Experiencia negativa: Short notice wen pool is closed. only reason I signed up is for the pool. it's helps with my back and stiff muscles .the recreational pool is always closed . Sometimes the staff are very rude. wen it comes to asking questions.

Experiencia negativa: How old do you have to be to be in the GYM? An elderly man came in today with a full blown picnic and let his CHILDREN run around the weights room! I got hit twice by these kids! Why on earth was no one saying anything? This is not what the gym is for. It’s not jungle gym time. It’s for serious adults to come and workout and meet their fitness goals. Shouldn’t have to worry about tripping over a medicine ball or getting run into by wild kids. No ill will on you guys, but…Please don’t allow this to continue to happen!!! It’s in fact dangerous! For both the kids and the adults trying to work out! *by the way you won’t find me in the directory, this complaint is made anonymously.

Experiencia fantástica: French Creek is a wonderful YMCA for kids. My son has done group and private swimming lessons, and he’s son science, sports, and art camps. His favorite was whichever camp he was in. Wonderful program, great values, staff, communication, and fun!

Experiencia fantástica: We are first-timers of the YMCA specialty camp and absolutely LOVE it. We've done the traditional camp in previous years. My kids love the Play with Purpose objectives and are incredibly excited when they receive ribbons. They are having fun and learning too, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a summer camp program. 10/10 would recommend this program to anyone with school-aged children. My kids are already asking if they can come back to Science Camp next year. Bravo YMCA!!

Experiencia positiva: We've been members for over a year now. The child watch is wonderful. My little one loves Miss Aubrey, Miss Amira and Miss Faten. My issues are the lack of updated equipment. There are ripped pads on machines, missing rubber guards for the foot rest on the hip ab/adduct machine. I'm just one person, but in my opinion, it's seems like they could get rid of a few treadmills and stationary bikes to make room for other machines most other gyms have. Otherwise, the staff is always incredibly friendly, the facility is clean, and it's a very welcoming environment.

Her upbeat personality and encouragement is infectious!!! Even after an exhausting day at work, completing the class lifts my spirits, makes my body feel good, and leaves me looking forward to coming back.

Experiencia negativa: Place is S-hole in Avon . Hot tub broke down majority of the time , pools always close either this is wrong or some dumb kids birthday party . Have party’s after hours . For the price I’ll pass it went up twice this year now they want 61 month yeah I’d rather pass on this over priced S-hole

Experiencia fantástica: Fitness after 50 is the very best class. I love the variety of equipment and how easy it is to schedule with a personal trainer and take advantage of their expertise. Do wish they had more deep water workouts for adults, and maybe a stroke clinic so I could use the pool more.

Experiencia fantástica: There is a wide range of classes available. I am particularly interested in those for seniors. The facility is very clean and attractive. The location is convenient, and there is plenty of parking available. The atmosphere is very casual and welcoming. I use the treadmills, and there are always lots available, as well as a walking track. It is nice to have these things available year round, but particularly in the winter months. Thank you.

The goals to earn the ribbons too have been great lessons and teachings for my 3 as well. I appreciate this type of environment for my kids so I can work and know they are safe, cared for and in a positive learning environment. Kudos to Hannah and all her counselors!

Experiencia fantástica: We had a birthday party for 2 if my granddaughters today. This was well organized! The workers were kind, the lifeguards were spectacular and the kids had a blast! The party space consisted if 2 rooms. One for food/crafts and the other had all kinds of fun stuff (VR, Switch/video games, Foosball, Air Hockey, board games, etc.) Both rooms were spacious! The kids got swim time and then gym time. The gym was large and split in half. One side had scooters, basketball, balls, hula hoops, etc. On the other side they put up a HUGE inflatable obstacle course. Just amazing!

Experiencia fantástica: The facility is beautiful and always super clean. I love the group workout classes. The instructors are welcoming and always pushing me to give my best effort. I love the sense of community that I'm buildings with my fellow gym members. I love the availability of the play center for young children and can definitely see our children being active Y members as they grow older with swim lessons and basketball.

Experiencia positiva: I like the ymca but they hardly have open gym they do sometimes but not alot I think they should make certain days for open gym and no pickle ball or junior cavs. people pay for a membership to play basketball too but the time needs to be promised not all of a sudden change people can't waste there gas just because they say oh no no open courts when they said there were. I'd suggest certain days open gym besides that I love it but they need to fix the time schedule.

Our now 6 grader went to Preschool/Pre K there and my husband coached my now 22 year old daughter Junior Cavs team and my 11 year old.The YMCA has a huge positive impact on my family improving our healthy while having fun family time swimming, playing basketball, or doing an exercise class together!

Experiencia negativa: They banned me for going out the side door I wouldn’t even give this place a one star completely ruined my experience at this gym for life I’m now unbanned but they outta find something better to do then to ban people who need to work out I went the back surgery and it’s the doctors orders I workout so I told them this and they said yeah you’ll have to wait till your unban and we will call cops on you if you go to workout they really gotta find better things to with their time then pick on disabled people

Experiencia negativa: Their website always says open courts and every time I go they have a sign on the door saying courts closed for pickle ball sorry for inconvenience. Update your website so people don't drive 30 mins to come play basketball when it says open courts! This has happened multiple times.

Experiencia negativa: the place is ok but i'm talking about the summer camp. the summer camp sucked like i went there and the camp counculers were rude like they yelled all the time. like when someone was talking she just yelled at the whole group and her co counculer didn't try to stop her. and also it got split up into 4 groups because it was so big and group 1 and 2 watched a movie. while group 3 and 4 had to journal and we can't write whatever we want we had to do a prompt and i was near kids who were doing bad things and i got in trouble with them. and i would give this 4 stars if it didn't have such a bad summer camp

Experiencia positiva: This gym/pool has terrible schedules. Would never recommend this facility for swimming. The pool is mostly reserved for school practice teams. It’s either closed or very limited time slots, or used by the schools. What’s the point of having a pool if it isn’t open for the public? Very expensive for a family to join if they can never use the facility to its fullest. We cancelled our membership.

Experiencia negativa: There’s definitely better gyms then this. It’s extremely dirty, outdated equipment, and some doesn’t even work or the cable machines plates are sticking??? The pool hasn’t been open to use because there’s a practice every single minute. They don’t have a lot of equipment too there’s so much missing that’s standard for other gyms. Too expensive for the quality it doesn’t possess. I only come here for the daycare so my husband can work out with me , and the classes for my children to learn swimming . But other then that I would cancel in a minute and go back to my other gym . I really miss it

Experiencia fantástica: Management was engaged with members and staff during our visit. We enjoyed conversations with instructors Laura and Doug, both patient and knowledgeable. The Active Older adult program has many choices for varied skill levels. Pickle ball and water/aqua areas appeared to be actively engaged with members. We noticed several cleaning stations and staff sanitizing on a regular basis.

Experiencia fantástica: I started coming to the YMCA a few months ago and it's my absolute favorite gym by far. The staff is so nice and helpful, the child watch room is so great and they are so good with my kids. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone! It's so very clean inside, everytime I'm working out there is a staff member cleaning! It's also nice to be able to to the suana after my workouts. And for anyone who loves group classes they have those also!! Seriously I definitely recommend giving this gym a try!

Experiencia fantástica: The Y does have some missing information in the consistency. Don’t seem that all staff are on Same page. I will say normally equipment has been up and running well also. Since the lifting of all the pandemic protocols- (which they had a year to work on and get ready, many of the machines we’re down. overall the staff is friendly and accommodating. Let’s work on management trickle down to staff. (Or maybe upper management to management) Clean and good to go for families.

Experiencia positiva: Been hooping here for 3 years but ever since recently the courts have been really dusty. Also you can’t bring guests in with a membership at this ymca but you can at the westlake ymca which don’t make sense. Also, I think I should be aloud to take my shirt off when I hoop because it gets very hot and humid especially in the summer.

Experiencia negativa: Lovely facility. Most employees there are really nice. I give only 2 star review because... I got a membership there so I could swim a 6:30 am during the week. Its the only time I am available. The first few weeks weren't to bad. But then the availability to swim got slimmer by the day. I got the excuse because of staffing. Why don't they hire personal then? I've heard it's not the nicest place to work for. Maybe if they changed their ways and pay and treat staff accordingly, they might have more clientele and happier clientele. I'm mot happy about them making a schedule to be able to swim and you drive there and the pool is closed. If you call ahead they don't answer. :(

Experiencia negativa: We have been members for about a month... we are continually given incorrect/mis information from different staff members (though everyone we have talked to is extremely friendly). There is no consistent publication of program offerings. Apparently they are "paperless" so you have to ask the front desk so they can look on the computer and handwrite info for you on a piece of PAPER ‍♀️. Things seem to be cancelled often and lots of mentions of employees not showing up/quitting - possibly management issues? Today we went to the family fun day advertised on social media just yesterday. I called this morning and confirmed with the front desk that it was still scheduled, she put me on hold for awhile to verify - came back and said it is still on and listed in detail the activities planned. We arrive and check in, only to be told by the front desk manager that the family fun day is actually only every other weekend and is not today??? I pointed to the social media posts that were still posted and he seemed to indicate that was controlled be another office and they can't get it corrected? After voicing my concerns this manager indicated his best suggestion was that I should post negative reviews in places like Google as that seems to be the only thing that gets noticed by the Cleveland office - so here I am hoping someone hears this.

Everytime we ask our 3 & 6 year old if they want to go to the gym, the answer is ALWAYS "yes!"We've been coming for almost three years. The group classes are great. Saturday morning Zumba is a highlight to our week.The gym is clean and there's plenty of variety to the classes and enough weight equipment where there's rarely a wait for anything.

Experiencia fantástica: The Y has done an awesome job since they re-opened June 1st with the spacing and repositioning the machines. The staff has always been helpful and with a smile. They disinfect the equipment often and I feel safer going now then before this Covid-19 with all the safety guidelines that they have implemented. Experiencia negativa: I was not pleased how when I came to the YMCA as a member I was not allowed to bring in a guest under the age of 18 because I am also under 18. If a younger person can have their own pass then I do not see why they can't bring their peers in as guests. I understand where they may be coming from but I feel they are majorly contradicting themselves. And then they continued to treat us unfair, giving us attitude and mocking us. We offered to buy a day pass but they said. "It's more than your willing to pay"
