozen times and on each occasion I have felt dirtier, even contaminated after a shower. I’ve spoken to the staff each time and they are indifferent. On the bright side, the work out areas look clean enough but…if they don’t clean the bathrooms, what do you suppose might be on those dumbbells you’re touching…?

I changed my card number to stop but they make charges directly from my checking account and routing numbers. Had to call my bank to do a stop pay to get them to stop charging. Update. Seven months later after the pay stop they are still sending me bills. It’s been over two year’s since I’ve been there and moved away in the meantime. This is a common scheme they have even as far as scam. I don’t believe the company’s messages to other comments that they are following up to help people cancel. Hasn’t happened to me, just more bills. If they had my card they’d still be charging. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they bought fake reviews. Update: I submitted several pieces of notices by certified mail and they sent debt collectors after me, so that’s the type of business they are.

Experiencia negativa: This crunch gym scammed me, after I canceled my membership in person, and paid to cancel. They randomly sent me another "contract" around a month after I received confirmation I was completely done, when I signed nothing for a new membership. They will fraudulently use your signature and name to keep you paying there forever. Also, can I add that it's so gross in the locker rooms now and pretty unhygienic.

Experiencia fantástica: Sure! Here’s a version that sounds more like you: Chuck is hands down one of the best employees at Crunch Fitness. From the moment you walk in, he’s welcoming, professional, and actually seems to care about the members. Whether it’s helping with equipment, answering questions, or just making sure the gym is running smoothly, he’s always on top of things. What really stands out is how knowledgeable he is. He’s quick to give solid advice on workouts and form, and he makes an effort to engage with people, remembering names and goals, which isn’t something you get everywhere. Plus, the gym is always clean and well-organized, and it’s obvious he takes pride in keeping it that way. If every gym had someone like Chuck, they’d all be five-star experiences. Crunch is lucky to have him, and so are its members.

Experiencia fantástica: Keith is the reason I kept my membership. I have been a member for a little over a year and for the for the longest time the gym was absolutely disgusting. I’ve lived in 6 states and this was the dirtiest gym I had ever seen. Not sure if Kieth was hired or changed roles but I began to see him here in the mornings cleaning and organizing. I know 5-6 people that left due to the condition the gym. If they had waited a few more months I am positive they would have stayed because of the change that Keith had made.

Experiencia negativa: I am begging you guys to clean your locker rooms. The gym itself is great - good hours, friendly trainers, a wide variety of equipment, and you aren’t often waiting long for anything even on a busy day, but the bathrooms and locker rooms are disgusting. The locker cubbies are dirty (Mold? Mud? Who knows.), the sinks are gross and only 2 work (an improvement from one working up until about a month ago!) The paper towels are usually out, and there’s a fun mystery gray slime spot under the hand dryer. The sauna is a mess - I had a new member ask “is it always that gross in there?” and the only honest answer is yes (which is why I don’t use it.) Don’t even want to talk about the state of the toilets or urinals. And the thing is, I do see the employees cleaning up - they mop and vacuum, etc. - but this place needs a professional cleaning service in there regularly (or more regularly) to actually deep clean it.

Experiencia positiva: Been a member here for about 18 months. Overall the gym is decent. My biggest complaint is the men’s bathroom - I think it gets cleaned once every never. It is really disgusting. There are 2 bathroom stalls and one is constantly under repair, meaning one crapper for a large gym full of dudes. There is never any soap in the bathroom sink dispensers. There are never paper towels to dry hands. There are 3 sinks and only 1 works properly the others just barely drip on you. You’d better check the toilet paper dispenser before you sit down because good chance that is empty too…

I came in to get it canceled and a refund after this and I ended up waiting over an hour before I just left to contact corporate separately. They hoped I would just leave and not cancel. Experiencia fantástica: Barbara Monday's yoga classes are excellent! I'm not the most flexible person and she always offers variations that I can do. She's very knowledgeable, open to questions, and includes a lot of interesting sequences. But most of all she has great energy and I always leave feeling happy and energized.

Experiencia fantástica: Crunch Fitness in Boulder is a great gym with an upbeat, welcoming vibe. The equipment is modern and well-maintained, and there’s plenty of variety for all fitness levels. The staff is super friendly and helpful, making it easy to stay motivated. I also love their group classes—they’re energetic and led by awesome instructors. It’s the perfect spot to work on your fitness goals!

Experiencia positiva: The overall facility is in decent condition. I would say that 15% of the time someone is using the equipment you want to use which is good. Sometimes the ceiling leaks but they are pretty good about catching it in buckets. The bathrooms are the worst part by far. I would recommend showering at home. Typically there are no paper towels and you’re lucky if the sink works. The weights feel accurate. Music is pretty good most of the time. Overall a good place to workout but you get what you pay for.
