Experiencia negativa: The equipment is not safe. I was informed of a member who was working out at the gym and the ab/ back machine fell over, while he was using it. It was reported to the owner and confirmed by surveillance video. Fortunately he was not seriously hurt. I considered joining the gym, but chose not to for this reason. To Kristin Raabe, alias Kristin Lloyd, alias Red, who claims to be the owner of the gym, but isn't, you do not have to be a member, to post a review, you just have to have knowledge or experience regarding a business to post a review. I am also aware that you have a reputation for harassing people who criticize you and/or the gym.

Experiencia negativa: The gym and staff are highly unprofessional and unethical. The staff regularly posted harassing and threatening signs in the gym, such as " If you take towels home, we will kill you" and " Keep your opinions outside," with another sign on the trash can, in the facility, that reads "Suggestions," just a couple of examples of many. Most businesses welcome suggestions and feedback to help improve their patrons experience. I don't know what started the opinion/ suggestion issue, however, the fact that the gym is not only not open to suggestions, but hostile about it speaks loudly to their unprofessionalism and poor customer/ public relations. I also question the mental stability of staff who would post such signs in a business. Like most people, I go to the gym to unwind and have an enjoyable experience, without the stress of feeling that I am walking into a war zone between a staff member and gym members. When I attempted to contact the owner about the matter, I received a response from a staff person who used an alias and indicated that it is her business and she can post anything she wants. She then reacted in a retaliatory manner, as a result of my complaint. When new members ask for an orientation, they are told to hire a personal trainer for that purpose. When people cannot access a gym, via the electronic key pad, and contact the owner, they are treated like idiots and told they need to enter the right code, when more often than not, it is due to the faulty key pad. The gyms are also rarely staffed. There is a female personal trainer, at the Cool gym who is helpful with male members, but ignores female members, unless they are willing to hire her as a personal trainer and even then, she spends most of her time texting on her phone, when she is with the client. This same staff member is also responsible for some of the above mentioned inappropriate signs in the gym. During the COVID outbreak, the Iron Works gym remained open, allowing access to members and charging them, through automatic withdrawal, even if they didn't use the gym, during this time. This was in direct violation of State and Federal mandates and health codes. Other gyms were forced to close, during this time or face violation citations and fines. The owner and staff may feel they can treat gym members so badly, maintain such poor customer/ public relations and conduct business in such an unprofessional, unethical and illegal manner because they almost have a Monopoly on gyms in the area, however, there is another gym in Cool and I, for one, am also willing to drive a distance to go to a gym whose staff are courteous, professional, helpful and caring. The issues with the gym can be verified by other Members and surveillance cameras.Other people have had issues with this gym. When I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the gym responded to the Bureau by saying I should have contacted staff directly, regarding my concerns, despite the fact that I had plenty of evidence that I had contacted staff, regarding the matter. Staff should have dealt with the members they had issues with directly, instead of posting disturbing signs. There was ample opportunity to resolve the issues in a mature, professional and amicable manner, but staff continually chose to escalate the matter, resulting in a negative status with the Better Business Bureau. A staff member has bashed me on social media and her friends have made threatening and harassing remarks about me, for writing this review and yet she has the nerve to claim I am harassing her. She even tried to get a restraining order against me, for writing this review, which was DENIED. She continued to harass me and tried to utilize law enforcement to harass me, which is documented. The staff person mentioned is Kristin Raabe, who also uses the aliases, "Red" and Kristin Lloyd. It appears obvious to me that Kristin has serious mental and maturity issues. Experiencia fantástica: This gym has become apart of my lifestyle. There’s plenty of machines and equipment I need for my workouts. There’s cameras so I feel safe leaving my stuff I don’t want to carry with me while I’m working out in the shelf in the front of the gym. Water bottle refill station and unisex restroom come in handy. There’s fans all over the gym if you need to cool down. The gym is open 24 hours and with everything that was previously mentioned the monthly membership cost exceeded my expectations. I’ve always felt welcomed and know great people that come to this gym regularly.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love this little gym. It’s perfect for our little country town. The staff and owners are absolutely amazing people. They take their job seriously and do it well! Especially their beautiful Red, Scott, and that behemoth Jason, couldn’t be happier with this place! Highly recommend, and if you don’t live close to cool? They also have locations in Georgetown and Coloma! Look em up!

You can literally go work out at ANYTIME. 24/7 It's always clean & organized. I cannot say enough good things about this spot, especially the price is super affordable.

Kristin, who works & is a personal trainer at Ironworks is seriously the kindest, sweetest & most helpful trainer! Her bootcamps are always butt kickers & she is so motivating! The gym may be in a small town but has everything you need and run by people with BIG hearts! Love them! ❤️

Experiencia positiva: Nice gym! Was free for my first time and the lady working was very helpful. A little out of my way coming from Auburn but was glad I went to check it out. I will say the gym could use a little more ... Idk, character? I'd put up some wall art and some more mirrors. Other than that, the equipment was great!
