Experiencia fantástica: Choice Fitness Elite clubs have so many local options. The clubs that I regularly use, in Peabody, Danvers, and Salisbury, all have Great variety of top quality cardio equipment, free weights, weight machines, large turf areas with sleds, etc, the pools and Jacuzzis in Peabody and Salisbury are clean and easy on the eyes and skin (I damaged my eyes in overchlorinated pools years ago so it's great to be able to swim again, most pools bother my eyes). I'd recommend Choice Fitness, it's the best deal on the North Shore MA.

Experiencia fantástica: I just can’t enough about Choice Fitness! The choices are amazing! From the huge open gym…to the women workout room….and the classes have amazing professionals! But more importantly, the staff is so friendly and accommodating! I wouldn’t workout anywhere else!!!!

Experiencia negativa: Read the fine print when you fill out the contract. Sent out collections that dinged my credit report for non-payment even though I never re-signed. Poor business tactic.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is awesome. I have been going here since it was golds gym and it’s only gotten better. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful, and they are constantly cleaning the equipment and upgrading. Clientele is a great mix of older and younger people. Highly recommend this gym for any type of fitness level.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys are awesome. I had a contract glitch and instead of the normal run around and me having to pay they simply gave me a credit and took care of it. They treat you like a person and not a number. I highly recommend!!!

Experiencia negativa: Boston North was fabulous and I have belonged for years. It had great classes, was immaculate, members and staff were friendly and the gym was well equipped. Unfortunately it was bought out by Choice Fitness. They raised rates, reduced classes and made it impossible to cancel. I do not recommend this gym.

Experiencia fantástica: I have enjoyed my time at this gym, great equipment, friendly staff and members. Lots to offer. It does come off on the pricy side. Only reason I am no longer attending this facility is that I no longer live in the area. I recommend giving this place a try.

Experiencia fantástica: It's everything I look for in a gym- very clean, large variety of equipment and classes, friendly and knowledgeable staff, non-intimidating environment...the list goes on and on. This is the type of place where you have the option to meet new people (who share at least one interest with you) or put your headphones on a get into a zone, either way I always have a great workout. If you're tired of your local muscle-head gym, or just ready to feel better about yourself, look no further, join this club.

Experiencia positiva: For a regular fitness club Boston North Fitness is pretty darn nice! The facilities are huge, well kept, and nicely air conditioned. There is a wide variety of vintage fitness equipment on site including a lot of Lifetime Fitness, some Cybex, some Hammer Strength, and some others. We definitely find a few pieces here for body building but there are also a few pieces lacking so it's a trade off when we come here. They just raised the day passes to $18 per day per person which wasn't an amazing surprise after just paying less the week before. For two of us we paid more for one day than for a monthly membership. Perhaps a couples rate would sweeten the deal! The locker rooms are clean and vast here, and there's a very nice women's only weight room. It appears they do moon shoe classes and pilates here and have just resurfaced their group studios wooden floor. The staff seem friendly enough, but were unable to help us locate something lost on the gym floor after multiple phone calls, so we drove an hour to walk in and immediately retrieve it, but we were just thankful the item was still there from the day before!! We've had great visits here and several members have made a point to be friendly to us! Great option in the heat of summer here in Boston and we'll likely be back when in the area! Great choice for a consistent membership if you're in the area IMHO.

Experiencia negativa: This place is having ALOT OF FINANCIAL COMPLAINTS and nothing is being done to fix it. Very shady and concerning. Save your money everyone because this business will steal it and not cancel your membership when requested. Then you will owe a bunch of money. This is a hustler and not a business for the people.

Experiencia negativa: My husband and I had memberships there , i cancelled my account physically in august so there as one payment coming out each month for my husband He rarely used and went to cancel his account only to find he owed 290 bucks !!! Then when we brought the bank statements showing his payments the manager said I never cancelled the account . And the payments were for my membership and my husbands account was in Arrears for 290 this sound familiar When I said I cancelled I signed and physically signed a cancellation form . He’s said I’ve no record of that . Have you ? Show me the paper copy . No notifications or anything to say hey you missed a payment. Nothing just by chance we could have been sitting on a colossal bill . Real fishy ! Should be investigated . We cut our loses and I plan to inform every one I meet of poor business practices. Advise everyone who’s been shafted to do so as well

My contract ended so I stopped going (obviously) after about 8 months I went back to sign up for a new contract & they told me I owe $250 because I didn't physically cancel my membership after my contract expired.... Not to mention they closed for a while due to covid after it expired, they also screwed me for a month after I broke my hand & had to pause my payment.

Experiencia negativa: Received a letter this week that Boston north had sent me to collection, for $1585. For a membership that I cancelled in 2015 and was originally a 2 year contract but I decided to cancel because the gym was not keeping up with the equipment.(rust on cardio equipment and missing parts to resistance equipment) I Went by the gym to find out why I owed anything let alone that much and was informed that the contract states after completing a 2 year contract, you are, automatically rolled into a $35 a month membership. I asked to see the contract and it contradicts itself, it says if your haven't paid your bill for 2 billing cycles, which I had assumed I was already cancelled so I wouldn't have paid, the membership is void and will go to collection. So even if I hadn't cancelled, which i did but didn't think I needed to hold on to the cancellation form for 5 years, and Boston north didn't receive payment for 2 months my membership would have been void so how can they treat me as a member in good standing, as if I had completed the 2 years and roll me into a monthly membership of $35 a month for 5 years. GM was trying to double talk and say one thing but then twist words and then he even had a employee, who when I originally came in and was looking for information, had said there was nothing else she could do for me because "she was just an employee, you'd have to talk to the owner who's on the phone" started to barrage me with membership clauses like a lawyer. Please be careful with this gym, this is not the way reputable companies operate.

Experiencia negativa: I just received a bill from a collection agency for $930.60. For a membership that I went in, and closed 3 years ago. This business has still been charging me. I called the gym and they said they didn’t have access to the information pertaining to my membership. So apparently I’m still getting billed but they won’t offer help on what the problem is. It’s too bad that they have had to resort underhanded tactics instead of being an honest business. I have never had a problem where the gym would NOT close my membership and then continued to bill me.

Experiencia fantástica: Work close by and I am glad this place exists because it gives me exactly what I want when I want. It’s convenient with my key never busy and you can tell they care about quality and cleanliness and client experience. Private bathroom a plus and a good variety of equipment outside the norm for change of pace. High end high quality club. Feels like my own private gym even when working out along side other people.

Experiencia fantástica: I've literally been going here for 20 years. Same people here every time I come. It's become kind of a social thing as the regulars are pretty friendly. Clean and reasonably priced. They offer classes, trainers, CrossFit and tanning. Locker rooms have more than enough space. Sauna and steam room both work well. Spent Plenty if time in both during the many winters I've been a member. Plenty of parking.
