I like how this gym stays open late til 12am , $25 is a bit much for a 1day pass but it covered all I needed , there is also a 5 day pass and monthly membership

Experiencia fantástica: Always come here when Im in town for a couple of days with their 5 day passes. Nice environment, and really nice people. Really dig the powerlifting and old school gym vibes with majority metal weights. There are also bumper plates available for those who prefer as well for olympic lifting.

Experiencia fantástica: If you're thinking of getting some high quality gym apparel, Barbell Brigade offers some of the best quality material items out there. I decided to get one of their mystery boxes and I was pleasantly surprised with all the items that were included. Everything in it was something I would get myself. Sizes do run a bit on the larger side, but that's just additional motivation to fit in them. Also special shoutout to the customer support team for addressing my shipping issue in such a timely and receptive manner. Incredibly professional all throughout.

Experiencia fantástica: Cool gym for the serious powerlifter. Very well kept with friendly and knowledgeable staff. No AC, but the fans keep the air circulation going and you don't notice it much when you start lifting. Worth checking out if you get the chance.

Experiencia fantástica: The best place I have ever been for strength training, powerlifting or wieghtlifting, with all the possible accessories, a really respectful and welcoming atmosphere from the customers and from the personnel. Everything was clean and tidy. Trained there for 5 days as we were visiting LA, and was one of the best things from LA. I wish we had something similar in Barcelona. Thank you so much!

Experiencia positiva: helpful / friendly staff, lots of deadlift platforms, squat racks, and benches, expensive @ $100 / mo minus 1 star for the music. it’s so loud that, even with noise canceling headphones it’s not possible to listen to your own music, which is extra frustrating because the music they play is usually cringe. it’s also loud enough to trigger apple watch noise level notifications, indicating that it’s at 80+ dB, which is high enough to contribute to long-term hearing damage

Experiencia fantástica: Heaven is a place on earth and it is called Barbell Brigade. The staff is amazing. As soon as I walked in the door, everyone in the front desk area was talking to me as though we had known each other for awhile. Super friendly. The gym has everything you need to get strong as an ox. Specialty bars, oly platforms, deadlift platforms, multiple power racks and EliteFTS competition benches. You've also got a bunch of strong man and bodybuilding equipment in there too. You can put on any music you want and pretty much go ape. I was in Hawthorne for two days and caught an Uber out to BB twice. It rules. Best gym I've ever been to.

Experiencia positiva: Can we just please update/replace the broken equipment!!!! Last week another bench went "out of service", two benches are also broken that won't allow them to be repositioned, one is missing the little lever head to adjust the position. The yoga mats!! The rower has been broken since we joined almost 3 months ago. The air bike, went MIA last week as well so now it's just the treadmill that works and even that one is asking for maintenance.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome gym. Instructors are attentive, accommodating, and uplifting. Gym is clean and well equipped. Everyone is friendly and super motivating with no egos and no pressure. Great for beginners and more advanced athletes alike.

Everyone was very friendly which made it easy to feel comfortable, they also provided a tour, offered assistance or to rotate music should it help with your lift. I look forward to being back in the LA area again as this gym is a MUST. Couldn't resist the nice apparel they have up front as well. I have nothing but good things to say and encourage all to check it out.

Mike was awesome and gave me a tour of the facility and made sure I knew what was what. Had a great workout and everyone was super cool. Next time I’m in town I’m 100% coming back.

The machines are well kept and the outside section is one of my favorites. Also you don't have to wait for a squat rack because there are so many there!! By far one of my favorite gyms

Experiencia positiva: Awesome atmosphere but relatively subpar everything else. After having visited South Bay, exceed, and now going to Mission Fitness Center, I have to say what you get at BB for $100 is pretty overpriced.I get it’s the closest to down town but it’s still not in an amazing location to justify the cost. Only 2 dedicated deadlifting platforms, and 3 benches is ridiculous for a gym this expensive. Very limited amount of kilos as well. There really isn’t that many free standing benches either to move around and use in the cages, and almost all the benches (including the actual powerlifting benches) and machines have super ripped, taped up fabric/leather. Very limited selection of machines for a powerlifting gym. And I get the “we’re a powerlifting gym we don’t have cardio machines” but having some to warm up on (like most powerlifting gyms) before squats or deadlifts would be nice. Especially given the lack of any temperature control in the building and how the garage door in the back remains fully open on cold nights. Love BB as a company, love the owners since watching the YouTube is what got me into lifting years ago but was pretty underwhelmed with this gym. It has not kept up with the rest of the powerlifting gyms in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: Best workout I've had during corona. This place is great for lifting, they have everything you need. The ambience is relaxed and enough space for social distancing and they have and outer space. Even though I might only do 3 or 4 times a month due to corona it still a great place for workout for a great price.

Experiencia fantástica: Location is a little difficult to get to if you don't drive, but a plethora of equipment and a relatively quiet Sunday afternoon crowd make for a great place to go get a pump. Lots of nice people and a really enjoyable environment to master the barbell.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place. Friendly staff, professional, and allows you to get in and out. No one bothers you and everyone pretty much does their own thing. I'm in town visiting and was able to go online and reserve a space. I purchased a five day guest pass. Whenever I am in town again, I would definitely go back here. Opens at 5 a.m. and closes at 12 a.m. whatever your schedule it can accommodate. Only thing to know is that it is currently reservation only. So you must go online and book a time slot. They book up fast so you would want to be proactive for the days and times you want.

Experiencia negativa: Went to ask for gym membership price ($$$EXTREMELY OVER PRICED$$$). They took me on a tour of the gym. It was basic and Olympic standard equipment set up you can find anywhere else in the country. Spacious enough to move comfortably, but looked like an out dated storage room or some old warehouse. They were asking to pay New York elite gym style membership you find in uptown, SOHO, Manhattan, etc. These fools are crazy .

Experiencia fantástica: I was in town for a couple weeks on leave and was looking for a gym to go to in order to keep up with training. Found out about Barbell Brigade from a quick Google search, discovered that they offered a 5-session stamp card for $50 (so $10 per session), and I gave it a go. Definitely one of the better decisions I've made during my time back home; few, if any, other gyms offer day passes like this and I was always greeted by very friendly staff whether I went in at 5 a.m., 9 p.m. or any time in between. They also have and encourage chalk use which is a huge plus for me since many gyms don't allow it because of the mess it makes. Still, the facility was kept clean and I was overall very impressed and enjoyed my time there. Barbell Brigade will most likely be my go-to gym any time I'm back in LA! They also have a sweet apparel line for anyone who's into that kind of stuff.

Experiencia fantástica: Great spacious gym with tons of equipment for functional training, weightlifting and powerlifting. For the weightlifting crowd, this gym has dedicated platforms with bars and plates in kilos which is really nice and rare in most US gyms in this genre. They have some of the really cool accessory machines like a belt squat and a reverse hyper. During mid-day it was not too crowded either. I was there on one of the hotter days of summer and it was pretty hot inside the gym but they have a couple of big fans that you can walk over too between sets.

Experiencia negativa: This gym has completely changed. It when from being a cool place to train and chill with the old staff to a gym where everyone, including the new staff, have a huge ego. I feel like the gym no longer has that homie vibe. Also I used to tolerate the prices because of the old staff but now it’s not worth it at all. Why would I pay triple the amount of a commercial gym when it doesn’t have nearly the same amount of equipment and has the same feel as a commercial gym.
