Experiencia fantástica: I found this gym fully stocked with all the equipment I needed and some. I've been with WOAT for almost a whole year and I highly recommend it.

Experiencia negativa: I moved from Pell City. The one in Pell City is nicer and bigger. This one was pretty small and cramped. I came on a Sunday. No one at the front desk but the door was unlocked. Half the treadmills didn't work. All the machines were really close. There was no free weight room. Most importantly I couldn't find a SCALE in a gym! I wanted to keep my gym membership with this company but I'm probably going to drop it.

Experiencia negativa: I don't know about all of their clubs, but I know about this one. S.C.A.M.! I have not been to this club in going on 3 years (April 2021 to be exact). To be fair, I did not cancel my membership (the first time) until the end of June 2021. I have been up there 3 times and signed papers each time to cancel my membership and called multiple times (when someone actually answers). Each time I was assured it would be canceled. Nope! Finally 3 months ago (December 2023) I called my bank and asked them to deny future charges. I got a letter in the mail today from a law office saying that I owe them money! Lol. They have basically STOLE $1,200+ and yet I owe YOU money? Of course, I can't get anyone to answer the phone there nor reply to messages through their website. Now I get to go BACK down for the 4th time regarding this. I am also filing a complaint with the BBB because what they are doing there is illegal and fraudulent.

Experiencia positiva: Cleanliness - 4 Due, mostly because of patrons trashing the place. Only so much the staff can do on this, which they've done way better the last few months Only one of two tanning beds work, for over a year now. I'm a large human and only fit in the stand up, that doesn't work. Supposedly waiting on a part from China Water fountain has been down for months now. Unreal to have to get water out of the bathroom or bring your own. A suggestion, I would almost make patrons not bring disposable water bottles, as they are left ALL OVER THE GYM... FOR DAYS Women's bathroom is missing toilet paper holder and a door on one stall. Equipment and placement -3 Cable attachments haven't been replaced since opening, it seems. Ropes are frayed. Lat Bars are misaligned and rubber not on the bar in ideal spots. The equipment is not bad for its age. One cable on the large cable machine was down FOR MONTHS until I fixed it with a staff member assisting me!! So much of the equipment is stacked right next to another piece of equipment and you will get injured at certain times hitting the other equipment. Some stuff you have to wait for people to move to put your weights on or off a bar etc. The Smith machine, you basically almost tea bag the person on the leg Press trying to load the bar. It's ridiculous! The gym has no trainer on site, which is unfortunate, as I've had relatives and friends join the gym and then request help, only to have (prior) staff tell them that the equipment is labeled with instructions. I, personally, watch others lift while I lift, just to make sure someone doesn't hurt themselves, but it just seems wild to me that a gym doesn't have trainers on staff that actually know how to lift. The yoga Mats and overall gym equipment and mirrors need a touch more attention and sanitizing each week it seems! For a few weeks, with this Alabama weather like it is, the heater had been turned on when it was 55° and the heat would be pushing 80 in the gym. The heat in any gym is unnecessary IMO and actually can be detrimental during workouts to a person's CNS. That being said, recent staff has made it back and keep it comfortable All of this being said, many things come down to the patrons that go there that can make the gym and gym experience here "MAKE OR BREAK" Depending on time of day, especially after hours, certain patrons can hinder a great experience. You can still have a GOOD experience, but the gym etiquette of a good bit of patrons can cause the gym to just be "meh" Gym goers of every fitness level will have a good to great experience. The location is great. No one will maintain any kind of self conscious, or self esteem issue with people of greater fitness levels than your own. No egos in the gym to keep people from achieving a goal they have in place, other than their own personal obstacles

Experiencia negativa: I have had a membership at this gym for almost two years. Equipment is often broken, no hot water for showers, and the water fountains have been broken for 6 months. But they sure take your money for maintenance fees. It’s truly sad to see how far downhill Anniston and Jacksonville Alabama Gyms have fallen. No excuse other than bad management.

Only reason I gave it a four instead of a 5 is because they dont have a personal trainer at this sight, and I wasnt shown anything about any of the equipment and had to figure it out on my own. Otherwise, great place!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great spot to get a workout in. Although it's small, there's enough equipment. And what's better is the 24 hour access with the simplest membership. Clean facility and nice staff. This will be my new gym home while I'm here.

Experiencia negativa: The only reason im still a member is because i work 3 jobs and cant get there during business hours to cancel my membership. I havent worked out there since they had a working hot tub, if that tells you anything. Between broken equipment constantly and no hot tub...i can work out at home and soak in my regular tub for that matter.

Experiencia positiva: I do have to say most of the staff is great. They are willing to help and answer any questions you have. On another note the equipment is out dated and broken alot of the time. This makes it difficult to get your workout done effectively. I come because convenience only. I would definitely choose a different gym if there were one closer to me.

Plenty of machines and free weights to use. Sometimes it's a little crowded but if you find the right times you may be in there with just a few people. Looking forward to returning and getting rid of some unwanted pounds.

Experiencia negativa: Had a membership there for year and Then went to cancel it when our contract was up. And went in five different times to sign a cancellation form and was still charged consecutively for five months. I was charged $50 each month and when asked for a refund was told it could not be done since the cancellation form had never been signed and was not on file with them. Office manager is never there and I would always have to speak to someone differently at the front desk. Then come to find out today that there are only two working employees on the roster none of which I have spoken to previously. I will never recommend this place to any of my friends or family due to the poor service that we have received in the short time of being there. This place will scam you for your money. Also found out today that each member is charged a different rate, there is no set membership fee. I was paying a lot more than other people.

Experiencia positiva: OPEN 24 Hours!! Daycare is included in membership, but like any gym, the hours are limited. Wet and dry sauna as well as whirlpool in each locker room. Good variety of classes, most of which are included in membership. Not super-fancy, but who needs that when you are going there to sweat.

Experiencia fantástica: Anniston Fitness Center is the best. Their facilities are awesome; their staff is great and caring. The other members are great also; nobody judges each other, they just jump in and work together. It's a great place to be!

Experiencia positiva: The place isn't too bad, but there was absolutely no thought given to the postage-stamp sized locker area. 92 lockers surround 2 benches. If you get more than 4 people changing at the same time, it gets awkward fast! And if someone has scuba gear for one of the classes they offer, just turn around and leave the locker room because you won't fit until they haul out! ..but the lobby area is an inexplicably huge waste of space...go figure. That's my only serious complaint about this gym. Everything else is okay.
