Civic Center

Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful day at the Civic Center. Lots of people walking, looking at all the geese in the pond, kids and parents on the nice expanded "playground". Though there were no baseball or soccer teams playing, the pickleball and tennis courts had good action going! Saw some people flying their drones, and everyone just enjoying a very nice day for late December.

Experiencia positiva: A nice atmosphere. Everything is clean. But why would an organization like the Anderson Civic Center no have hot water in the ladies restroom to wash your hands.

Experiencia fantástica: The Hot Air Affair Rising Above Cancer (Labor Day Weekend 2025) was the coolest event I've been to in a while, plenty of vendors and things to eat, plenty of space for well over 300 people. Bring your towel or camping chairs. Definitely stroller and wagon friendly with their road that circles the entire property. Got a wristband for the kids to play on the Inflatables all day and ride the mini train. Kids and I had a great time. Can't wait to go back next year!

Experiencia negativa: Good park, nice playground, although the soccer fields are always locked up, why make a public place where you don't let the public use the fields?? Besides that I would just say to make sure that there is someone watching the pond many kids go out there and hurt the ducks/geese.

Experiencia negativa: There really needs to someone monitoring the park area. Today 2 teenager ( at least 15 yrs old were throwing rocks and & big sticks at one of the ducks. The older person with them was encountering it. Ridiculous!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Attended the arts and crafts Christmas festival. The Civic Center is a very large building with lots of parking. The vendors had decent sized cubical like areas. Lots of talented exhibits. Food trucks were serving up some magic. Had a great time

Experiencia fantástica: The 2023 Holly Jolly Holiday Fair at the Anderson Civic Center kicked off today at 3 PM for VIP ticket holders. My son and I enjoyed all the many different vendors and found a lot of gift items for Christmas We will certainly be back next year! There was free DIY gift wrapping, food trucks, and discounts!

Experiencia negativa: At Darius Rucker concert. Bizarre and horrible line and crowd management. This place has no idea what they are doing. Concert is about to start and there is a huge line on the street. There was lightning an hour ago. But they waited way way too long to open the gate

Experiencia negativa: If you want to go to an outdoor concert with 90 minute entry lines with no bathrooms this is the venue for you. I have never seen a worse job of crowd management for an amphitheater concert. You carry your chairs up a long uphill grade to get in line to go back down and back up the hill.Once inside concession lines were long too. As for the venue itself the terraces are nice and the crowd was remarkably well behaved. We could not see the stage from center stage rear. At 15x zoom you could barely make out Darius. The large size of the venue has the benefit of the audience not being smashed together but is offset by the fact they don’t project the stage on a larger screen like most venues much smaller. For smaller events this would be a great venue but not for big names like Darius Rucker. Darius puts on a good show.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely poor vending layout at this facility. They need to take lessons from other venues around the upstate. The crowds of people had to continually walk through the vendor lines to get anywhere. Also, they do not allow caps on any drinks period. I was shocked to buy two water bottles only to be told they have to throw the caps away per civic center requirements. Ourselves and many I spoke to will never go back.

Experiencia negativa: Was extremely disappointed in the lack of contacting customer who want to hold events. For months I was trying to get booked and for months I was told we will get back to you on dates we have opened and then nothing. So we booked an appointment with Mr C, and he showed us the venue so we said we will take it. Then the waiting began again! Tyler is NOT a very good event manager in the least bit! When he finally did contact me back and I chose a date he said he will do up the contractt and then nothing again. I just gave up and I will NEVER attend an event at this place ever again. How I was ignored was completely uncalled for!! If I could give a no star I would have

Experiencia negativa: It is quite unfortunate that you can only play pickle ball/tennis until about 8:00. Why you might ask? The lights don’t work. Very very unfortunate.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a really good time at the Fair. It was country style. Pig race, motorcycle stunt riders in a metal ball cage….flips on ramps. Feed wild animals from around the world. Super cool rides and good food, and games.I plan to back.

Experiencia fantástica: I only go there to go to the fair. It's always nice. And has a nice selection of rides and shows for the whole family. Always a good time. There is always something to do no matter what your age is.

Experiencia fantástica: From someone who has visited this park since i was in elementary school the recent additions are AMAZING. I took my three kids (9, 8, and 6) and they had a blast. I love the shaded areas throughout kidventure 2.0 the splash park is a fun way to cool off after running around on the park. Thank you all to everyone who contributed to this project

Experiencia negativa: One of the most infuriating and confusing experiences I’ve ever had a concert venue. You had to wait in a line to get a wrist band to wait in a line to purchase tickets to buy drinks just to be told it’s cash only so you have to wait in a line to the 2 atms they have for a sold out concert to wait in line again to a ticket to wait in line to get a drink. There was no direction in what to do at all.
