Experiencia negativa: I have been a member for years and one day randomly Mark belittled me in his office in the worst way possible because he thought I wasn’t a member and just a random person showing up and he went through my phone and bank statement

Experiencia positiva: I like this gym, I like to swim they have a lap pool, hot tub, sauna, Great equipment on the newer side. Only thing I have a small problem with is cleanliness of showers, and they should take you around and explain use of equipment, but if you ask they are friendly and will help. It's a comfortable atmosphere you don't feel judged, and great hours, you will be glad you joined.

One think that i mind very much is this : you have showers that have no shower curtains and you do not have any privacy while taking a shower, there is probably a bunch of old pervers(i saw one walking around naked which i dont f... care as long as you dont interfere with me) who's just staring at you and waiting for opportunity...i experienced it tonight. Old guy came in right across my shower and started to talk to me for absolutely no reason, i came there minding my own business. I took my time and i was swimming, i really enjoyed it btw, finished with it and i was on my way out.... He has been coming in and out pool area while i was swimming...seemed to me like he was stalking me...unacceptable behavior!

Experiencia negativa: If you are a student athlete steer clear of this gym as one you are only “allowed” to go certain days and times but then when you get it pre-approved with Mark, the owner, he takes everything back as he stated the previous day. These student athletes never cause any issues and simply want to workout and be healthier. We have been using this gym for 2 years with no issues until yesterday. Never again will we recommend this gym and will be sure to tell all of the collinsville athletes to steer clear as well.

I did quit once but found this gym to be the best for me, based on location, variation of workouts this place is set up for, indoor pool, location that offer me the option to run outside as well as the many machines, people are great [both staff and the members alike]. In other words, I Like This Gym.

Experiencia negativa: Supposed to be a family friendly place but doesn't seem to actually be that. Lots of detailed cleaning required from locker rooms to pool. Very neglected area. Most members are very nice, but definitely has its Karen's.

Experiencia positiva: Over the last year I have noticed an increase in "sprucing up" efforts, as one would do if they were prepping a location for sale. Absent are measures to get rid of the "gnats" or whatever they are that hang out in the mens showers. Theyve been there long enough to be observed by management or to not be judged as occasional visitors. Some of the lockers have been repaired with screws and bolts that are clearly the wrong size and present an "injury possibility" to someone unaware of their presence. Another modification they could attend to is layer upon layer of paint on some of the sufaces in the mens shower/spa area. This speaks "inattention" to the observer and undermines other efforts. They could do their patrons a service by installing towel spin driers like the "Y" has at their locations. I have been a member intermittently since their opening. It seems to me that although theyve been around for decades, theyre still learning how to treat customers and maintain a business location. These are weak areas that I would attend to immediately if it were my business. Other than those I would say iits a pretty nice place overall.

The owner is also very nice and continues to invest in maintaining/improving the establishment. Edit: Been going here for years, all the employees are very nice and there is a great community overall at the gym.

Not school, not drugs, not my girlfriend; I even did alcohol, but that just left me even more lonely. After that I thought I’d branch out, so I got involved in a Jamaican dog fighting circle, but I soon learned that was bad news. I was lost. But it was in the pit of despair that I found the thing that changed my life forever. I found leisure world health club. I started coming here every day and my life has turned around since then. The employees at this organization gave me confidence about my lackluster calves and my micro forearms which gave me the motivation to ask out the girl of my dreams. She is my now soon to be wife. Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to give a shout out to a lady (Pam) who holds the boot camp class on Thuesday mornings. You have really changed my perspective of how training should be done! I will be asking off for her class which is held from 8am-10 am. Her strategy is to get there around that time, no set time....she will lead you through a complete wirkout. Experiencia positiva: Great place for the money. Only negatives are no child care on weekends which is a big deal for me! Also only one tanning bed with no options on buying lotion or goggle wear. There should be lotion available for purchase if your advertising a tanning bed. Plus the lady at the front desk couldn't break 100 dollar bill. That's really unprofessional. How am I supposed to pay for something if you don't have proper change? Beyond that I love the atmosphere not real pushy people. It's a laid back down to earth place. Loved the owner really nice guy!

Experiencia negativa: I am posting this now because I used to be a member some time ago, and have considered trying again if the reviews were good because it is close to home. The lady whom I spoke with when signing up was really nice and professional. I did find a lack of help as I am not familiar with gym equipment, or how to use them. I was shown the equipment extremely fast and still ended up not knowing how to use any of it. I was locked into a contract that I didn't find expensive, but after my first few visits I realized that this gym is not good for those that are not already in good health and may be overweight (at least for myself). My first visit was extremely uncomfortable, another member had walked up to me, stood there watching, and stared as if I didn't belong there, how unnerving...the second time I could not find one single person to show me some of the equipment I have never used before (my memory is very bad, must be shown more than once typically due to medical condition). When I realized how rude people were and the lack of compasion by the staff I asked to have the contract ended. WELL...they refused to end my contract with them, I continued to pay for services I didn't use anymore do to the "fat shaming" so-to-speak from some random female club member (she was in very good shape). I thought the gym was a place to work on getting healthy but being made to feel like I didn't belong there prevented that for me. I feel like my health wouldn't have declined had I been able to stay but I was made to feel seriously uncomfortable and it just wasn't worth it to me. Maybe I will try again at a later time if things changed since I have been there. Mind you it has been several years ago since I have visited, maybe it has changed since then.

Enough equipment to work any part of the body. Sauna and whirlpool made the workout experience fantastic. Can't wait to come back again.

Experiencia negativa: When it's slow, you are working around them cleaning. If you go later, you have a crowd and can't get all of your training completed. It would be great if they can clean when they are closed.

An entire room dedicated to free weights, an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, and a variety of classes for everyone!!! My entire family loves coming to work out or have fun during open swim!! Did I mention for a family of four we only pay $35/mo? That's for everything mentioned above!!!
