Experiencia positiva: Awesome staff

Experiencia negativa: Any gym that requires you to cancel your membership in person with one specific staff member during limited business hours gets an automatic 1-star. I was told this was so they could make sure we don't owe anything but they have my freaking credit card so not sure how THAT is an issue. Would have cancelled at least 4 months ago but still stuck. Have tried twice, will try one more time and then start disputing the charge on my credit card and will then cancel the credit card.

Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly and professional staff, Shasta Athletic Club has a large variety of equipment and amenities. Also a very fair price point. Also I don't know of any other workout facilitie that offer a large air conditioned room you can use equipped with floor mats and punching bags where me and my friends are able to practice Martial Arts.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0 stars I would. I started at this gym about a month ago. I could look past the fact that it's an older building in need of some repairs, the machines being a bit older, and the fact that they don't wipe anything down. However, I called in advance about having my kids sit at a table with their tablets and was told it was fine (I didnt think it would be a problem since they advertise a kids club that doesn't exist AND an employee literally walks around with a baby strapped to him) however when I went to workout I was rudely told I couldn't bring my kids and then cut off when I tried to explain his employee telling me it was okay. After that experience, the hypocrisy of the employee with a baby strapped to him but my kids can't quietly sit at a table I won't be returning to this gym. Don't waste your money if you want a clean, nice, family friendly experience! Super disappointing.

Experiencia fantástica: Great price, lots of amenities, hot tub, sauna, pool (cold), locker room, showers etc. Water is not filtered enough, bring your own. Racketball.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a member of this gym for over ten years. I decided to cancel last week, due to bugs in the sauna, bugs in the jacuzzi. It is so hot they don’t run the ac. Carpets are filthy and ceilings are caving in. Don’t spend your money here. Many more options in Redding that keep up with a clean environment. I told staff multiple times about the bug problem, they didn’t seem worried about it. People save your money!

Experiencia positiva: Signed up for a 12 month membership less than 2 weeks ago because my physical therapist recommended my using a spa to do my exercises for my back injury and the pool which I was told was indoors and 84 degrees. In that time I have only been able to use the spa 3 times as it is "not working" most days. The pool is also not indoors (in a tent) and not 84 degrees. There are also buckets and canisters everywhere due to the roof leaking and mold in several places. It could be a very nice gym if they would repair and maintain it properly.

Experiencia negativa: I am female, was swimming in the pool, wasn’t given closing warning and new to the hours, harrassed by 3-4 guys locking the back door so I couldn’t get to my car. Hostile and won’t go back 100% don’t feel comfortable taking a shower there again. Creepy.

Experiencia negativa: First off $50 a month for a year which is $600 that you cannot cancel unless you pay that $600, or however much you owe is crazy. For a place that is so outdated and gross. So unsanitary even though there are wipes people don’t use them. Half the stuff in that building needs to be replaced some the seats are ripping, not to mention you don’t get any benefits of bringing a friend with you. And if you don’t use your membership and would like to let your family members use it, they cannot. I just can’t think of any benefits they provide us, this gym isn’t worth $50 a month in my eyes. The only thing they offer you is a free smoothie card when you first start, and someone in the gym stole it from me. So I just wouldn’t trust your stuff there without a lock. There are better options

Experiencia fantástica: So many cool older machines (still in great condition), huge gym, traveller friendly with a $12 daily pass (most other gyms in the area were trying to charge $20 per day, that’s what I pay per month back home in Utah!)

Experiencia positiva: A full service gym for an affordable price for how many amenities are offered. First walking in I noticed there was an old, musty smell and was quite out dated, and the carpets were stained and very worn. Sadly overall it was kind of dingy and definitely needed some TLC.

Wish the lighting in the locker room area was NOT wallmart style bright and that the hot tub was functioning. Also wish they had a plant based protein option for their prepared smoothies which are pretty yummy. The talking massage chairs which verbally demand money from you are both funny and obnoxious. Love this place

I understand very well, because the cost of massage parlors is increasing, and they have superb massage techniques, which can soothe the skin and relax the mood. We like this place very much. Experiencia negativa: I was there for maybe 10 minutes starting my free trial. The employees didn’t offer any sort of tour, didn’t tell me where anything was, I had to ask. Not the worst thing in the world, but was a bit unprofessional. The locker rooms sucked. The showers didn’t have partitions or curtains, and the lockeroom was a bit dirty. I’m comparing this place to the ymca, who are 100000x better than this place in nearly every category. The employees were not very friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff are always welcoming and helpful. The equipment is well maintained. They offer tons of instructed classes that come with membership. They have a smoothie/shake bar. There is plenty of workout equipment so I can get a good workout in even during high volume times. After my workout I can go enjoy the suana or jacuzzi or even go for a swim.

Experiencia negativa: I have been trying to cancel my subscription for 5 years and every time I get in contact with anyone “we have no record of your request” . I have paid out thousands to this club who doesn’t care. I haven’t even lived in California for over 5 years. Can’t do anything over the phone, won’t help you out in any way.

Experiencia positiva: I give it 4 stars because my visit was to introduce myself to the facility. It has a pool jacuzzi sauna full gym physical therapy yoga classes aerobic classes something for everyone. I'm very eager to get started there.

Half-basketball court, lots of Racketball courts, sauna, lap pool, hot tub, etc. In addition, the owner is local, so it's a great way to support small business owners in Redding.

Experiencia fantástica: This gym has everything! Weight area may seem a little cramped, but the people here are courteous and do not hog the equipment. It has two floors and evidently has group classes in various rooms throughout the day. Also equipped with saunas, pool, and spa as well.

Experiencia positiva: It's a great gym, Charlie is super nice whenever I see him he sais hi and waves, all the employees are awesome, Brandon is very helpful, they've been doing some updates, can't wait for the jacuzzi to re open!

Experiencia positiva: Its not a bad place to train at. The first thing you see is the equipment is very old equipment. The weights are mixed matched as well. Its a good gym for the family because there is a pool, saunas, and many classes that are offered to the gym goers. I only use the gym for weight lifting and sometimes the sauna. I wished they would update the equipment because some of those old ones have pulleys in weird positions that sometimes get in the way of you exercising. Overall, its a good gym to go to if you don't mind the old building and old equipment. You can definitely get a workout in.

They have an employee in child care that brings her own kids and does not vaccinate her kids and only takes care of her kids!!!! The gym manager is always unfriendly and all the equipment is breaking!!!!

Got a discount for being in school and a being a couple. The staff are chill. The child care is very convenient!

Experiencia fantástica: A genuine health club facility with amazing staff , this place has a great impact on its members as they help them to develop a healthy lifestyle. It's a huge gym family! This place provides a huge selection of equipment and free weights to utilize. Additionally, they provide a vast array of classes, my favorite being the Spin classes. I'm super excited about their newest gym membership option: Lifestyle Membership!!! I have personally lost over 50lbs in one year. This place has changed my life dramatically in a positive form!

Experiencia negativa: Been here a year and have seen the gym in a steady decline. Broken equipment not repaired, equipment not maintained, dirty, men's showers rarely have soap dispensers filled, no working, accurate scales, recent new lighting nice but amateurishly done. When I see a piece of equipment that needs attention I immediately tell staff but not once has the issue been dealt with. To bad. A gym with potential is going to shambles.... I will not renew.
