Experiencia fantástica: So who has the best trainer in the world? I do! I’ve used trainers in the past but by far Dan is the best so far. I joined Crunch May 2024. I discovered I’m a stress eater and it showed. I instantly liked Dan when I met him and am so grateful for everything he’s done for me. The man is a saint considering how well he puts up with all my whining and complaining. I know I’m not the easiest client Anyway, fast forward to today and my little victory. I have a pair of jeans that I haven’t been able to fit into in a very long time. This morning I decided to try. Really wasn’t expecting anything but they fit! No muffin top or anything. I’ve dropped from a size 10 to a size 6 in jeans. Definitely a win in my book and I’m sure proud of myself. I definitely couldn’t have gotten to this point without him. I would have given up a long time ago. He kept pushing me and I’m so glad he did. If you are looking for a trainer Dan is your man. I recommend him. Crunch you need to give this man a raise he’s definitely worth every penny!

I was working in Sacramento and that crew was terrible and had no interest in helping me in any capacity. The club in Sacramento had me call the Bakersfield location to retrieve my serial code to check in. Cheryl was very helpful throughout the process. I can't thank her enough.

Experiencia negativa: Regularly takes weeks to fix damaged equipment, water filter will be left on red for up to two weeks, they have 100 bikes nobody uses and only one of each bench. All equipment is poorly maintained

I really hope the owner of This Crunch fitness fires the General manager as he is just making him lose money and a liability to him as he will be the cause of a law suit as he has been processing payments fraudulently with out authorization of the members.

Experiencia negativa: Manager is either incompetent or a scammer, he won’t be liable for his mistakes and you end up paying the price. Make sure everything he says you have is in paper. Had a few instances where what was discussed was not the case on the contract.

Experiencia positiva: Every staff member I've talked to has been easy going and nice. I once dropped my earbuds case into a machine and they retrieved it for me despite the difficulty involved. In the 19 months I've been there, the machines have consistently worked and I've had no problems in the showers. I just wish they were open earlier on weekends so I could go early in the morning, and that they didn't lock me into a twelve month contract.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been in the gym for as long as I can remember and I have never found a gym as amazing as this one I refuse to leave because of the environment and staff Lauren and Buford are my absolute favorite staff workers to see they always acknowledge me and my kiddos definitely star employees here at crunch and feel they need more recognition forsure ‘ we love our crunch fam ! Seeing them is the best way to start our mornings !

Experiencia fantástica: Maintenance guy is so cool with everyone, seems like he's the only one who takes the time to talk with you and notice you. Yes you get greeted at the door, and gym itself is clean and has lots of variety. Dope gym! Myself, I like the getting ignored part. Lets you workout in peace with the occasional fist bump from the maintenance guy. Give it a shot.

Experiencia fantástica: I initially gave a bad review but it was literally based on the former management and their inability to do things the right way but general manager Trey has remedied the situation and I think he's doing a really good job with the staff he has now because they're a lot more kinder... Crunch is a good place but it's just not for me..Thank you Trey for being understanding and getting the job done..

Experiencia negativa: Gym is alright for the price. Clean, organized, and good equipment. Maintenance guy is a very friendly human being. Although staff members is just horrible, need to get retrain on good customer service skills. The environment doesn’t make you feel welcome. I’m the type of person who doesn’t care on spending the money as longest its worth it. On the other hand, group classes are always getting canceled which is so annoying. Yet, now that many gyms have reopen I rather go spend my money elsewhere. Good luck getting smiles after signing for the membership.

I'm always worried about the payment stuff because all of the negative feedback but usually those kinds of complaints come from whiney people with zero self accountability. I suppose I'll find out for myself.

Experiencia negativa: This location is poorly managed a while ago I signed up and I was signing the regular paperwork. I stoped going I wanted to cancel they said okay we'll cancel and months later I figure out I'm still being charged. They got me for "late" fees I told them I wanted to cancel again they said okay AGAIN but this time multiple members said it and confirmed it by walking in instead of calling they said they would take care of it again months later I'm still being charged now they said I had a yearly contract with them I had no idea about. so instead of cancelling it then and there for more money I figured it would cost less to wait it out I only had a month left. A month passes by and I just called, I'm still a member they're still charging me I'm they just charged me again for late fees 70+ dollars now I have to wait till tomorrow to speak with a manager who doesn't work apparently. After I ask if I could talk to corporate they said they were corporate and they handle everything. I hope this company closes this location due to these thieves

Experiencia negativa: Sweet and nice on sign up, but once you are signed up they are rude and un-attentive. Upon sign up wasn't informed it was a contract. I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: The manager did not honor the agreed upon $10 per month membership (with Bryce, an associate team member on staff) with no start-up fee, no annual fee, and no cancelation fees (if I relocate to an area with there is no Crunch Fitness Center within 25-mile radius).

Experiencia negativa: i had a membership for about a year (also got my wife a membership and payed for personal trainer classes 3 times a week for over 50% of the year ) this place started amazing but then it seemed to get worse and worse ... no1 cleaning equipment and nothing done when you tell the staff i have actually never seen the staff leave the front desk for more then a few minuets ( if i where to give advice about this place i would say look around for about 30min on your first free day and see if people are cleaning and also touch different equipment to see if want this quality for your money ) i changed gyms and i do pay more but honest i dont have to clean others sweat from equipment in-between using it so its worth it for me

Experiencia negativa: The equipment and gym are brand new. The gym is cleaned every night. The employees were ok when I was there. They weren't rude, etc. They just try to up sell everything at an overpriced amount , etc, but thats normal for a business. The employees are just trying to meet their quota, make money, etc, so I get it. I signed up for a 1 year membership paid cash upfront for it, but my card was on file. They were supposed to bill the card after the prepaid membership was up. I went twice, and then covid happened. My membership was canceled without my consent. I spoke to a few different employees about this, and I was told I have to repay the sign up fees, etc. Nobody offered to fix the problem without charging me new sign up fees. Why didn't they bill my card call me etc?

Experiencia negativa: Tried canceling my memberships since October 2020. Money is still coming out of my bank account regardless of my calls and emails. They owe me $60.00 at least. Nobody responds to my requests. Nice staff but horrible management! Think twice before you give them your bank info as they squander money from you. Join planet fitness instead.

Definitely will never go anywhere else :) great music ,great environment, the equipment, massage beds and tanning beds are all in good condition, bathrooms are super clean,the gym itself is clean, and they have great prices for what they offer! I also love that you can sign up on a month to month basis with no contracts. If you're looking to be in a good environment for your workout journey I highly reccomend this gym. One thing I hop they add in the future is a pool!

Experiencia negativa: Tried cancelling my membership, yet the manager, Dan, who told me to come in was too busy to talk with me and never returned my phone call. Tried working with the billing department online, but still continue to get charged for a membership I have not used in close to a year. Very unprofessional and will continue to charge you even when you asked for your membership to be cancelled / put on hold. Charge an additional $60 a year for a maintenance fee even when you’re on a month to month agreement.

Experiencia negativa: The gym itself is nice, and not usually crowded. The issue I take I take is how they do business. I signed up in between moving houses, so I needed a gym for a couple months at most. After two months I had found a house, so I went into the club to cancel my membership. Upon speaking to the employee on the floor, he informed me that there are no managers available during the weekend - only that they are available during business days, which was extremely inconvenient for me at the time. The employee gives me an email address where I can cancel my membership. I email the address and get a response back, I can't cancel within ten days of renewing. OK, I don't take issue with that since that's just how contracts go. I requested to be taken off the premium plan, and to be put on the standard $10 plan which the employee that signed me up for told me I could "at any time." So the final installment comes around, and not only is it the premium charge of $34.95 (for a month I didn't even use), they've also charged me $49 which I assume is the annual fee (again I used the gym for 2 months) - but no one will call or email me back to tell me what it is. It's disappointing to be treated this way from a gym I otherwise had a good experience with.

They have all new state of the art weight equipment. This place is clean & really kept up. The membership for this gym are really reasonable, compared to other gyms in Bakersfield. The staff here is awesome & caring for your needs!

Could’ve atleast told me to hold on. So unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I joined in March and I loved it. However back in September the classes for the people at 5am are non existent. I am disappointed because I loved the classes. It is hard to work out on your own without guidance. I cannot afford a personal trainer. I know that a Planet Fitness is opening up around the corner from me so we will see what they offer for people like me . Hmmmm

Experiencia positiva: They'll work with you on signup fees and they have a clean facility that isnt too busy. Tanning beds, water massage and a cool 360 degree body measurement thing so you know when you're losing fat, even if you gain muscle weight.

Experiencia positiva: Its nice and clean they have a good amount of equipment to work out and classes look like they work you out i usually run for 30 mins and do some weights I only have a month it's nice I like it
