Within two minutes, I was already beyond frustrated. This experience has completely killed my motivation to work out. Train your front desk staff, these kids, better.

Experiencia negativa: I walked in, I asked how the membership worked and if I could get a membership. I was then met with the stare of a thousand truths. It looked as if she was remembering those lost in the great Canadian goose migration. By that I mean she was dense and said “uhhh I don’t know” and then left the desk and walked away. I could’ve just walked in and started using the equipment at my own leisure, but it was simply too packed. So many teenagers. After reading the reviews, I came to the conclusion that this place probably won’t be open for much longer.

I have been training with her for the past 2 years approximately and I can share the amazing personal training skills, she possesses. Yedith has proven how amazing she is as a trainer during our sessions by teaching me adequate posture during our training. Also, I do her group training classes, and she gives us different routines. She has been a great inspiration for me during my fitness journey because she was the only trainer who was able to build my leg muscles, making me stronger and giving me trust in the process. Experiencia negativa: I loved going into the gym until I got fined 15$ for the door closing behind me and a guy literally running just to get in for free. How is that my fault.

Experiencia negativa: As a member, you are expected to be FREE SECURITY. billed me $15 cuz 3 ppl showed up in vestibule when I electronically opened the door. And the strangers came in behind me. Apparently I was supposed to stop them! 3rd stranger scanned his app even tho door was open. He knew, I guess.The two chicks, who MAY/MAY NOT HAVE HAD MEMBERSHIPS, walked in without scanning. Cuz door was open of course! They bill me for it. Mind you, I didn't hold door open for them. I just open door and walk in, and as I say, fail to be free security I get punished. One hour my working wages gone, as if I never worked for it. Disappear. You know what they should do is fine people $5 who leave their weights scattered on the floor, litter, and moan at the top of their lungs on each rep. Put some order in facility. But no. You would think with all this extra money, maybe $30-$90/night from scamming member, maybe they fix their equipment with this but no. So sit up bench and leg press machine bench are loose and tilt and wobble left right. You end up almost falling off decline sit up bench upstairs. Is that bad, throw it away or somebody get hurt. then with leg press bench, is not that bad yet but you push several hundred pounds, assume you want seat to be stable...come on brother is lunatic...I imagine somebody hurt themselves at gym and gym probably say you sign contract say you no sue.....yeah man but don't forget you are GYM. People pay for you to rent them GYM EQUIPMENT. We as members have right that All gym equipment be safely operating, under repair with warning sign, or thrown in the trash. No in between. Equipment should not be out there with the rest of the machines as if they work. I am a fairly light individual. 170lb tall srelatively thin, I imagine if someone on a weightloss journey were to use sit up bench upstairs they would bust their **** severely. When you go down decline whole bench tilt almost45 degrees, I fear someone overweight fall on their head, perhaps injure their feet ligament that hold them in place at top.Twist their spine. Gym would say sound like a you problem. In boxing room, wall dented in there is powderthat comes out. Very maintained. On stair master, one time I step on guy say "don't go on that one, it skips a step."Told me go on another one, another guy a more experience guy comes goes on the one in the corner that "skips a step." he'll go up three or four stairs up then do a shuffle on each rotation. Brother is nuts. THE GOOD: I love gym has dungeon feel. High ceiling. Not too bright. Not too packed, do what you need to. Equipment is spaced out, you not crammed. Good supply work out machines. Specifically for back, several rowing machines vertical and horizontal axis you operate with free weights or stack weight, cable or manual grips. Good spine day. Cardio rowing machines too. Free weights; two or three sets of popular low weight dumbbells, typically not all taken. $30 membership for 247 access to all locations great deal. Most all gym goers good people. Only one weird fitness couple come in to film, and one group of college boys that moan their names in their ears on each rep. ATTA BOY. *casually squats a thousand pounds*. Sucks to lift when they lift. MY PROBLEM with this gym is specifically what management finds Important And Not Important - They are hypocritical: They won't dare instruct Their Staff to be security, and tell lunkheads to quit moaning and breaking sound barriers and that they should (reasonably) shut up orleave, but they do instruct paying members to be security and (risk safety) block people from entering. As for money, they will Scam You Via Legal Contract to get 15 unconsensual bucks up out ya, keep it coming in, but they won't dare Spend The Money to make sure all equipment has pins for the weight stacks, all benches are stable. As for the one man staff, they sure do spend lot of time on cell phone zero time cleaning. Sometimes wrappers littered, bottles. Dumbells where you need to walk. Don't trip. There are careless young men that come here.

Experiencia negativa: I had my car window broken here two days ago and my purse was stolen. Please don't leave any belongings in car and watch your surroundings. Only the first floor water fountain works. And everything is always dirty and sticky.

Experiencia negativa: Place is a scam. CFX does everything in their power to send you into collections. Even after having signed a cancellation letter signed in house and published to their site. This company doesn’t deserve the right to be an accredited establishment. Should have their business license revoked immediately.

Experiencia negativa: Joined for the wide variety of equipment. Since joining, they’ve been taking away equipment and it’s constantly broken. The gym/locker room also isn’t very clean and spaces in general aren’t very clean. The room they used to have as open space for individual exercise has since been closed for jiu jitsu I was also “flagged” for letting another member in, but I only let myself in. Not sure how that happened as there was no one else but me entering the gym even on the footage.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible gym. Bathrooms are disgusting nobody ever cleans them. I joined because they advertised being able to bring a friend with membership and was told later that they don’t offer that. I asked if the rules changed and was told no. I Immediately canceled my membership.

Experiencia negativa: Would rate this gym a zero if that was an option. Dirty facility, broken equipment, inept staff and management. This gym was nothing but problems. During staffed hours there were no staff to be found , or they were preoccupied doing their own workouts, watching TV, and on their phones. During early mornings unhoused/mentally ill individuals would trail in behind members and hangout in the gym and nothing was done about it. Also never any clean towels available to wipe equipment - was advised to use paper towel from the bathroom.... which there was none! After a week at this gym I had had enough and went to cancel my membership - took several visits during staffed hours to actually find a staff member to cancel it for me and that turned into a whole other ordeal. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Gym staff doesn't seem to care who's paying or not Especially after hours. it's nothing but free loaders being let in and taking up equipment, messing up the bathrooms and breaking everything.Almost tempted to cancel my own membership to join them. Doesn't seem like anyone would stop me From going in anyway. Not only that but I've been "flagged" for walking into the gym and someone coincidentally being behind me after hours and now I'm getting emails saying I can be charged if I do it again Wild.

I pay my membership for me and my guest, however others come in groups of 5 plus off one membership and staff does nothing

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE!! This gym is horrible. One the bathrooms are disgusting. They are cleaned once a day and not even properly. There is no one that puts away weights so you can definitely find yourself almost falling from dumbbells being everywhere and equipment. And they recently implemented a rule that is charging you for bringing in guest when you’re not. I went to the gym after hours and they “flagged” me for bringing in a person when the person I was with is also a member. Will definitely be canceling my membership.

Experiencia positiva: I can appreciate they got most of the equipment you’d need for a workout, a turf with sleds, and it’s spacious. Upon walking in though, customer service is meh, there’s no cleaning equipment aside from dry towels, and the place reeks of sweat. It’s a little hot as well, with dust everywhere and some of the machines are on its last thread. This place clearly doesn’t get much maintenance often. At least I was able to have a peaceful gym session, just didn’t like how run down it appears to be and most of the other people working out were teens.

Experiencia negativa: I truly and genuinely hope that this review makes it to someone from CFX who cares about their facility because this place has become a total disaster. The women restrooms are very nasty, they are always nasty and dirty marks everywhere. The floor is beyond description, there are so many hair balls and mounds of dust everywhere. Overall, the paying people also you all need to do better and put things back where they belong and help this place keep clean. Then, you have what I call paw patrol in the front Chase and Skye whom regardless of checking in with the open path app as you walk in they want you to check in all over again. But, they pick and choose who they want to check, hence I am observant and notice that they will check some people in twice and some they do not even bother with. But this place needs some major cleaning, which is my main point because all the machines are dusty, there is dust everywhere and the showers are never touched either. The staff in the front seem to have this "attitude" in the front and can be confrontational with some people who walk in with questions. If you want to attract customers and bring in revenue you have to be presentable not only in your people but within the facility because no one wants to come into a dirty facility that smells all the time.

Experiencia negativa: Plenty of equipment but the bathroom is always dirty. 75% of the time there's no towels to clean off somebody else's sweat before using a machine. Other wise very friendly staff and people that work out.

I am giving it a 3 start because I left my original gym that I was member for over 7 years to join CFX just because the website of all the locations mention massages beds and chairs included on their memberships, which none of those at all their locations work, NONE. Very disappointing. Those would be great for recovery. The front desk people never know anything about that and they just said that those had been like that forever. Not a great answer. There's no one there who can fix them.

Experiencia negativa: The gym is a great place to lift, and that’s the only good thing. The bathrooms are trashed almost every morning. The staff have been insanely rude at times (although the 1st staff members in the morning have been good). I barely understand what I’m paying for half the time because equipment has taken months to fix and I check myself in the door. I am hoping to come back here in the future but I am tired of being upset at a dirty disorganized gym 5-6 days a week.

Very helpful even outside of training hours, text anytime he’ll respond with tips and suggestions on a healthy life style, would recommend Rafael.

Experiencia negativa: The only thing this place had going was the boxing room. Now they replaced it with "team training". Only reason I was coming to this gym but now going to search for another gym. Also equipment is consistently broken, and a bunch of high schoolers coming in without a membership and gets crowded.

SPECIALLY WORKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE !! people in front desk lack of manners not even a hello welcome do you need help with something they just stare at you while all the employees in the front desk talk.

Experiencia negativa: This gym is not good. I have membership through my ehalth insurance, and my husband I came to sign up through them on Sunday. There were two people at the front, but the guy at the front made the woman sign us both up while he played on his phone the entire time, not doing anything remotely close to work. Then there's the gym itself. The equipment is in bad shape and the gym is probably the dirtiest one I've been to. The toilets are gross, the backs look like they haven't been wiped up in months. Several lights are burnt out which makes it feel pretty dark in there. It seems like once equipment breaks, they don't bother to repair it. The two positives for me are that it's open 24 hours, though their open path system is glitchy and sometimes doesn't want to let you in, and the fact they have 2 hex bars for working out. I will go here when I want to use a hex bar or when I want to work out when other gyms are closed, but I would never pay for a membership here. I'm just glad it's all included in my health insurance because this gym is not worth it.

Experiencia negativa: This place is dirty. The bathrooms are disgusting. Toilets haven't been cleaned and it smells bad in there. I paid a dollar for the first month for a trial and I won't be back. Nothing updated since it was Charter. I went to cancel the trial membership before it renews. The guy at the counter didn't know what I was talking about. Someone else helped me cancel and they said I would be emailed a receipt. I never got an email. I'm going to be emailing them today to ask for a receipt. I'm not trying to pay for a membership to this place.

Experiencia negativa: Compared to other Charter/CFX this location has definitely gone downhill. It’s always dim near the back wall and the locker rooms. There’s never any towels available to wipe machines down and the showers are dirty and rusty.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been training with Omar the assistant manger there for over a year now, and I have seen great results with my overall strength and fitness. I started off at 175 pounds when I first came to him last April and now a year later I am weighing in at 193 pounds. I am also a personal trainer but the way Omar trains you is something that isn’t taught over night. It’s always a great experience and you definitely get your moneys worth. Go check him out and come in and get that workout!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this Gym!!! I have been coming to CFX North Riverside for several years and I am impressed with cleanliness, courteous and the pleasant staff. I like the fact that it is open 24x7 and I have no issues finding parking and they have elevator access to the 2nd floor. The atmosphere in the Gym is very professional, other members are helpful. I feel safe and do not feel intimidated. I use free weights, the stair master, recumbent bikes, and the cable machines. Typically, I don’t have to wait long for others to finish using the equipment. Additionally, I took training sessions with Dennis C. and he is the ultimate professional. He helped me with difficult workouts, right techniques including changing exercise routines and trying out new exercises. He gave me coaching, tracked the biometrics, and provided advice on diet that would help me achieve my goals and encouraged me to continually improve. He was very accommodating to my changing schedules and I really appreciated it. Overall, this is a great place and I love this Gym!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming to this gym for quite some time now and I'm not the biggest gym goer, I'm still kinda new to this whole thing and last week that I was there I asked one of the workers there for their assistance on a lower body machine that I was struggling with, he came over and helped me out and was super helpful, I asked him a few questions to make sure that I was doing it right and he really helped me out, this was the same gentleman that signed me up earlier this year. Allthough he tried to get me to do personal training with him and I refused, he was still very sweet and super helpful unlike any other trainer that is only willing to help if you pay them. If I were to ever do personal training it would definitely be with him, I didn't quite catch his name but he was around 5'10 and had on glasses.

Experiencia positiva: I have been going here almost a year now, and I give it a mixed bag. Here is a pro's and cons list: Pro's: -24/7 accessibility/ Lax front desk (also a con). -Not overcrowded. I never really feel like I am weighting for any machines or lifting areas. I can also social distance fairly easily - separate rooms to do stretching and a turf area. Con's -The majority of people who work there are socially awkward and unhelpful. Their work ethic leaves much to be desired. -Walking to the front desk is a crapshoot. Not a ton of consistency. I asked for a key tag so I can scan instead of them manually entering my number every time. They said they got rid of them. So I went to anther Charter location and guess what? They had key tags! Whoever manages the place should get with the times and make things a little more efficient. -They tend to spot clean areas. Anytime you are doing floor work, or sitting on a bench looking underneath free weight racks, there is quite an impressive collection of dust bunnies and long hair. Anytime I do push ups guaranteed dust and long hair is clinging to my shirt lol.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been coming to CFX for 4-5 years and this place is just awful now. It was mediocre when I first joined and when Omar came in the place was constantly being updated with machinery and the layout of the place, but since he’s been gone it’s gone downhill in every way. Machine are broken and missing clips/pins, the place is dirty and disorganized, staff just sits around when the entire place could be organized because weights get moved around. Members don’t even wipe down the machines they’re using nor is it enforced. Never enough bottles as it is, I’ve gotten used to bringing my own. I’ve seen a cleaning lady once in the last 6 months and that’s it. Actively looking for a new gym now.
