Experiencia fantástica: Carson and Ellie absolutely made my day!!! They are so awesome I may just have to make this a frequent visit!

Experiencia positiva: Decent for indoor running and walking. Every once in awhile, there are people not following the rules and sitting in the middle of the track or running in the wrong direction about to collide(!). Okay exercise equipment. Good hockey and rock climbing areas. Clean restrooms and solid air conditioning circulation. Front desk staff is polite. Been to Karate classes back in the ‘00s; I don’t still recommend any of the programs there due to the rates, teachers always being snobby & inconsistent hours. Convenient local and nationwide voting location as well. Outdoor park running/walking areas as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Spoke with Rachael today for the second time and she really sold me on bringing my daughter to the summer camp so were going to check it out today. Great person to have representing your organization!

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely loved the summer camp program they had! We were trying to find a place for our daughter since school was out that was cost friendly and here Elzie was!! The staff was so sweet and they had festive activities for them each week!! They provide lunch and snack for them which is great! I loved the field trips they had for the kids and the fact that they got to go swimming every Thursday's and have Kona Ice every Fridays. I loved the process of signing them up you could register them week by week or just do it all at once online. Our daughter was skeptical at first as this was her first camp but just as predicted as we came to the last day, she loved camp and was going to miss her summer buds. Thank you Elzie Odom Athletic Center for a great summer for our daughter!!! I would definitely recommend to others!

Experiencia negativa: Algo pasó en este centro cuando hubo cambio de gerentes, mi hija estaba tomando clases de ballet y de un día para otro nos dieron la noticia que ya no podría tomar más las clases en este lugar ni en ningún otro centro , y que a la nueva administración les parecía muy molesto que las madres estuviéramos dentro del centro , y que era un problema por que usábamos las instalaciones del lugar , la antigua gerencia nos proporcionaban sillas para sentarnos mientras esperamos a nuestras hijas todas menores de 12 años , cuando la nueva administración llegó , quitaron las sillas y teníamos que esperar a nuestras niñas sentadas en el piso , para nosotros no había problema con eso , nunca nos quejamos , inclusive algunas madres tomamos la decisión de llevar nuestras propias sillas , para esperar a que la clase terminara , o si nuestras hijas tenían que ir al baño poder acompañarlas para que no fueran solas. Esta nueva administración no solo nos trató mal si no que también nos hizo sentir discriminadas . Espero el corporativo lea esto y haga algo al respecto por favor .

Experiencia negativa: La Admistracion cambió mi hija estába ahí tomando clases de la noche a la mañana cambiaron dijieron nomás,no se podía sin ningún argumento válido eso no se hace y su racismo fue muy explícito con la gente hispana no se vale , cuestión mamás no hacíamos más que esperar terminara las clases por lo pertinente era esperara si quisieran ir al baño acompañarlas , no veo cuál fue problema hechar la clase si pues racismo estamos 2024 donde necesitamos apoyo no divisiones eh igualdad gracias

Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend this center to give extracurricular classes to children, after my girls' ballet teacher rented 2 rooms to teach her classes for more than 3 years, overnight they told her that they would not rent the spaces, Without even giving you the opportunity to look for a new place, those new managers Carson and Greg were very unprofessional, and some of the staff were very rude, you can feel racism because most of us are Hispanic

Experiencia negativa: My daughter used to take dance classes here at Dancing Academy and I didn't like the way they forced the owner of the academy to take the mothers out of the Athletic Center because the manager didn't allow us to be inside watching our daughters, no. It seems ethical to me to separate us from our daughters because some of them cannot go to the bathroom alone and in any emergency I want to be close for her.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter attends dance class but a few weeks ago the dance academy was "expelled" from the place with the only explanation that the new administration DID NOT WANT the parents there waiting for their daughters. How odd! the majority of parents are Hispanic. Terrible experience and terrible administration!

Experiencia negativa: Terrible service from this place! very unprofessional and not at all empathetic with the mothers waiting for their children outside the classroom. The new managers Greg and Carson kicked out the teachers, mothers and students, all because they don’t want them to wait in the hallway, they are underage students who need supervision from their parents because sometimes they even need help to go to the bathroom. Unconscious managers!!

Experiencia negativa: My daughter was attending ballet classes for more than a year and with the new administration, us parents were not allowed to wait for our daughters outside the classroom (1 hour) they took us outside the building; when they are minor girls and cannot go to the bathroom alone since there is a gym next door and it is not safe for our children; We are very sad and disappointed, perhaps because we are mostly Latino families, they displaced us from the place.

Experiencia negativa: New management specifically “Greg” is running the business in an unethical manner. Didn’t want the mothers of children to watch their kids dance in class and the moms refused to leave their kids unmonitored. Zero star

Experiencia negativa: If you are Hispanic don't come here they discriminate are little girls and the manager didn't allow us to go inside Wort manager ever now they don't allow Hispanic people to go there

Experiencia negativa: Bad customer service, ever since the new manager Carson and Greg came in, they don't want the moms inside the recreation center, they were very rude, chasing them all away, they left all the girls and boys without extra curricular dance activities. It is intolerant to block the dance dreams that girls and boys have. I hope the city can do something about it. They also chased away all the teachers. After three years being there quietly. So I don't recommend attending here. The staff was also very rude.

He slipped the contract he should have passed out immediately in an email and didn’t say a word about it to my wife. And made the due date of the contract the same day he gave it to her without informing her. I would advise taking your small business elsewhere if looking for a place to rent

I feel like they are racist because the majority of us are Latinas.

For reasons that are not clear to us, we know that they are children and they are noisy, but would it be the same if they were white children? or just because we are Latinos? You are saying that you are going to take away the opportunity for all the girls to continue in this beautiful sport. being you a sports place???

Experiencia positiva: We rented out the rock climbing room , kids had fun , but I didn’t like the fact that they don’t give you extra time to set up before your party starts. Also 20 minutes before my time was up , staff told me I had 20 minutes to get or I was not going to get my deposit back.

Experiencia positiva: This is the city of Arlington recreation center. They have plenty of things to do here. Basketball, rock climbing, karate classes, jogging on upper level track, roller skating, in-line hockey, fitness center and more.

Experiencia fantástica: Wishing I would’ve discovered this place sooner! They have a nice size Hockey Rink I enjoyed Roller Skating on today. Definitely considering joining the membership it’s only $16 a month. It’ll definitely be worth it if you skate a lot like me. Plus there’s no Skate Rinks open on Mondays in Arlington or Grand Prairie. I did see some Blades in the cubbies I’m assuming are for public use. Be sure to call and check their schedules to see when or if the rink is being used.

Experiencia fantástica: I just Love going to this place! I've gotten to know the employees & they are super special. I started playing Pickleball again in July & have made some very special friend & just Love playing the game with them. I don't get to play right now but I look forward to starting back up again after the first of the year. The place is always clean, they have workout area, I don't use it, but several other people do. The restrooms are always very clean, the employees always wear masks, & we have to wear mask when we walk in. I just Love This Place!

Experiencia negativa: Their rec basketball league is incredible. Don’t get me wrong. You’ve got to be good to play in their A-league. But, this place has THE WORST and most biased referees I’ve ever played with. Let me be clear, this isn’t a complaint for a couple bad calls in one game. I can handle a bad call. This directly has to do with a group of referees there that consistently made calls that hurt our team and clearly benefitted the other over the course of an entire season. It was so insanely egregious that our families in the stands stopped coming. We ended up having to recruit people from other teams that the refs had good report with to play on ours so they wouldn’t call a foul on his “buddy.” If you’re not part of the refs inner circle, good luck playing in a fair game.

Experiencia fantástica: We attend an outreach Taekwondo class at Elzie Odom & love it! Mr. Woods who teaches the class is simply amazing with kids. He really knows how to connect with them on a level they understand. My son has flourished in many ways since being in this class. I really appreciate having this class in our neighborhood! We also participate in soccer, volleyball, softball & rock climbing through the rec & love the athletic program & facilities they provide.

Experiencia fantástica: A perfect rec center for North Arlington, with a wide variety of ways to keep yourself active and fit. I love the elevated track around the basketball courts, and the weight room, while compact, has everything that you'll need. The wall climbing is an awesome bonus.
