There are discounts for medical workers and veterans too! Love the classes although would love to have more class options in the evenings and Saturday mornings.

The pool is amazing for those who enjoy the water. All the equipment is kept clean (do your part too), great working condition for everyone’s use. Experiencia negativa: Staff was kind of rude, they made us wait while they finished their conversation a good 2 min which made it awkward. Toddler areas is very small not much to do, and male life guard with long hair and glasses was very mean to my son. My son didn’t realize the slide area was only for sliders, you can advise ppl how to be safe without being rude about it

Experiencia negativa: Called and asked if I could get a day pass to use the pool for my kiddo, I had a conversation with the lady at the front desk and they said yes if we get a day pass we can yes use the pool. I drove all the way there and they said the pool was only open recreational from 12-1, even though it would be $32 for just me and my son. They could've told me that when I called.

Experiencia positiva: The facilities are usually clean but some of the staff don't seem to care if you're there or not. My grandkids take swim lessons and play in the basketball league and live it here. I've filled out a paper 4 TIMES for someone to call me regarding the exercise facilities and getting a personal trainer. NOT ONE TIME has anyone called me. I have a membership but haven't used it yet because I'm waiting for someone to call me.

Experiencia positiva: Pool and equipment are awesome....but the pool is only open about 1/2 the time the club is open...and a big portion of the time it's out of service or occupied by a class are during peak hours (9-6). They have 2 pools but do not allow both to be utilized, even if one is being used for a class. The staff is awesome, the equipment is state of the art, the sauna/whirlpool A1....but I go there to swim ...frustrated when I only get to about half of my visits....*extra point for the lifeguard that periodically opens the pool during "closed hours"for me. That I REALLY APPRECIATE.

Experiencia positiva: Great access to the equipment & great self led classes but most of the staff are not the “best..” I feel like they’re just “there..” but not “there…” if that makes sense. & some of the younger-ish staff that checks in kids for kids night out should Not be working there. If you don’t Like kids or Want to be around them tell your boss so they don’t Place you in charge in any kind of way. My last experience almost made me not want to leave my child there.

Deb and Linda have made great progress with them making our summer at the lake and pool much safer and more enjoyable!!

Experiencia negativa: Very convenient since I live near however ALL employees need to be retrained because I get a different answer every time I speak with someone. I also got charged when my account was paused... 1 of many issues I've experienced with this particular location unfortunately

Experiencia negativa: Came for a 1 day pass to check the place out. Called ahead of time to check childcare hours. Lady on the phone says till 8 pm. Get there at 6 pm and they closed at 4 pm. Call center needs to get it together. Drove 30 minutes for nothing. Just going to stick with the Martinsville Y.

Experiencia fantástica: My kids and I love this place. Always clean and welcoming for everything - basketball, gym, swimming pool, classes, early learning for the kids while you work out has been the biggest hit.

Experiencia positiva: Nice staff.. just wish the play & learn center was open during the afternoon hours (yes I'm aware almost all Indy locations are the same way). Although there are other locations I prefer over this one, it is still a very pleasant atmosphere.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my home YMCA and man, am I glad it is! This facility is sparkling clean, up to date, and has wonderful amenities! The pool is always warm for lap swimming and the staff for classes are wonderful. Highly recommend becoming a part of the Y if you haven’t already—definitely worth it!

Experiencia negativa: Awful! If you want to waste your money you should get a membership here. We have been members for around three months and there has been a different issue every week. Don’t bother telling anyone though because they definitely aren’t going to do anything.

Experiencia positiva: Family physician works here and my family’s been going here for obituary 10 years. The Y is right below my docs office which is convenient. The Hendricks network is nice with a plethora of doctors to choose from. Also has a user friendly online patient platform.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to the Hendricks Regional Health YMCA for a doctor appointment follow up. The location is very convenient to anyone in the Avon area. It's very clean and they have a lab right on site so if you need to get bloodwork done you just do downstairs. My NP is Christine Kelley and she is amazing!!! She listens, has a great personality, really cares about how I'm doing and spent plenty of time with me. Love having such a great NP so close to home and who understands my health concerns and needs.

Experiencia fantástica: At first I was hesitant about coming here and leaving my boys in the kid areas (one in the little kid area and one in the bigger kid area) since they’ve never been away from me. But those fears disappeared as quickly as they came on. My two children and I come here 5-6 days a week and they absolutely love it. First thing out of their mouths every morning “Is today a Y day?” The workers are so kind and have so much fun with the kids. I often check on the kids while I’m working out and they’re having so much fun, not only with other children but the workers. (Today, Sara was playing basketball with the kids and you can tell she’s having just as much fun as them) All of the workers seem incredible and caring. They really get to bond with the kids and know all/most of the kids by name. Great place to coke as a family. 10/10 recommend

Experiencia negativa: I've been to Y's all over the country and this is one of my favorite locations. The reason I'm only giving two stars is because they don't require members to use headphones in the weight room. Can get very loud and chaotic with multiple members using speakers. They also allow people to film with is intrusive and distracting. I've been to other locations that allow neither.

Experiencia negativa: With regard to the staff and the other doctors at this office, you will not likely meet a more kind and dedicated group of individuals. The service desk and staff are unbelievable nice and uphold the highest standards of patient care. Unfortunately, concerning Dr. Harding, I cannot say the same. From rescheduled appointments to missing script refills to an overall lack of concern for patient care, I have never been more disappointed in a health care provider. I have no doubt that his is busy and appointment openings may not be plentiful, however, I have NEVER had so many hoops to jump through in order to maintain my own health. I absolutely understand that things can be complex and I would consider myself patient and understanding, however, the lack of concern and blatant disrespect I have faced communicating with this doctor is absolutely unacceptable. If you are a new patient, I truly would recommend looking elsewhere.

Experiencia positiva: Updated flooring and paint. New layout makes it feel cramped. Have been there and all equipment is being used. Raised prices but don't see any improvements. Also been on waiting list for swim lessons for months.

Experiencia positiva: I recently moved to Avon area and i really miss my old gym.. anywho i like the classes but the instructors are not energetic nor motivational. Also it bothers me that they don’t have a place for all the kids in same space i have to leave my baby and my 4 year old in one place then walk all the way to the back of the gym to leave my 6 year old. Besides that i do like the child drop off center. And what i really do hate and it’s sooooo disgusting is how the locker rooms have carpet.. it really stinks in there all that moist inside it. It really is nasty they should definitely change to all floor or marble idk

Experiencia negativa: BIG DISAPPOINTMENT I am just very disappointed with the facility, even with a free guest pass. Seems that most of the cardio equipment has signs posted stating that the equipment is broken or that it is being replaced. Per conversation with members, it's been this way for the last five months. The "Y" did at one time provide complimentary towels (shower/facial) but no longer since reopening from COVID; they can save money not providing. Also, even though the gym is open from 05:15am - 9pm, the lap pool, adult jacuzzi, and Sauna have limited hours; 8am-1pm & 4pm-8pm. OMG, they state it's due to no lifeguard but still have posted on a large signs "NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY" ... crazy, never thought I would ever drown in my own sweat in passing, we heard someone requesting to cancel family membership cause the pool area (+jacuzzi & sauna) have been closed for the last 3 mths. I actually wanted to join based on using the pool and the sauna despite the pricey membership or the extra cost to drive into Avon ... not happening now, and in fact, I'm not even interested in using the additional time on the guest membership. UPDATE : 02.01.2024 An amazing facility, however, the Sauna must remain open as long as the gym is open. The age requirements state 18yrs old, therefore since responsible adults are only allowed, then adults are able to manage the ability to utilize this valuable asset anytime the YMCA is open. I do see the value if having down time to clean and sanitize the sauna but it should be designated once or twice and not seven days between 1pm-4pm... which during those current designated times, the sauna is not cleaned nor sanitized. So again, keep the sauna open unless it is truly being cleaned and sanitized.

Experiencia fantástica: I really love rhe water safety part of the aquatic program. They put the kids in a phone boat and then they will turn it over and help the kids understand how to keep their head above water. That alone could save their life one day.

I have been doing Water Aerobics (evenings and Saturdays) for a year now and that has helped me lose 60 lbs and take my A1C from 7.6 to 5.7LOVE the water aerobics instructors so much! They can never quit :)Have also done cardio kickboxing and zumba. Enjoy them both as well.
