Experiencia fantástica: I am giving 5 STARS! The staff member who signed me up- Charles. He was incredibly helpful, guiding me through the entire process and making everything so easy to understand. Charles answered all of my questions thoroughly. I really appreciated how friendly he was. Also, was completely honest about the pricing—no surprises or hidden fees. It was refreshing to work with someone so straightforward and personable. Lili is also a great staff member and always greeting everyone who comes in and saying “Have a great day” when they leave. She has helped me get my phone out of the stair master at 5AM in the morning. She was helpful and very understanding. I love the staff here!

Experiencia negativa: The quality of this gym is slowly going down. This was my preferred gym for awhile but I've noticed significant changes since they hired new staff. The female bathrooms didn't have toliet paper in any of the stalls. No big deal maybe they forgot. 2 weeks later the same issue. No toliet paper at all AGAIN. I had to go to protein headquarters next door instead. I asked the front desk and they said "We know and we told our Manager and I don't know." Then shrugged. First of all you should not be operating any business when the restrooms are unavailable. They also left a clogged toliet in the women's restroom for a whole week and it REEKED and they just said a plumber was coming eventually. There's a broken soap dispenser that has been broken for a month and they hardly ever have clean towels available. Their filter status on their water is always yellow or red EVERYDAY. The treadmills are always broken where the incline doesn't work or you have to smash the botton to get it to start. Just overall very disappointed with how this gym is falling apart. They paid to paint all the walls yet can't pay someone to come fix the equipment or someone to up keep the locker rooms?? Do better CFX or you'll lose members.

Experiencia positiva: Deducting 2 stars for lack of cleanliness in men's locker room. Lack of male staff regularly=Unacceptable conditions on men's side. Dirty floors and showers along with 2 of 3 urinals out-of-service with the one remaining not having been wiped down for a l-o-n-g time.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been shopping around for a new gym home. After reading the reviews of this location, I almost didn’t join! I am happy with my decision to check it out myself! Today, I was assisted by Carlos and Lily. They had GREAT customer service! Carlos was very detailed in explaining the policies and procedures and when I had a question, he was patient in explaining! I appreciate that a great deal! While Carlos was setting up my membership, Lily greeted each client that was either coming into the gym or leaving with a smile! Again, I appreciated it a great deal! I feel both, Carlos and Lily are assets to the CFX team!

Experiencia negativa: Have been coming here for a year and the gym has declined. Especially in terms of cleanliness. There are never towels to clean machines. Last 3 times I came here and used the restroom there was no toilet paper. I'll be finding a new gym soon at this rate. Wish I was able to contact the corporate office about my concerns. Broken equipment and have had urinals out of service since I have been a member.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and atmosphere is awesome here! Vami runs a tight ship, maintains a clean environment, and has the best equipment for a variety of workouts. They have the space and tools for you to do whatever you want from athletic agility work to weight lifting to cardio and in between. My favorite part is the atmosphere and members here, everyone’s focus is on getting a workout in and there’s no fooling around. It’s a motivating gym and people are there to support you from the staff to trainers to other gym members! Above and beyond! Massage tables are a nice perk!

Experiencia negativa: My husband and I have been coming to this gym for a while now, and it was the cleanest among all the other locations. However, it is getting dirty now. The bathrooms are always unclean, the equipment isn’t being cleaned, and the wipes are not being replaced. I see the front desk staff just sitting there and not doing anything. One time, my husband had an issue with the app to use the entrance door, and the lady at the desk was on her personal phone gossiping and completely ignored him until she left. Because of these issues, I am considering switching my gym membership.

Experiencia fantástica: Ive been going to this gym for over 8 years. Good price, equipment, and very friendly staff (Lily and others) I always go in the morning, 3-4 times weekly. Also, just want to add it is the cleanest it has ever been in years. I’ve honestly have never seen anyone clean like Juan does.

Experiencia negativa: Floors always seem very dirty. By 2p today (Labor Day) they were zero towels left AND putrid body diarrhea/puke in the 1st stall of the ladies bathroom with what (at a gross half seconds glance) was a plugged up toilet. I get that they aren't 24hr staffed but this is inexcusable. You have to walk past that to wash hands in the sink. I'm grossed out so bad by this place.

Experiencia fantástica: My boyfriend started taking me a couple years ago after switching from PF, but I’ve been going to this gym consistently the past year and it’s a good gym. They have plenty of equipment, areas where you can workout on your own, free weights, and machines. It is a smaller gym compared to PF, but they have a ton of things to do to make sure you get a killer workout in. The times I’ve went have been clean, and when it wasn’t, a staff member would get to it as soon as possible. It’s a shame some people don’t pick up after themselves, the staff does the best they can. Anytime I’ve called during business hours I’ve always spoke with someone. Vami, the general manager is really sweet with the times I’ve interacted with her. Carlos and Lilly are very kind, understanding and they listen to all my concerns. Lilly I’ve dealt with multiple times and she’s never made me feel like she was annoyed with me. She always answers my questions and always tries to help. The trainers I’ve dealt with personally are Patrick and Davion and they both are very nice and informative. The locker room (at least the woman’s in my experience) is very spacious and normally very clean. The times it isn’t is usually after staffing hours. The best times to go if you prefer less people like I do, are early in the AM, around the afternoon it gets a little busy and hard to find a machine or equipment to use. Overall, very solid gym with very sweet staff members that always answer your questions, and always wanting to help you with your goals/questions.

Experiencia negativa: Water filter hasn’t been changed in months. I keep getting charged for holding the door for my friends with memberships and there’s never anyone up front to dispute the changes. I’ve been coming to this gym for over a year and it’s gotten worse as the months past. There’s still machines that are broken since the new year

Experiencia fantástica: It’s a great gym! It might not have the newest stuff or be as pristine as more expensive ones, but you can knockout a solid workout everytime

Experiencia negativa: Too expensive, they raised their prices for everyone the day after a shooting happened at Tinley's LA fitness. Worn down equipment constantly breaking down and never being fixed, way too little equipment for the amount of people during the day, best bet is at night. They seriously do not have a dedicated person to cleaning the gym, rather a single very kind member organizes the entire gym at 4am every day for absolutely nothing (I've asked him) and the days he's not there the gym is absolutely torn apart. Canceling your membership is done only in person during business hours or by snail mail in 2024?

Experiencia fantástica: Great small/medium size gym. It has all the equipment you need for a solid workout. There are some personal trainers if you need them as well as a yoga class on certain days. Additionally Juan does a great job cleaning the facility especially the women's restroom. I would recommend this gym.

Experiencia negativa: I currently work out and am member at this gym. The staff is nice but the machines are constantly broken. Nothing is kept up you can’t even get a pin for any of the racks. I understand it’s a budget gym, but I cannot recommend it to really anyone. Ownership just doesn’t care and it shows.

They donated a wonderful, high value basket to our college scholarship fundraiser and it helped us raise a lot of money for the scholarship! Can't say enough great things about the commitment that CFX Tinley Park has to the community and its members!

Experiencia positiva: Good gym, unresponsive staff Ive been trying to get a hold of someone to make a membership and personal training but no one seems to ever be at the front desk to take calls or open the door for you (you cant walk in— its locked). I cant get in to discuss a membership. Called several times over the past couple weeks during working hours and most of the time they dont answer. Hard to even start.

Experiencia fantástica: Something notable while first walking into the gym is the friendly staff as they greet visitors at the entrance. The staff do excellent work maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and they keep all the equipment/weights organized and neat. The individuals you encounter at the gym are friendly and everyone is focused on doing their own thing. CFX has a variety of equipment which encourages gym goers to try new things and to keep the regulars interest in staying at cfx. Overall, cfx is a great environment and people should consider joining.

I usually do not write reviews for anything, but the place is cozy, and the staff are amazing especially Sara, she is a personal trainer at the facility. She’s very patient, kind, and beautiful person… she makes you feel like family with her beautiful smile as soon as you walk in the door!

She is motivating and just listening to her testimony for someone so young, she is so helpful and cares about her clients even if you are not her client. The knowledge and extra mile she gives you that is free. Overall, the other workers are caring as well. It’s a community, so if you are looking for a gym this is the one.

Experiencia fantástica: I continue to come to this gym because the group classes are affordable and the trainers really motivate me try my best. Natalie, Sara, Nikki and Crystal are all great trainers who seem to really care about their clients and the exercises. I also like that CFX/Charter is working to replace old equipment in this Tinley Park location. My only issue is that they should give their workers more opportunity for advancement. They have lost some great trainers/workers here who might have stayed longer otherwise. (Monica was my favorite trainer and I miss her here!) It’s an overall pretty good gym with nice people.

Experiencia fantástica: This is actually my first membership at a gym and i like it so far I like how when I come in it’s very neat clean and organized and the doors need to be unlocked on the phone to enter which is really good and keeps everyone safe crystal the personal trainer there is amazing she’s very sweet and gives good workouts and insight on how to grow your muscles and reach your fitness goals what to eat , good form when working out and what workouts to do it’s a really good environment I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a good gym to join

Everybody in there is working out hard, and the gym is only about fitness and not a social gathering The staff and trainers are friendly and attentive. It’s also a clean facility and for the most part when machines are broken down, it’s not for a long period of time.

Experiencia negativa: Signed up and came in for the free trial membership since I was interested in trying this gym out, but I couldn’t even give the place a proper chance. When we got there we were outright ignored by the desk attendant on duty, so we simply left. I can understand being busy, but a simple acknowledgment of the presence of people looking for assistance can go a long way.

Experiencia fantástica: Great and clean atmosphere. The gym is small but they have all of the standard equipment and machines. You let yourself in with an app on your phone or you can get a fob for $5 I believe. I highly recommend this gym.

Experiencia positiva: Interestingly called ' CFX' now here in Tinley Park! Maybe it stands for...Charter Fitness X? I couldn't know. Just a coincidence. A little small but it has many things you need. Wish there was more rooms that are smaller for personal use but it's good overall. They've got a particular monthly price for about $25 (with all the bells and whistles like entry at any time, water massage bed, etc) on the 17th day of every month and they have this harsh subscription that has a autopay feature and penalty for leaving early and it's only their location. (Not sure on the last part. ) Guess where they want you choose? Either way, I like it for what it is.

Experiencia negativa: The gym isn't bad but just like most gyms they try and lock you into contracts and even if things come up in life and you have to cancel they wont allow it and make you pay penalty's or jump through hoops to cancel with a third party. I can't stand gyms that try and force you to stay even in times when you can't and try to screw you even if it is out of your control. I will pass on ever going here again and I will find a gym that doesn't try and screw over the customers.

Row machine screen is flashing a white screen. I do enjoy coming here for its never packed and I am able to access the machines. The team needs to do a look over of their equipment.

Went and talked to someone again in person and they informed me that my membership wasn't canceled and didn't refund me my money. Basically told me "I thought I canceled my membership". Emailed the company and still have had no response.

Experiencia fantástica: Not too busy, and not really over crowded(or atleast during the times I go workout). I would say most of the people that work out here tend to be in their 20s and 30s so it's a nice young, vibrant, friendly atmosphere. Most of the equipment is newer, so that's a plus. When machines break they are typically fixed within a week, so not much down time. The price is fair, not too pricey. I still kinda miss the Orland Park location. The building was much newer, and had a lot more room, but the one in Tinley is still pretty good.
