Experiencia fantástica: I've dropped in here a couple times in the past year while visiting Ames. The owners and coaches are all really great, and the members are very welcoming. One of my favorite gyms I've ever visited while traveling, for sure.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to drop in for a month while I was home and I couldn't be happier. The coaches are excellent and helpful and the community is really nice and kind. I am so grateful that I found these folks and this awesome gym. The location is also really cool - between the highway and Lincoln, so pretty easy to get to.

Experiencia fantástica: The coaches are so friendly and very helpful, and the classes are both challenging and fun (especially the HIIT portion!) The most fun days remind me of grade school recess! I had back issues that physical therapy didn't seem to help, and I wasn't sure if it would be worth it to join, but the coaches helped me scale things down when necessary, and my back feels so much better! I'm stronger and fitter now, too! I'm so glad I joined!

The owners of Iridium began their On-Ramp at the same time as I did, and I am SO PROUD of what this place has become over the past ten years.

Experiencia fantástica: Iridium is my family’s home away from home. Being a recent mom, the coaches helped me through my whole pregnancy and post-partum journey, modifying and encouraging me through the entire process. I came for the workout, but stayed for the people!!

Experiencia fantástica: From a beginner’s perspective... Coming from an ultra running background I had zero knowledge of lifting, but wanted to get into CrossFit and so I joined Iridium. This is a great gym to learn all of the basics, they provide everything and you can pretty much just step into the gym and start the prescribed workout. I found the workouts to be scalable for different fitness levels and challenging enough to keep me humbled. I found the 5:30AM workouts to be a lot more challenging and faster paced, the 6:30AM workouts tend to be a bit more casual, smaller sized and more time was focused on getting form correct (as opposed to finishing as many activities as possible), this was great for me as a beginner. If anyone decides to get into lifting in a safe way, I think Iridium CrossFit is an amazing place to start. Did I also mention that they host competitions? Really great community, they also host side events like painting and food drives. Highly recommend Iridium for both beginners and also people who have years of experience. I want to give a huge shout out to coaches Adam and Billy for their contagious passion for CrossFit and their keen eye on form and the countless times that they were able to improve my technique significantly. Maybe my only complaint is that I feel like the workouts aren’t long enough. I wish there were more 45 min+ blocks of continuous exercise. Instead, there is like 45 min of stretching, accessory lifts, strength and warm ups before the actual workout which was usually only 10-15 minutes long (albeit, very intense).

Experiencia fantástica: Could not recommend Iridium CrossFit enough! Love the atmosphere and community! All the coaches are very knowledgeable and have every athletes best interest in mind. I’ve gone through a few health crisis and have come back to the gym where everyone has open arms and is always cheering each other on!

Experiencia fantástica: Prior to Iridium CrossFit I was going through the motions of the same workout routine I have done for the past 4 years. All I did was power lift and I struggled outside of the gym doing things I love like mountain biking. Iridium has sparked my love for working out again with amazing coaches, gym and workout program. I can feel myself gaining functional strength, flexibility and endurance.

Then you need to get down to Iridium Crossfit located in Ames IA. The owners/Coaches Bret, Cara, Heath, and Lindsey are amazing. Their Gym is a cut above the rest. You can't ask for a better staff and facility to help you accomplish any of your physical goals.

Experiencia fantástica: Very comfortable gym with a welcoming community and excellent coaching. I had to travel to Ames during the Open and wasn't sure how that would go. They bent over backward to make sure that I was able to do the workout the way I wanted to, when I wanted to do it and with a judge. I couldn't recommend them more highly - I will definitely be back.

The coaches were very helpful when I had to modify workouts around an injury. Great coaches, great culture, great workouts.

Experiencia fantástica: Iridium Crossfit is an amazing place. Coaches are knowledgeable and professional. I have some knee issues and they modify my workouts to get the best out of my workout. I would reccomend that people try it whether you are new to crossfit or have been doing crossfit for awhile.
