Experiencia fantástica: Larger than expected

Experiencia positiva: I want to love this gym even though the equipment is outdated and often the cardio machines malfunction. And I would love it, if the cardio room was not soo hot and stuffy. There’s no ventilation either so you’re breathing in everything. There are often several younger staff at the front desk that are just talking to each other and I feel like it’s inconvenient to them when you ask them for something. That aside, I would still continue to be a member if they would just adjust the cardio room because as others have noted, there are not a lot of choices locally.

Experiencia fantástica: This gym has recently gotten new management. I'm very impressed on how things have changed as well as the extreme professionalism of the staff. People are very kind and welcoming. I addition, i especially love how I can now say that I belong to a veteran owed gym in our community! I really wish this gym nothing but good vibes and success!

Experiencia negativa: This gym is subpar at best. The machines are super old and lack variety. They are also placed super close together so that if one person is on a machine you will almost hit them when walking by. While the cost of membership is low, anytime of day you visit will be busy. If you enjoy using machines/free weights be prepared for lots of high schoolers and towels being scattered across a bunch of different machines for the people who are “reserving” them for later in their workout. Unfortunately this is one of the only gyms in Benicia and they maximize on knowing this is people’s only option.

Experiencia fantástica: Benicia Health and Fitness Club provides a clean, bright, and welcoming atmosphere. They are also very supportive of their clientele. You can tell that they want to help you reach your fitness goals. The equipment available is well maintained and always in working condition too.

Experiencia fantástica: Benicia Health & Fitness is a family owned club. Barbara Koerner and her family have been in Benicia for 4 decades and they are community folks. This club is awesome! The facilities are cleaned and sanitized every day, they provide sanitary wipes near all the workout stations, they provide towel service, they have Kleenex boxes everywhere, and they have hot and dry saunas and a separate circuit training room and workout rooms for women only. Benicia Health has excellent modern & serviced weight equipment and a several hard-wood cardio rooms with cycle classes and other group workouts. They have day care! And, if you find ANY issue: you talk to Barbara – she wants you to be healthy; she will work with you. The staff is "on the ball": if you need something, they will stop everything and help you. They have a beverage area with free wifi, desks & stools so you can bring your tablets & laptops and have a cold beverage and work or check your e-mail. They also have tanning & auto-bed massages. It's a very social club so smile and say hi to everyone. Benicia is a small town and this is the club where everyone works out so introduce yourself.

Experiencia fantástica: The locker rooms are very big. It is a nice space to be able to change in after work and keep my stuff. They are kept very clean too. One thing I really like at the gym is they have towels to use throughout my work out.

Experiencia fantástica: I really like Benicia Health and Fitness Center. I have asked for different types of equipment in the past and they have been able to get it for me and others that were looking to use that machine. It is superbly equipped.

Experiencia fantástica: I used to go to another fitness club and I wasn't too happy with what they offered. An instructor told me about BHFC and I thought I would try it. When I came in I fell in love with the club. I really like the strength training class that they offer and the child care is a nice benefit for my family.

Experiencia fantástica: I love the classes that BHFC offers. I am a regular at yoga and circuit class. The teachers are all so knowledgeable about the body and stretches I can do to make sure I am not going to hurt myself. The rest of the staff is friendly too!

Experiencia fantástica: When things break, repairs or other corrections are arranged quickly and efficiently. I have been a member of several gyms, visited several more as a guest, and worked in one and this is clearly the best I have seen. The membership fees are reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: Three years ago, I was new to town and needed a new gym to go to. There are two in town so I checked them both out. The first was dimly lit and I didn't really like it. But Benicia Health and Fitness club was great. They were receptive to my needs and I signed up right after my tour.

Experiencia fantástica: I am there 7 days a week and I would say the rates are good for the value and quality of the equipment they offer. I have also been able to meet with independent work out teachers too.

Experiencia fantástica: I have traveled a lot across the US and this gym ranks among my favorites. I feel very fortunate that this gym is only a few minutes from my home. All the equipment is of high quality and maintained well by the staff. It's always nice to see the employees wiping down the equipment throughout the day to keep everything clean and sanitized.

Experiencia fantástica: Love the hometown vibe and catching up with my community! Michael is always positive at 5 AM even when I want to be sleeping! Kyle is a great kid and nice to hear about how his life! The gym is fully equipped and has a bit of everything for all styles. Love the Yoga classes and those especially with Karen, Claudia and Kay!

Experiencia fantástica: Love this local gym, convenient, clean, offers a selection of group classes from ujam, trx l, spin, yoga and more!

Experiencia positiva: Great staff, super friendly, great prices. The ellipticals that are older, are rusted and pretty nasty, but my biggest complaint is that the wi-fi seems to only work about 50% of the time which is irritating!!! Suggestion box comments have not made a change for the wi-fi issue.

Experiencia positiva: The free weights are excellent and well spaced. The staff is always super awesome and nice. The elipticals are good but half are somewhat new and the other half are not. You can tell in the gait and stride. Desires are for those to be updated. The classes are always fantastic and the yoga in the morning - Restorative? - is extremely popular and for good reason. It's very well lead. And they have a dry sauna and a steam room! Fantastic to have in our little town. Some of the down sides are that the facility locker rooms on the sauna and shower side have benches... two. So, 5pm or 7:30am on a weekday and all lockers taken, there's a whole bunch of insecure awkwardness. More benches, more lockers and bar mat like mats on the floor would be great improvements. Non sauna side men's locker room isn't for the faint of heart and may traumatize olfactory senses. Just saying, it doesn't smell like a spa or remotely even close to an Axe body wash commercial, which you would welcome if you gandered a whiff on the wrong day.

Experiencia positiva: Reasonable membership price with lots of classes and great workout fitness equipments. ! Camela's Spin classes on Monday and Wednesday morning's are a must try ! I highly recommend it !

Experiencia positiva: Great facility! The child care is crazy good, access to so much more than the chain gyms offer. Lots of equipment clean towels etc...if only they could develop the cafe and open it to public? Might bring in new revenue stream and more client exposure. A great club for a very good price.

Experiencia positiva: This gym would benefit from a remodel. It has lots of equipment but everything is a little grungy and dank. Most of the front desk are nice but in particular the moppy-haired teenager needs an attitude check.

Experiencia fantástica: A great place to work out. All the instructors are experienced and the front desk people are friendly. I have been there many years and I have no complaints. Great for families. The premises are clean and there is plenty of free parking.

They are there anytime you need them to ask a question about the equipment, the class schedule, and other things. It is a great place to work out. The community feeling is also a really nice part of the experience too.
