Fire House Gym

Experiencia negativa: Typically, I love Firehouse Gym and have had positive experiences here. However, I attended the recent Friday night open house and was honestly very disappointed. The supervision situation was concerning. The staff overseeing the event appeared to be very young (around 17), and there were multiple 9–10 year olds in the lobby jumping on chairs and using inappropriate and foul language. Some of the comments being made were shocking and completely unacceptable in a public setting. What concerned me most was that parents were not required to stay and supervise their children. This did not feel structured or safe. In the event of an emergency, I’m not confident the supervision in place would have been adequate. I truly hope management reevaluates supervision policies and expectations during events like this. I normally enjoy this gym, which is why this experience was so disappointing.

Experiencia fantástica: What a great gym and even better employees! Our preschool program scheduled a field trip here and it was outstanding. Three rotations were set up and we had free time at the end. All employees were so nice to our students and parents!

Experiencia fantástica: My daughters went here for years and loved it. Their love for cheer started here and more importantly they learned so many life long skills and friendships from this gym.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place! We love Miss Victoria! All staff is friendly and supportive to each child and their specific needs/ abilities. My daughter has learned so much and loves going to class.

Experiencia negativa: The coaches have done this with both of my kids in separate classes. My kids are under the age of 5 and both of them have tough times staying engaged, unless a coach or teacher engages with them and makes them feel comfortable or part of the group. The coaches on two separate occasions now, have not given my children the time of day. Hire more coaches, or find some more engaging ones.

Experiencia fantástica: We just finished our son's birthday party here. It was amazing! So much fun for all the kids from 3 to 15 years old! The experience was fantastic! The staff, especially Chloe, was phenomenal!

Experiencia fantástica: Just had my son's 1st birthday party there. The staff was very helpful. Party went great, kids of different ages were able to run around and play. Price was very fair. Overall a great experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Staff was super polite and helpful for my daughter's bday party. They are closed Sundays and host bday parties that day which was super nice because we had the place to ourselves. The kids had a great time!

Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING. the gym is full of tons of fun stuff for those experienced and for those who are just having fun. Its one of the cleanest gyms I've been to in my life and being a gymnast I've been to more than the average person. It is also very kid friendly having the staff be one of the best staffs ever being friendly and nice and helpful to anyone around them as well. Over all I totally give this place 5 stars and recommend it 100%

Experiencia negativa: Contrary to many, I generally only post good reviews. But this place had so many misses that I simply can't overlook them, and want to let others know Staff was rude and ill prepared for the birthday party we attended. There was a sign on the front door that said the party we were there for was in the side room. We went around the side of the building and tried the first door: locked. Walked to the second: locked. So I thought maybe I was actually supposed to go inside to find the room. Went inside and had to wait for the two employees that were busy talking to each other to stop so I could ask. They told me it's the 3rd door on the outside. I said how would I know that? No answer. I said I gave up after 2 locked doors. I wondered to myself: Why wouldn't they have a "party is here" sign outside, or have written "go to the 3rd door" on the sign? Employee told me I could go this way, as she gestured. So we came around the desk and still didn't know where to go. I had to again interrupt them to say I clearly don't know where I'm going. Can you tell me where to go? I was just told "through that door". Thanks, not helpful, not friendly staffer. All could have been avoided by a useful sign telling me which side door to go to. The bar the kids swing on to go into the foam pit has high tension cables the kids have to duck under to climb to the platform. No guard or foam on the cable at all, except for at the bottom. We were 10 minutes late to the party. It took 10 minutes after that before a staff member even came into the gym. I'm not sure what she was supposed to do, but she just sat by the radio. Helping an occasional kid from the foam pit. The birthday girl's mom had to instruct kids on how to use the roller things, and the spring thing by the vault, and how to jump to the red cushion. Seems like all things the staff member should have been doing. Staff member saw my son go to use the bathroom, which was occupied. She heard me tell him he'll have to wait in line, and another parent say wait, we're actually already in line, yet she never mentioned the bathroom up front. Another parent told us there is a bathroom up front. My son had fun, but having had and been to similar parties at other businesses, this one ranks last. This would only be good for a party if you've already been here and know what to expect and how to instruct the kids

Experiencia fantástica: Very clean and the desk clerks were nice. It gets a little full but overall it wasn't bad. I'll be back to this location again.

Experiencia negativa: Was just there with my son for open gym...there were no less than 40 kids there with parents, and nobody wore a mask. Only 1 person trying to watch over everyone as well as handling the front desk. The gym itself is filthy and there’s no way that the 1 person working could have managed to sanitize anything. Super disappointed, we won’t be back.

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff and awesome workout experience! The instructors do a pretty good job of motivating us. I've finished a few harder workouts that I wouldn't have on my own.

Experiencia negativa: Went there on a sunday at 4:30 and the place is closed?? Supposed to be open 4-7pm on Sunday's. Kind of an inconvenience driving to johnsburg for nothing and having my girls disappointed

Experiencia negativa: Could not be more disappointed in the experience for my son at this gym. Looks like a great place for competitive cheer and trampoline but when it comes to recreational and boys forget it. My son’s class had multiple instructors in two months or would get picked up with another class due to no instructor. As a result, no consistency, no curriculum, and no structure to build upon. After two months I requested to stop my auto payment and was told I needed to wait thirty days. After leaving two voice mails and writing an unanswered email I was finally able to reach someone by phone when I requested the thirty days be waived. I was told I could speak with someone the next evening during my sons class, but they were too busy with another private lesson at the time I was given. If I was getting what I paid for I could understand the 30 days notice but I wasn’t and when I tried to address it, I was avoided. Now that my final thirty days is complete I plan on finding a gym that cares about professionalism, instruction, and communicating with their customers.

She is in the parent and me class with Coach Kristy, I can’t even begin to explain how amazing she is with her and how she makes each child/family comfortable and special. We tried other gyms in he past, but this ones different. You feel like you are all a part of a family.
