Experiencia negativa: The gym offers decent classes, and the wet spa/thermal suite is a nice perk, especially in winter when a soak in the jacuzzi feels like an escape. However, the cons include an older, "stuffy" crowd and occasional busyness. While the women’s locker room may appear clean, it often isn’t—there’s always hair in the sauna and steam room, and the showers are horrendous (only use them if absolutely necessary).

Experiencia negativa: Was a member here ages ago and left because of the staffs discriminatory actions against my wife who was breastfeeding. It’s been a while so I called about membership for myself during the cold months where my home gym is less than ideal - what a shocker that these people are still unprofessional, rude, and clueless and now that extends to you even if you aren’t a member yet. You wish the scale was 1-10 stars so I could leave even more empty.

Experiencia positiva: I love the facilities. When I got here in July I was overwhelmed with the pool and the locker room and the equipment. HOWEVER, what they don't bother to tell you is it the pool is taking over in the late afternoons by the local school. Right of the time that work is getting out, which ends up being the time I did my workout. Looking for another gym now because of that. I chose this one specifically cuz it had a pool and a hot tub for my back, and now I can't use it during the school year

Experiencia positiva: The steam room, hot tub, plenty of group fitness sessions are what I am here for. I am not going to stop going here. Yes there are also some challenges such as lap pool being very busy in the evenings for swim training sessions . It would be nice if there is a way to reserve the lanes through the app or an option available in the app for checking lane usage before coming to the pool but that’s only a suggestion. Overall I loved this facility and have been coming here for long time and would love to continue.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT JOIN - and there’s only one name why you shouldn’t - AMY SAN FILIPPO. Been at this place for the last three years. Do not be fooled by the facility. It’s been run by a bunch of unprofessionals and she is the latest to be added to this list. It’s a money making place with zero consideration for how they treat their customers. And if they treat their customers so horribly - employees would be even worse - which in turn affects how the kids are treated during their swim lessons. And as per her email to me - in her own words - join any other place YMCA, aquatots, goldfish, or Buckeye Swim School. Atleast your kids will learn, you won’t have to worry if they will be accepted in the next group lesson, won’t have to wait months to get in etc. previously mount Carmel was known for their lessons - not anymore!!!

Experiencia negativa: MEMBERS ARE NOT VALUED We have been members at this fitness center for over 3 years and it has been a downhill experience for us. The most recent example is they now require kids swim lesson students to bring their own towels from home. This is after they increased private swim lesson prices by 25%. This is another example where the management really doesn't have a clue how to treat it's members. Towels is a basic amenity that every member should get. I anticipate that they will begin asking members to bring soap and their own pool water!!!

My friend referenced me for swim lessons here … I called every single month from October -February and they never could tell me any information at all about sessions that were coming up. Today I called; and they said they were in the middle of a session. So ridiculous. I wasted all of this time waiting for them for my daughter; guess we’re headed to AquaTots after all.

Experiencia fantástica: The facility is cean with plenty of space between equipment, making workouts very comfortable even during higher traffic hours. The pool is fantastic, as are the hot tub and shower/locker facilities. It is 8 miles from home but worth the drive.

Experiencia fantástica: This place has premium-level facility with amenities to match. It can be geared toward Royal Army (England or Hungarian) or VETS, not US Army (Pentagon), but welcome to try out anyhow or anyway. Facility is using an excellent choice of Management Protocol for operation. I think there is a Gigastar signatures going on behind my back in Foyer, I guess I'll find out.

Everything is clean (and the cleaning staff are SO nice), there is a variety of classes which included early morning, afternoon/evenings and weekends. The exercise includes aquacise which, again, includes a variety of class options and times. I've loved every instructor I've had there, they're all gems. The prices are reasonable (please, compare them with Lifetime.) Another thing I really like is no children under 12 in the locker rooms, instead they have family locker rooms. No children running around screaming in the changing room! There are age limits for the fitness classes and the equipment as well. I highly recommend.

Experiencia positiva: Clean, friendly fitness center. Membership is reasonably priced considering you get access to a pool and plenty of other amenities. The class schedule is diverse and the equipment is in good condition. The only downside is that it gets crowded in the evenings, especially the pool (they host school swim teams I think) and the weight machines. I would definitely go mornings instead of evenings if I was able.

Experiencia positiva: Good gym with a HUGE variety of fitness classes to pick from. Not only that but it is always clean and staff are super welcoming. My only downside is that the equipment is old, and there seems to be a lack of machines. Moreover, it would be a nice addition for a heated/warmer room for yoga classes, personally the cold did not help me to relax. Overall, if you’re interested in the activities this place provides you will enjoy it. If you’re going for the gym equipment just go somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Don't get carried away with the facility, if you purpose is specific to kids swim lessons. Constant instructor turnovers. There is not much effort made to accommodate when they loose the instructor. You will be put on a wait list and priority wait list. Neither are you guaranteed continued classes for next level, you keep signing up and waiting to see if you are picked. We have wasted quite a bit of time due to the churn and scheduling process.

Experiencia negativa: The employees are nice, but the infrastructure (hot tubs, steam rooms) is often not available. There's no refund on membership dues when these closures occur; nor are there any notices sent out to alert patrons before they arrive. Do not join and expect to be able to use all the equipment you are shown on the tour on a regular basis.

Experiencia negativa: When COVID started in early spring 2020, I called MC Fitness to cancel my gym membership. The front desk instead asked me to place my account on hold, saying that if by the end of on-hold period I still wanted to cancel, they would. After the six on-hold months ended, they started charging my credit card. I called a couple of times to cancel but they nevertheless kept charging my card. After two months and 100+ bucks being charged to my card (and I never used the gym during the interim, not even once), they finally agreed to cancel. However, they refused to issue a refund. Instead they said I could use the charged amount toward my future membership if I decided to rejoin later. I was sympathetic toward their dire situation resulting from the pandemic, so I agreed. Fast forwarding to January 2023, I wanted to rejoin the gym. Instead of keeping their promise of allowing me to use the $100+ toward my membership I was told they could only offer me $100 in "fit funds." which is useless to me. Reading reviews from other customers, obviously I was not the only person being taken advantage of by this business during the pandemic. It is unethical at all!

Experiencia positiva: Average amount of equipment. Only ONE squat rack and ONE cable machine. Not sure who thought this was a good idea but they are probably the same type of people who never leave the treadmill.

Experiencia negativa: Called to cancel the account due to COVID - was told to place the account on hold for 6 months instead, and if by the end of 6 months I still want to cancel, they would. After the 6 months ended, they started charging me again. I explained that I wanted to cancel and not bridge the account, but they kept ignoring my emails and calls and I had to walk in to cancel. Still didn't allow me to cancel. Their sales rep, Paul was pretty much laughing at me and their billing individual, Barbara didn't want to hear me out. so I had to go to the bank to finally get my charges revoked, the bank did thankfully. Taking advantage of COVID to cheat people's requests is not professional at all! It isn't

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member here for a couple of years. The place is great! Steam room, sauna, and hot tub in the locker room. There is towel service in the locker rooms, at the pools and on the workout floor. All workout class equipment is provided. They even provide yoga mats and blankets. The staff is great, kind and helpful. This is an excellent place to start or continue your fitness journey.

The cardio equipment has touchscreens with entertainment options. The staff is very friendly and they always have workout classes going on. Nice to have a pool too! The locker rooms are very clean and well stocked. Definitely worth it.

They have alot of amenities, everything has been clean and well kept, and even when I was there during a busier time we weren't packed like sardines. Experiencia negativa: Be careful with the swimming program! If you are thinking about starting swim lessons with them, thing again. Their instructors are good, however the scheduling system is a mess! There’s only one person handling schedules and there’s a lot of mistakes. I got canceled with no reason and they can’t re-schedule me. I had experience I went there and found out that our instructor got doubled booked and lost our spot. It was such a mess. Instructor turnover is very high too. If they can get their scheduling system right, I would love this place. It’s very sad the bad customer experience is driving me away. Don’t worth the time and frustration to go through all this.

Experiencia negativa: Life Time Fitness is a better choice (better trainers, equipment, and just as clean) for about the same price. 17 mins to Life Time Fitness Dublin. 19 to mins Life Time Fitness Upper Arlington. If you travel you can visit any Gold Level Life Time Club in the Unitied States. If you want a change there are four different Life Time locations in the Columbus Area. Just one location with Mount Carmel. I had an issue with a trainer which became an issue with the management at Mount Carmel Fitness. The issue could not resolve locally so I had to raise the issue to Trinity Health in Livonia, Michigan before I could get my money back. A fact that you may not know is that the employees of Mount Carmel Fitness are not employees of Mount Carmel/Trinity Health but are employees of Power Wellness Lombard, IL. Trinity Health and Power Wellness code of conduct didn't quite match. A lot more effort then it should have been.

Experiencia negativa: This place promises month to month memberships but per their policy to cancel you must come in personally or the won’t cancel. When I joined they told me no problem you can cancel anytime. Clearly they are trying everything to make extra money including continually charging people even if they call to cancel. The gym is not a gym anyways it’s more like a hospital gym that people go to after surgery. It smells like a hospital too. Equipment is very limited..avoid at all costs. Only thing good was the lockeroom.

Experiencia negativa: I visited this facility for X-ray and they charged me over $225 for just two x-rays. After paying this high price, still I got invoice from Radiology Inc. When I call they says that you paid only for taking x-ray, and this charges are for reading x-rays. This is completely nonsense as they never told me there will be additional charges. By the way I already paid to my Dr. for Reading X-ray. So I am paying twice unnecessary. Very disappointed. Please shop around before visiting this facility.

Experiencia positiva: They do good things for the community (pretty much just free events with food, massages, and access to the gym). It’s up-to-date, with a decent facility. They also give away free passes. Locker rooms are clean with amenities like a sauna, showers with soap and towels, hair spray, shaving cream, hand lotion, a scale, and you don’t need to bring a lock. They even have a lounge and air sports. Cardio equipment is pretty good. They could have more strength equipment though. I’d say 70% of people are older and come here just to get in shape. Haven’t used the pool, but it looks spacious with lanes. I do wish they would start to add an indoor basketball court with the semi-high membership fees. They could take my money then. 100% better than LA Fitness.
