Experiencia positiva: I like this club because it is close to my home, I love the people and they have the equipment I like to work on. I'd like to see that equipment dusted a cleaned. It needs to be cleaned around the floor too. Maybe have the people that work there do some cleaning while it is a slow time.

From the moment I walked in I felt so comfortable and welcome. Next week I will be meeting with a trainer to discuss my goals and come up with a plan that works for me. Experiencia positiva: It can be pretty expensive, compared to other options. I understand they have multiple locations and free classes attached, but from what I understand they don't offer unique services (aside from fitness classes I assume) then the location I go to. My main complaint is just how expensive it is and I can't even bring a friend on my membership. Let alone get them a day pass at a discount. Even if it were just a certain amount of times a week. Last time I saw my receipt I spent 15$ for a day pass for my friend when we only workout for maybe 90 minutes. It's a nice location and the staff at the front door are always ready to help/assist. Edit- I understand the building has had some upgrade, but I stand by what I think about the day pass and I don't need a copy and paste response.

We have made many updates to our facilities and equipment at all of our locations in the past two years including: new flooring throughout the entire building, new hot water heaters, ventilation, and more. At our Main Club, we have brought in over 12 new pieces of Matrix Sectorized machines as well as a massive Cable unit. New Pull down bars, 3 new treadmills in the cardio room, 2 new assault self-propelled Treadmills in our O2Fe room, Belt Squat, and total hip machine. Our Main Club location also features large saline pool, aquatics classes, and racquetball courts.We have also made great strides in better honoring, serving, and compensating our dedicated and hardworking staff.AND we gave all of our members access to ALL three of our clubs with no add-on fees - we have the most Group X Fitness classes in the Valley, included in your membership at no extra charge!

Experiencia negativa: Letting grown men completely naked in the suana is gross and not ok. It's really uncomfortable. Would it upset you as the owner to make a shorts a requirement like most all other gyms?
Hello Taylor, We do allow our members to make their own decisions on what they wear when in the locker rooms - which includes the saunas and showers. Please visit the front desk if you have any concerns while using our facilities and they will help you out!
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been going to Superior for several years now. Several months ago I joined Tamara’s Superior U Challenge….and that has been a game changer for me!! I have lost inches and pounds and gotten a lot stronger. I have a history of a shoulder surgery and some knee issues, Tamara worked around my issues and came up with some great workout plans that didn’t aggravate or hurt my shoulder or knee. The exercises helped me get out of my rut and find some different ways to use weights, bands and machines. Looking forward to the next challenge that starts in January!!

Experiencia negativa: These people don’t need your business as it appears to be their strategy to be as outrageous as possible with their one day pass cost so you can try out their gym. There are national chains in town that are $10 a month, local chains that are $20 a month, but high horse superior charges $15.60 for a single day. Dang shame. It’s by far the closest gym to me since I moved, but that just left an awful taste in my mouth. It kind of tells you where they’re going from there. Update since response - you might want to tell your staff about that fee being applied to your membership. And still, why so much for one workout? C’mon. Isn’t $10 enough to milk from people so they can try out your gym? Do you pay $20 to test drive a car?

If a prospective member were to purchase a day pass and then decide to join as a member that day, we would even apply the guest fee toward membership dues for the first month! Experiencia positiva: Best gym hands down in the entire valley. Nothing else comes close. Update: membership dues went up a whopping 30%. $83 dollars for a couples membership. I have seen maybe 3 new pieces of equipment added there over the last 10 years. Still a great gym, but membership fees are now pretty much outrageous.

Experiencia negativa: Fantastic facility. Best bang for the buck gym in the valley. But now I'm having debt collectors from them contacting me for money I thought I paid monthly? But Superior's computers didn't charge my card on file? So I paid them, but now I'm being told I owe way more? But the staff let me in everyday and didn't let me know until I left Oregon?

We have a contractual agreement to each other. Since the dues were not paid and we could not reach a resolution the only choice was to send it to collections.
Experiencia fantástica: I switched to superior about six months ago I absolutely love it, I love all it offers and the daycare! My daughter loves going to the daycare the ladies that run the daycare are so lovely and welcoming to all the Littles greet them by name ughh such a warm feeling knowing that my child is being cared for by wonderful people while I get to enjoy all the wonderful equipment and amenities superiorhas to offer! All the staff is wonderful and respectful. Just greatness all around!

Experiencia negativa: Originally we signed up with my wife’s family and kids for a family plan. We were told that this was okay and we used the gym for a quite a while. We were then told our membership price will be increasing, which is understandable having it be a business and needing to turn a profit I get. But only after months of using it we were then told we can’t be on the same plan, even though that was not a secret when originally signed up, and that one couple will keep the old rates and we would get the new rates on our own plan but get the next month free. We were not happy about it specifically because the situation was known and agreed upon and deemed okay. So instead of owning up to their mistake of allowing something that is not standard they would risk losing multiple members. If that policy was known we wouldn’t have signed up most likely. Having worked in a gym signing up people for memberships and training I have made my mistakes and honored them because it was my error. The process of it all was quite frustrating and that is the reasoning for the 2 stars. Being told it’s okay multiple times only then to be charged with out warning of a new plan isn’t the most customer centric way of going about things. Facility is decent equipment is maintained, kids club attendants are friendly and always welcoming. Management and communication could use some work.

Experiencia fantástica: Consistently rated Best of Medford for a reason. I really can't say enough about the staff and the trainers here. They are top notch in training and continue to hone practice with ongoing education. I have thoroughly enjoyed the classes and have been encouraged during times I was struggling. I use both the Cardley campus and the Barnett campus and have found them to be clean and have updated equipment. I love that cameras and recording are prohibited and that privacy of all members is taken seriously. If you take the time to get to know staff and participate in classes this club begins to feel like an extension of a social group and having that connection is great.

Experiencia positiva: Read UPDATE following this post. Horrendous accounting/billing dept!! I have never experienced incompetence to this degree. They loose payments in their system and then send you bills that include what you already have payed. You Can Not reach the accounting dept. They NEVER answer calls, they are NEVER available when you call. The front desk know of the issue and try to transfer over to accounting asap because they can not answer any questions due to the extremely poor record keeping. I signed up this year (2021) in July, they have NO record of that, only when I signed up in 2017. They also have NO record of my initial sign up payment. You can not trust going in, in person to make payments or settle anything with the front desk. I've had to bring in my bank statement to show my payments, feel like it's been resolved, and the accounting dept. still try's to charge me? This used to be a Great gym. UPDATE: A New Operations manager was hired in December by the name of Joe. After reading my review and looking into the matter he did find that there was a problem with their accounting software in my case. Staff in the billing dept. was minimal and my problem (stated above) persisted longer than it should have. Joe has since hired a full time Customer Accounts Representative and is going through the proper measures to ensure that no other members are or will have the same experience that I did. My faith has been restored in this gym, and now with a competent, go getter, get the job done manager to oversee the way the gym is operating I have faith it will only improve from this point forward.

And the employees are nice and helpful also. Lots of machines for aerobics and weightlifting. Definitely a good place to go get your exercise on!

Experiencia negativa: They closed without notice for months in 2019. Without notice they restarted the contract they broke the contract by shutting the gym down. Then without notice I received a bill from them I have called and called to be removed only to be met by extremely aggressive collectors. So aggressive one named Lucas attempted to fight me. It was easy for you to shut your doors it should be easy for you to lose customers.
Experiencia negativa: We experienced many billing issues that were ignored by the staff at every inquiry, phone calls never returned by the billing department, overcharged numerous times, extra withdrawals on our account. Verbally abusive coaching staff that used bullying of kids and demeaning remarks to the point our youngest son refused to return. Our oldest concurred with the horrible comments made but tried to stay on as he loves to swim. Terrible terrible experience at Duperior all around for our family!

Experiencia fantástica: When in town this is the place I train. I've been coming here for 2 years and the staff have been consistency nice and helpful. Great mixture of equipment from all decades. Some of the best are the older pieces. I will keep coming here when in Medford.
