I rolled with Brad and Dave and Tom and a couple other guys in a one and a half hour action-packed class! Brad took his time to explain the theory and the concepts behind his grappling and everything made sense! Wish I had more time in Binghamton to roll with my newfound friends and absorb more of the BJJ at Broome County Martial Arts.

Tamdan is an excellent teacher with a good sense of humor. He's a good balance between serious and fun. Tamdan is excellent with kids. He's tough on his competitors (and works as hard as they do). For hobbyists young and old, he creates space for them to grow and develop. If you tell Tamdan your goal he'll meet you half way. Also, Tamdan's upper belts David, Brad, and Dom are also very good. They look out for you on the mats and invest in you. To any one reading this that may be nervous about giving it a try, please don't be. Great people, great vibe, great value.

Coach Tamdan McCrory is always keeping an eye out for his students and makes sure we learn it the right way. Classes are beginner friendly and in no time you will excel! Experiencia fantástica: I have been attending classes at Broome County Martial Arts Academy for a little over a year now. My only regret is that I didn't start my journey sooner. Any nervousness or apprehension I had was quickly put to rest during my first class. I realized that we were all there to learn and improve our skills. Everyone was more than willing to give you help. Some of the friendships I have made have extended beyond the school. If you are concerned with how much it costs or if there are year long contracts, don't be. Before I found BCMA, I visited about a dozen schools in the area. None of them compared to the value you get here. If you don't believe it, come down and try it out, Tamdan is always running a special for new people. Speaking of Tamdan, you will not find a better instructor in the area. He knows his stuff and he truly cares about his students in and outside of school. Besides, who would you rather learn from, somebody that learned jiu-jitsu or Muay Thai from reading a book or somebody that does it as a professional?

They accommodated me even though I didn't have a gi. Learnt some great new de la riva techniques and rolled with killers. Thank you Tamdan for hooking me up.

Tamdan and his staff do a excellent job of making BCMA a place for all skill levels and experience, one aspect I really appreciate. Whether you are just looking to learn for self defense purposes, picking up a new hobby, or you dream about competing, BCMA is the place to be. The variety of classes and training offered is great and all of the coaches are highly knowledgeable, respected in their disciplines, and very professional. The gym has a great atmosphere and is very welcoming, even if this is your first time putting on hand wraps for boxing or learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, don’t be intimidated, the other students are supportive and always willing to help (I guarantee you will make some new friends). Honestly it is just a great place with some great people, I highly recommend checking it out.

BCMA has the most thorough, challenging, and useful training around. I started my Journey in August of 2016 and even though I wasn't able to become a full member until a year later I knew from the first class that I had found the right Academy.

From the first moment I walked into BCMA I felt welcomed and encouraged. I can't recommend them highly enough, they even have my 65 year old mother training now. They are amazing at working with each individual and finding the way that you train and learn the best.

I have taken Muay Thai, Boxing, and Jiu Jitsu and immensely enjoy all of them. Although there are few females that attend Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu, I have always felt comfortable. These classes are a fun way to stay in shape and learn self defense!

You can train all day everyday with some insane coaches without getting charged an arm and a leg. Morning-night...it really caters to lost schedules.

Experiencia fantástica: My 11 yr old son and my 7 yr old daughter attend classes here. The staff are amazing with the children. They’re patient and approachable. They have great balance when it comes to having the kids pay attention and focus whilst also having fun and enjoying the class. The thing I think I like the most is that they take their responsibility seriously when it comes to teaching your children. They don’t just show them the moves. They teach them the moral rights and wrongs of using them. The children are being taught how to defend themselves if ever necessary not how to hurt other people or become bullies. It’s a great way for your children to keep fit and healthy, learn great social skills and gain confidence in themselves. I couldn’t recommend BC Martial Arts any higher. I spent a long time looking at all the places I could find in the area before signing my children up and I’m confident I made the right choice. In my opinion this is the best place by far.

The gym is run by former top MMA prospect in Tamdan McCrory, who has first hand experience with the uppermost echelon of competition in the sport and is a high-level martial artist. Instructors are humble and willing to spend extra time with a student if they show interest. There are a variety of options for all levels, but for anybody that is trying to train seriously in the area, it would be a mistake to not come to Broome County Martials Arts.
