Experiencia fantástica: I first met and started training with Joe and the DeRobbio family when I was about 10 years old. This was back when the gym was called COGA and still in its early years. I developed a great bond with the gym and family during my time there. As I grew older, I moved away from the sport of MMA to pursue other sports throughout my schooling years. However, I always maintained an interest in combat sports. I was still a fan. Once I graduated high school, there were fewer opportunities for me to pursue the conventional team sports that I grew accustomed to. For a couple of years, I attempted to go to a gym while moving from city to city. This was difficult to manage. I wasn't having much fun or motivation trying to stay active. I moved back to Woodinville at the age of 20 and decided to reach out to Joe to discuss potentially starting my training again. It had been many years since I had trained or consistently seen Joe, but he welcomed me with open arms. It felt like only a day had passed since we last connected. Fast forward to today. I'm about to turn 23 and have been training again for about 3 years with Royal MMA. I'm proud and honored to represent the gym and my coaches. They are great mentors and role models for combat sports and life. This applies to everyone, from the kids, to the teens, to the adults they work with. The gym has genuinely felt like a family to me. I have so much gratitude for every coach, every team member, and every day I get to train there. The coaches are very knowledgeable and possess an enormous amount of experience. If you're looking to start training MMA, BJJ, Boxing, Kickboxing, or No Gi BJJ I believe you will find this gym to be exceptional. The coaches are really good and help you learn the art of Jiujitsu. Now, with a family of my own and years having passed, the search for that same sense of community and excellence was a significant commitment. I scoured over 16 MMA gyms, spanning from Seattle to Everett, seeking the right fit. I consulted with numerous experts in the area, absorbing their insights and recommendations. Despite encountering many impressive options, one stood out: Royal MAA. For the past two weeks, I've been training at Royal MAA, and I can confidently say that I made the right choice. The instructors are not only incredibly skilled but also genuinely supportive and dedicated to their students' progress. It feels like I've found a new family within this dojo, and I'm eager to continue growing and learning alongside them.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently started attending the noon jiu jitsu classes at Royal MMA. I'd been looking for a gym to train BJJ that fits my busy schedule, and fortunately I found this place. Professor Alan's classes are top notch. I definitely take a lot away from his detailed instruction and appreciate how he caters his classes to all skill levels. His positive, welcoming attitude makes for an awesome environment to train. On the same token, all the students have been friendly and inviting. You'll find great training partners who want to get better at jiu jitsu and help you do the same. I highly recommend this gym!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been training here for about 8 months, and I have no plans to stop. The class size is small so everyone gets plenty of one-on-one time with the instructors. Those attending class form a friendly little community of mutual support. I've been going 3x a week, and have lost 15 pounds since I started, while gaining a visible amount of muscle mass and definition. I feel much more confident in my self-defense abilities than I did when I first started. Every class is friendly to students of all ability levels. The instructors frequently get carried away in their passion for teaching us better form, and class goes late. I think this is an excellent sign that they really care about the quality of our instruction. I've become good friends with both instructors in the process. Couldn't recommend this place more, if you're looking for self-defense or a good workout. Edit: this review was over 2 years ago as of September 2021, I'm now coming up on 3 years and still love coming here!

Experiencia fantástica: Early in the year I was looking for a Gym for my son and I. He was showing interest in BJJ and I was looking to knock the rust off this old frame and start boxing again. I called Northshore MMA and spoke with Joe over the phone and came down to the gym and sat for a class. Coach Joe is nothing but Professional and knows his stuff, I was immediately sold. Since day one we have felt like part of the Family. Every single coach is a true master of their craft. Thank you Joe, Olivia, Malia, Mathias, Alan, and Ryan. We have nothing but positive stuff to say about Northshore MMA. My son and I absolutely love coming to class and learning from all his coaches and new friends we have made along the way. The environment at Northshore is positive, energetic and everyone want you to succeed know matter your goals. I highly recommend if your looking to be part of a family that’s gonna help you succeed and meet your goals you strongly consider the Northshore MMA family I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: About 18 months ago, I decided to give NSMMA a try because going to 24hr gym was getting really boring and repetitive. That was the best decision ever. The coaches will push you and the peers will motivate you. I haven’t been in this good of shape since my military days. You can go for a intense workout or go for full contacts. Some my friends are training for fights while others are just loving the great workout. It’s really up to you and your personal goals. The coaches will definitely help you with any personal goals you want. Also some peers are very knowledgeable and more than willing to help out.

Joe, Olivia, Matthias, and Ryan are phenomenal people who take their craft seriously and want everyone to have a great experience. No matter where I go, Northshore will be my family forever. Training at Northshore is the highlight of my day. The culture they've created is incredibly supportive and positive. We all feel great about working together and there are no bad apples. People of any and all experience levels should be comfortable going there to train.

Coach Joe and Mathias are expert craftsman that will cater towards sculpting your ideal goal; there is something for everyone at this friendly, energetic gym. You will feel welcome regardless of your fitness level, confidence, age, etc. Grab your water bottle and a sweatband and come see what it's all about!

Experiencia negativa: This place will charge you and make you wait for an orientation. I waited an entire week, and when they canceled me for the 3rd time I asked for a refund of my initial 150$. Since I haven't been able to attend a single class. They said no, I said there's a way they could. Then they tried to charge me 35$ to cancel. So I called my bank and they are pulling the funds out. I'm sure the people are great, but they have 0 business sense. It's almost as if they don't want customers. I advise you to take your business somewhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: the Academy is open every day from 4 PM until 8 PM except Saturday it is open from 10 AM till 1 PM. and It is close Sundays except if there is special event
