Experiencia fantástica: I travel all over for work and worked in Bismarck for years. This YMCA is the most versatile, cleanly and organized I’ve been to. It offers a WIDE variety of options from strength to cardio and plyos. Whatever Kara and her staff have done is remarkable. Feels like a new gym since I’ve been here. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a day pass or a membership. As good as it gets.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible place if you want to just go there and shoot around in the basketball courts, never a day where all the gyms aren’t being occupied by people renting them out or little kid basketball practice, let people shoot around sometimes.

Experiencia negativa: I can't believe in this day and age as a grown man I still have to suffer through men of all ages walking around the locker room and saunas where I have to be surrounded by naked men. Like wake up at 5 go to the gym and everyone just wants to walk around naked seems totally ridiculous to me. I didn't get out of bed to see ball sacks. Please there should be a dress code for the sauna and hot tub and maybe close the curtains on the showers it isn't a peep show. I mean statistically there's dudes in there who enjoy it but I am not in that group. Please fix

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to get some exercise. A lot of great options for classes. Really like the walking track. Only complaint is there are days when there are no towels available. But the facility is clean and the staff friendly so that's what matters.

Experiencia negativa: One of the nicest YMCA’s I have been to as far as gym size and equipment goes. Very nice and newly remodeled, all of that was great… $18 extra to use the sauna however?? Complete BS. I travel for work and this is the first Y I have ever encountered with this rule. The main reason I have a membership with the most expensive gym out there is for the sauna… $50 a month and I gotta pay extra to hot box here you’re out of your gal dern minds

Experiencia positiva: Overall good experience with the Y. The pool is sometimes closed due to staffing. However, check your bank account every month to make sure you’re not being overcharged. They will not refund you ☹️

Experiencia negativa: They Don't keep schedule for the aquatic area.... pool slide to be open 1-450 sat. even though 3 life Gaurds are on duty slides still never opened ..saw 4 diffrent ones between 1--330 pm ... even being told that they would for sure be open at 3pm nothing ... and older man lifeguard very very rude not sure how he is still employed there. Honestly don't know how any of them are, considering the lack of doing there Job's like opening up slides when enough lifeguards are there. Or even a notice of slide closures would have been better then what they did.

Experiencia negativa: Awesome facilities and amazing child care when working out. Sadly the staff especially at front desk could use ALOT of work. Very rude and combative when errors happen on their end it only gets worst. Do better and treat ppl better.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the nicer and bigger YMCA’s I’ve been to. Nice weight lifting facility, has a lap pool, racquetball courts and lots of basketball courts.

Experiencia negativa: After purchasing a household membership it was disappointing to find the membership yielded no amenities for children ages 6 to 8.. I was told the only thing the kids could do was to walk around the facility supervised or swim in the inside pool whereby outside would consist of 28° weather.. I didn’t understand why would you purchase a membership for kids when there’s nothing there for them to do, then in order for them to do something there’s a plus charge..

Experiencia fantástica: My family very much enjoys the YMCA and all it has to offer. I have to rave about the Child Watch though that’s offered because without it I wouldn’t be able to get my workouts in. It was hard for this first time mama to drop her little one off but the ladies took her under their wings. Fast forward two years later my daughter actually asks to go to Child Watch to see her friends. All the ladies have been wonderful but I have to name drop Jessica and Mishay who my daughter especially adores and now my little guy is starting to, too! It takes a lot to trust others to watch your children and I’ve never felt more confident in those at the YMCA. Thank you!

Experiencia negativa: Desde el inicio del verano comencé a ir con mi esposo y mi hija, preguntamos si mi hija podía estar mientras nosotros nos ejercitábamos en el momento de inscribirnos, nos dijeron que si mientras esté bajo supervisión de un adulto ella tiene 8 años y mientras yo entreno ella se sentaba en algún lugar con su tablet o cuadernos para no molestar en ningún momento, ayer fui ya que en la semana me falto un día de mi rutina y vino un hombre del personal y se quiso hacer el empleado del mes diciendo que no nos iba a sacar pero que ella no podía estar ahí, pasamos todo el verano yendo sin problema y sin molestar a nadie y viene ayer me dice eso, adicional que va a anotar un notificación en el sistema que ya nos advirtió y que la próxima el llamado de atención será diferente, me molesto muchísimo y mi hija se sintió mal ya que delante de ella dijo todo eso, 3 meses fuimos todos los días y nunca nos dijeron nada y viene este hombre a tratarnos así cuando mi esposo paga una mensualidad, muy grosero.

Experiencia negativa: On 03/19/23 at 1PM I went to try this gym, to see if I like it and get a subscription. I came with two friends who told me that I would like it and I would be satisfied. Their supervisor registered me, I paid the pass for a day of 30 dollars and passed. No one informed me that their closets are sometimes stolen, and let's not leave personal things, precious things in the closet. No one offered me anything, even to rent a lock for the wardrobe. They assured me that everything was safe and my things would be safe. When I left around 3 PM and went to the cafe with the girls, I found my wallet without money, all my money was stolen.I went back to clarify the situation and report the theft. The supervisor took my name, the amount that was stolen and my phone number, in case he finds out something, he will let me know. However, I made a report to the police to establish the negligence of the employers at this company. When the consumer comes to receive a service and pays for this service, it is assumed that this premises is safe, if the consumer or his belongings cannot be safe in the premises, he must be informed when paying for the service, here no one warned me that their lockers can be stolen and we shouldn't leave our personal things in the lockers, or if we have expensive personal things, they should give us a lock to lock the locker.When I told them that my money was stolen, and why I wasn't informed about this in advance so that I wouldn't leave my personal things in the locker, why didn't they give me a lock, supervisor said because this doesn't happen very often with them. Seriously? doesn't happen often, but does it still happen? I received no assurance that they will investigate the case, and not even a compensation from them for this unpleasant experience. Take care, and I hope no one else has such an experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I came here while traveling, and had a great experience. We got in for a $15 family day pass which in my experience is VERY affordable (It is $12 for a single adult, which is still reasonable). They also offer a weekly family pass for $40 ($35 for a single adult) if you are around longer than we were. They had all the equipment you could dream of, including what we wanted: a real power rack (they had a ladder rack too), and believe it or not, 3 platforms with Olympic bumper plates. Highly recommended for anyone who is into powerlifting/Olympic lifting.

Experiencia positiva: Kinda feels like a dungeon and for some reason the girls are very scantily dressed....its a gym not a mating ground. No Rockwall like minot and they charge extra for the locker room with a sauna...minot doesn't do that..its good for a workout but leaves much to be desired

Experiencia positiva: We usually get a winter membership so the kids can swim. There's a new pool addition, but my littles are going to outgrow it pretty soon (wish they had gone a bit larger with the slides). Most of the lifeguards were cool, but one would give us a hard time regularly. I'm all for yelling at my little monsters when they deserve it, but on two occasions we were being talked to for things that directly contradict what was on the rule board.

Experiencia positiva: Great variety of classes, awesome instructors, and friendly staff. The building needs some updates and improvements/maintenance. Looks like they've done some, and slowly working on more. They've updated some cardio and weight equipment. The studio rooms need new equipment like hand weights and mats especially, as they are wore out and falling apart. The gym definitely needs new mats in the "stretching area" because they are discolored, badly wore, and falling apart. Other than that, it's a great facility.

Experiencia negativa: This was the worst place we have ever taken our family of 6. We will never be back. Staff was rude in the pool area. They have no infant life vests,and don't allow you to use a brand new one you just bought for the occasion. Our kids are very active and love the slides and being free as they swim. Here they wouldn't allow my children to use the slide because they weren't tall enough. They are used to going down slides when the water is deeper what makes it so different here. They watched my kids very closely and yelled at them, and my husband. This was our first and last time at this facility. The 30 minutes we spend there was enough.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to be and safe for my boys to be at as well. Just started the child watch and very happy that they have something for my 6 and 8 yr old, while I get some exercise in. I addition have also been able to introduce my 11 yr old to the gym. They also provide some family nights where my boys can bounce, climb walls and just run around and play. They always look forward to movie night!

Experiencia positiva: Best gym in the area in my book, plenty of equipment and has not been too crowded when i go during the day, i'm sure at nights if fills up pretty good with all the family activities they have there. I wish they had a dry sauna but they don't, there are steam rooms in the locker rooms though. (its nice being able to rent a locker and keep your stuff there as well)

Experiencia fantástica: Boasting as the home of the city’s state capital, this Y follows right along as the best YMCA in the state. Staff and people are friendly and the facility is absolutely stellar. Equipment is right up to date for both cardio and weights and is a vast variety in great condition. Men’s locker room should be a model standard for every gym in the State.

Experiencia positiva: Memberships here are not cheap. The building is on the older side. Navigating through the building is difficult and sometimes feels like a maze. I do enjoy the large weight room and wide selection of fittness equipment. There is also a wide variety of other activities such as basketball, racquetball, and fitness classes. Overall if you can get over the price and can learn how to navigate this building, this is a great place to get a membership.
