Experiencia positiva: Nice gym but the weekend hours are disappointing

Experiencia negativa: I went today and I talked to a lady with blonde hair and I experienced the worst customer service in the world. It just ruined my day and I wish I didn’t even try to go. I went back to my car and almost started crying because of how mean she was to me. I would recommend not ever going to this gym ever. I really wish I had a better experience. It feels like she didn’t even want me to be there.

Experiencia negativa: Brand new members, already disappointed with our experience. We brought our kids to swim during the posted business hours; we showered and entered the pool, only to be rudely told by a group of lifeguards that we couldn’t swim because it was reserved for a birthday party. "You have to leave." There was no prior warning or signage. It would have been much better if we had been informed before getting in the water, or just left alone.

Experiencia positiva: Nice clean gym with good quality equipment. My one complaint is the amount of people sitting on there phones on the equipment, this is very rude to others who want to use the equipment, definitely need to improve this in a big way. Other than that it's a nice gym

Experiencia negativa: Price increase to $20 for a day pass! Completely outrageous pricing. Similar gyms are less than $10 for a single day. If your goal is to workout, Planet Fitness is only $20 per month!!

Experiencia negativa: I’m shocked at the high reviews! In our going into three years at this gym it’s quite overpriced! We experienced rude staff to us, as well as watched the treatment of staff to staff not being great. We watched a child nearly drown with the life guard having to be screamed at by the father to save his son. You will find the lifeguards are often distracted by taking to each other or others. The kicker was seeing our son being treated in an aggressive manner. When I brought it to the attention of management it was quickly turned against me, and something I didn’t say. For the safety if your children I would recommend the YMCA with daycare!

Experiencia fantástica: I've done water physical therapy here over the years. The physical therapist are so kind, patient and knowledgeable. The PT pool is wonderful!

Experiencia fantástica: I love coming here to swim. I first started coming last year for physical therapy after a bad car accident. This is how i met much if the staff and life guards. They are all super friendly, knowledgeable, easy to talk to if i have questions and often just simply ask about your day. The pool and locker rooms are always clean and i never worry about the showers or changing areas as they seem to always be well maintained. Im extremely thankful for the option of the pools. It's nice to have a place to go and work out and do physical therapy where i feel safe and comfortable.

Experiencia fantástica: Awesome fitness center, I've been off and on here since before it was TP, and it's always been a welcoming, clean, professional fitness center. It's not a powerlifting gym, so I have to venture around for that, but it is awesome none the less.

Experiencia positiva: Can’t seem to get comfy using the equipment upstairs on 2nd floor. Feels exposed to the first floor foot traffic, like you can be stalked or you’re on display.

Experiencia fantástica: Love the water classes. I've done some yoga classes and love to swim laps. I'm meeting new people all the time.

Experiencia fantástica: Great equipment, well maintained facilities and lots of activities including daycare for the kids. But all of that is really just smoke and mirrors once you realize that the real MVP is "Cookie Kevin" (IYKYK). This guy is a staple at the campus and deserves all the accolades for both keeping the public safe as well as making everyone's day a little bit brighter. I have no idea what the guys compensation is, but I can tell you it will never be enough. If you happen to see him, tell him THANK YOU! He truly is a gem!

Experiencia fantástica: This place is amazing. The gym is always clean and the staff there are so friendly. The gym space is large and has pleanty of options to choose from. 100% recomend. if you are a DMACC full time student you will be able to recieve a free membership. Even if you are not. The membership is worth the money.

Experiencia negativa: This gym is the worst at allowing people mainly teens to sit on the Machines on their phones. They will sit for 15, 20 minutes on phones. At very least they could post signs asking patrons to kindly exit machines if they want to be on their phones! But no, they do not care.

Experiencia positiva: The physical therapist Allison is awesome. The one thing I don't like is the big windows where everyone randomly walking by can just stand and watch or stare while I'm trying to concentrate on healing.

Experiencia negativa: There is a sign to wear masks, but virtually no one does. I didn't see a single employee with a mask on. The positivity rate for COVID is currently over 21%. I will not be back.

Experiencia negativa: The lady with the frizzy hair and no teeth is the rudest person i’ve ever met. Every time i go to the gym and she checks me in something is always wrong with my membership no matter what i do. I’ve never had a problem with anyone else checking me in. Very disappointed trail point.

Experiencia fantástica: The selling point for me was the 25 yard lap lane pool and family pool. They have basketball courts, volleyball, and racquetball courts and an indoor running track in addition to the standard weights and strength training and cardio machines. There is daycare available during certain hours. Classes and personal training are available as well. There are affordable community memberships for non-students, so you don't have to be a student to join, and the membership fees go towards improvements on campus. I find the facility to be clean and orderly and the staff and members are friendly. Highly recommend if you are looking for all these amenities in Ankeny and want to stay within a budget.

From the friendly receptionist who goes above and beyond to see how she can best accommodate your schedule, to my actual physical therapist I adore (Abby R.) She takes her time to evaluate and pays attention to formulate a plan that best suits your situation. She listens. She provides feedback, recommendations. To anyone looking for warm pool therapy, or even just land. This place has been a big part of understanding my body and learning how to use it RIGHT.

Experiencia fantástica: Great environment & friendly staff. Plenty of equipment for all gym goers. Tons of classes offered. My son has enjoyed little Ninjas and swimming lesson so far! He also enjoys and looks forward to going to child care there. The child care staff is all very friendly and welcoming. They take time to keep them active and engaged, which makes me feel at ease. The gym has all levels of gym goers that attend and I have yet to feel uncomfortable there once and I’ve been a member for over a year. I highly recommend this gym to anyone. Especially families ❤️

Experiencia negativa: So you can be a student but membership is showing inactive and they won't let you use the gym even after you are paying the semester and showed your scheduled

Experiencia negativa: Facilities are nice but you have to show up in person before you can cancel. I called and told them I want to cancel and they said you can't until you come there to fill out their paperwork. If you move to Europe and forget to cancel; too bad, you will need to fly back to come in and sign the paperwork before they stop charging you. This is a very unethical business practice in my opinion, and as a teacher, I can't encourage my students to attend DMACC knowing they find this practice an acceptable way of doing business. It ended up costing me an extra 150.00 dollars from the day I called to cancel until the day I was able to drive down to walk in and sign the paperwork. I'm sure I won't be the last person burned by this policy and other reviews prove I'm not the first, but I hope someone can read this before joining and find a place that doesn't use questionable cancellation practices to join instead.

Experiencia negativa: Trail point needs to make it's policies clear. We've been coming here for years and rarely had a problem having my 4 yr old run around the track with us. An employee Kimberly came over to us and said my 4yr old isn't allowed up on the track. I have previously been told by management it is ok. Needless to say my son left crying because she stopped us in the middle of the run and told him he isn't allowed up there. Make your policies black and white so people can understand them.

Experiencia fantástica: The best gym there is in town; with something for every fitness needs. An 8 lane pool for the fish in the house, a tenth of a mile running track for those with dreams of beating a cheetah and a top of the line weight floor. Did I mention fitness classes?

Experiencia fantástica: Great gym. Swimming, Basketball, Volleyball, Running, Biking or Lifting Weights... there are even racketball courts. This gym has it all!

Experiencia fantástica: Trail point has awesome free group classes from water classes to yoga to total body conditioning. These classes and the friends made in the classes make it easy to stick to a routine, which for me is the hardest part of being consistent.

The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a very clean establishment, and a great place to start a class like hydro swim or kickboxing. (I have done a few, myself in the past.), or go off independently. I spend anywhere to 45minutes to 2hours here, depending on my day. This is a great place for all ages. My only question now is(?) Will there be longer hours or a add on soon? I need my gym time, and I refuse to go anywhere else

Experiencia fantástica: Great place and it's better than the YMCA because you do fun stuff and the facility is bigger and nicer. The basketball courts are the best!

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice equipment, you can always find an open treadmill, or other equipment to jump on. Weights are plentiful and since new, they are in great shape. Has a great indoor track, cycle room, racquetball courts, 2 pools, 2 large basketball gyms and rooms with various instructor led classes you can take. Check it out for yourself and see.

Experiencia positiva: Definitely the best gym in Ankeny. They also give a Law Enforcement discount, which is absolutely amazing. I wished their daycare was open more often, but it is what it is! I also love that they have hours where you can walk/run with a stroller on their indoor track! This was so nice when my baby was too little to go to the daycare! The pool is really nice! They have almost any club or class that you could possibly want!! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that it is a little pricey and I have had staff provide me with incorrect information.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this gym! Very clean, showers don't scare you like some gyms, and staff has always been friendly to me. Nice equipment, and able to track progress on treadmills with a log in. Not everything is squished in a small space either, so you don't feel like you are on top of each other.
