Experiencia fantástica: This is the best gym/fitness center in the League City area. I know friends who come from the other side of Clear Lake simply to enjoy the experience at The Fitness Center. This is the only fitness location I have found (and I’ve tried a lot) that meet all my requirements. The facility itself is clean and so well-maintained. Definitely “fancier” than most workout spots around. The amenities are endless- I haven’t even taken advantage of them all! My favorite would be the wet sauna and dry sauna which are hard to find. I utilize the drop in childcare and my children love it! The childcare staff are phenomenal and go above and beyond to make sure my kids feel comfortable and are cared for. My toddlers had a hard time being left with others and this has become a second home for them. The people and vibe are so kind and welcoming. There is 0 intimidation or uncomfortable situations which can sometimes stop people (women specifically) from joining a gym/fitness center. The monthly rate is extremely affordable for all that The Fitness Center is offering. I highly recommend The Fitness Center at South Shore Harbour for anyone looking to find the perfect fitness location in the League City, Kemah, Seabrook area and more!

Our daughter takes tennis lessons from Roger and he’s great. I get personal trading from John and I’m having a great time. It’s comfortable and clean, the people are friendly and helpful, they’ve got activities for your kids and adults, and they’ve even got a spa. My only complaint is that I want them to build a climbing wall!

TFC has managed to avoid that and preserve what truly matters- getting better and people minding their business.

Experiencia fantástica: Outstanding gym. Great variety of high quality equipment. Machines, kettle bells, free weights, Olympic lifting, pools, tennis, basketball, sauna, steamroom, and more. My kids also love the child care. They watch them for 2 hours a day. Lot of activities for them to do. We love this gym!!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place. It’s huge, largest variety of equipment I have seen at a fitness center. The machines are well taken care of, the place is always clean, everything works, and the staff is attentive and friendly. They even have two Jacobs ladders which In my opinion are the best equipment for overall fitness available. Daycare staff is also great and the hours are really good throughout the week and even during the weekend. I have brought my 3 year old and he always has a great time while I’m working out. The price of the memberships and week passes are very affordable and worth it for what you get. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

Experiencia fantástica: The Fitness Center is a nice gym and has nice employees. Always clean, and the pools are normally a perfect temperature (if the heater isn't broken). As for the "point system" it does not work, I've asked the employees several times and they say they'll look into it but that's as far as it goes. I've been stuck at 600 for months and they refuse to give me the points they know they owe me.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been a member for 3 years and have loved my experience. However, the past 6-7 months have been a nightmare. This gym is becoming increasingly overcrowded to the point that even at non-peak times I’m lucky to find an empty piece of equipment. I’ve tried changing my workout times (5am, 2pm, 7pm) with no luck. The gym is simply over capacity making it near impossible to actually get a workout in. Furthermore, many members have gotten into a bad habit of taking up multiple pieces of equipment at once, leaving towels and water bottles at various machines and weight benches so they can do circuit workouts, while the rest of us are left to share what’s left. It’s disrespectful and the gym needs to reinforce the one equipment at a time policy that it has (there a signs posted around the space stating so). I’ll be cancelling my membership and looking for a new place.

Experiencia fantástica: Love, love, love this "gym!" It is more like a health and wellness club than a gym. Clean, well-maintained and up-to-date facilities and equipment. LOTS of amenities like, towels, ice and water machines, bistro, kick-a$$ group exercise classes, second-to-none, on-sight childcare. The thing I enjoy the most when I visit TFC is the energy of the people, staff and members. I have been to gyms where it felt very much like highschool and a meat market all in one, I felt gross each time Ieft. TFC's staff and other members are helpful and friendly; there is a palpable sense of community. You definitely get what you pay for.

Experiencia fantástica: As a member here, I visit in the evenings to use the weight equipment. All the equipment is very well maintained. Cables and the padding are in great condition. The free weights section has plenty of dumbbells to go around. There's also 3 benches and 2 adjustable benches for presses. They also have a Smith machine and 2 squat stations in the lower level.

Experiencia fantástica: If I could give 6 stars I would. Really don’t have a much to complain about here. Every once in awhile the steam room or sauna may be temporarily out of service which is something I look forward to each visit, but they seem to have it back it service very soon. Also they always have one or the other available if not both. The cardio room is large and overlooks the marina which I find to be very motivating. It’s a cardio room you actually want to be at. Wait, what?!?! But alas it is true. The vibe at the Fitness Center feels more like a country club than a gym. With that being said, no one come here! I want it all to myself!!

Experiencia fantástica: This club offers amazing classes taught throughout the day, kind staff members, a clean child care facility, tasty menu items in the bistro, wonderful member appreciation events, a chiropractic clinic, and a delightful spa. The club is situated along the South Shore Harbour Marina. You simply cannot find a better health club than this!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a member for a few months now and I’ve never loved going to any gym more than I do now. My favorite features are the indoor/outdoor track and bootcamp class. Corynne is the best instructor! The childcare is great too and the view is beautiful from the cardio area. I absolutely love this place!

Experiencia negativa: Well I've been going here for years. Just recently they decided to bombard the basketball courts with pickle ball. Employees were extremely rude about the situation. They are basketball courts not pickle ball courts. Most the week is filled with pickle ball including Friday nights 6-10pm. The best part is no one was even there for pickle ball. When I arrived I kindly asked if I could play basketball considering that they have many goals to play on, but I was rudely rejected. When there was zero people on the court for pickle ball such a waste of good court space. They have tennis courts two sets of two courts for tennis that they could use for there pickle ball considering it’s relatively to the sport of pickle ball! I hope they can get it together because that is kinda a waste of money to say you have basketball courts, and there is not even a way to play on them

Apparently the gym is reserved for pickleball half of the time so if you play basketball dont get a membership. Even if there is no one playing pickleball they will not let us play. The manager was very rude about it also.
