Experiencia fantástica: Awesome gym!! I’ve been around to country for my work so I drop into a lot of gyms - this one is the best I’ve been to! Great weight lifting equipment, hot sauna, good locker rooms and a basketball court.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member of this gym for over 5 years and have nothing but great things to say. It's got everything you need regardless of what your workout goals are. Matt, Julie and staff have been great. I have never had any issues with members or staff. Everyone has been courteous and friendly. If there have been some bad boys at the gym, I have not ran into them? Matt and Julie do not tolerate bad behavior at the gym. I am thankful to have this caliber of gym close by and reasonably priced. Hands down 5 stars.

Experiencia negativa: The management are on what I would call the good boy system. I don’t think the gym was kept very clean, the sauna was nasty and they keep water in there to put on an electrical rock heater. Needless to say, I found another gym.

I went to Brickhouse Fitness this morning and I wish I went in sooner this week. Great facility and Sara was very kind when she showed me around. I plan to be go here again when I'm back in the Des Moines area!!

We didn’t want to lose our progress fitness wise and looked up local gyms as the hotel we were staying at didn’t have any. What a blessing it didn’t have one! We were so impressed with the staff and the facility here! Especially with Sarah at the desk. The gym has everything you’d ever want/need for cardio and lifting. It felt super safe and we never felt worried that we were out of town guests. We will definitely come back to this gym when we stay in the future!

Experiencia negativa: *suggestion* Before joining this gym, try it out for a week and interact with the "regulars" and find out if it's a place for you. I recently had an issue with a member wanting to fight and "take me outside" because of small misunderstanding with a machine. Matt the owner looked the other way and ultimately sided with the "regular". Matt was pleasant to speak to and did want to hear the story quickly but claimed this gym has a " Zero Tolerance" policy which is untrue. My Fiancé has a similar issue with this unhinged member as well and we both canceled our memberships due to this. The staff is nice, the gym is clean but disappointed in the way they handled this situation so I cannot recommend this gym.

Experiencia fantástica: Top of the top I mean this place rocks becoming a member gets you all the classes you want and if you’re asking me that is more than worth the money even without doing a single class you’re still going to get your moneys worth there’s a huge selection of free weights and machines hell there’s even a sauna, I would highly recommend (if you didn’t already get that haha)

Experiencia negativa: Had a terrible experience with Jamie the Athletic Director at this location. Won’t be returning and don’t recommend to anyone else. Update: the owner seems to have replied and apparently people don’t travel? Also trying to associate me with something else regarding the Athletic director I mentioned? Seems like she has troubles at work and outside of work. Very strange reply and accusations. Clearly not a healthy work environment and lack of professionalism from the owner.

Experiencia fantástica: Hands down the best gym in the metro area. I’ve been to a lot of gyms in a lot of different states, these guys constantly upgrade machines, barbells and equipment. Couldn’t be happier. Pro Military and Police, great place for everyone. Quality environment.

Experiencia fantástica: It blows my mind sometimes that we have a gym of this caliber in Bondurant. This level of cleanliness, organization, equipment, programming and community involvement is something you’d expect in a bigger city. Coming here you’ll see the same faces day after day, there’s a culture of consistency, discipline and accountability that is really fun to be apart of. The core community here is really invested in making sure this gym stays clean and welcoming. It sort of feels like lifting in your garage gym with a bunch of your roommates, except your garage gym is enormous and has awesome equipment and all your roommates are good looking. I belong to a couple other gyms for but this one is hands down my HQ and no. 1. Bondurant’s truly a better place because of it.

Experiencia fantástica: This is one of my favorite gyms in Des Moines. They are a good mix between barbell weight lifting, classes, machines and cardio equipment. It is very clean and they even have specific towels for the equipment and specific towels for your face which is very appreciated. Also the vibe is very friendly. You can ask anyone at the desk if you don't know how to use machines or help with your movement. Also the owners Julie and Matt are just fantastic people. They really listen to their members and they buy fantastic equipment/maintain the facilities very well. Also some more small touches which are very appreciated is the air conditioning, the outdoor track, and water fountains that are made to fill water bottles. These are the small touches that make a workout fantastic. Also don't let the frills fool you lots of people come here to get serious work done :-)

Experiencia negativa: I’ve gone there 3 times and the 4th time they wanna finally not let me in cause I’m not 18. They pay no attention to there job. Honestly you could walk right past the front desk and go work out for free considering how much attention they pay. They are honestly lucky I had the patience to wait at the front desk for about 8 minutes till someone decided to show up. Lady was rude. And every person who works there has there own way of doing things so best of luck getting the person who actually knows how to do there job. Will not be returning

Experiencia fantástica: I was looking for a no-nonsense gym, with their own set of standards that would allow me to only worry about my goals when I come in. The staff and managers Matt and Julie have created a respectful, self sufficient, and diverse environment. There aren't rules posted all over the gym, there's no one watching over your shoulder, but there is an overall feeling of respect between members and staff that make your experience very fulfilling and simple if you're their for the right reasons.

If you’re looking to train for a specific event or just work on a better you, this is the place to do it. I’ve been to a number of gyms in the area and nothing beats BrickHouse. The price is more than fair for the variety of equipment and classes offered.

My family and I were one of their first clients and followed them to the original Brick House Fitness location and now to the amazing new facility in Bondurant. Both Matt and Julie’s attention to detail concerning member safety and wellbeing, community involvement and the overall day to day operations of Brickhouse is unlike any other facility. When you walk in, the staff greets you by name. Equipment is versatile and plentiful, including my all-time favorite, kettlebells! The facility is especially clean which is SO important in this line of work (I’ve witnessed several ‘staff days’ where every single piece of equipment is moved and properly cleaned, outside of the standard day to day cleanup). They take great pride in providing an environment where you feel like you can succeed and achieve whatever your fitness goals might be. They support the Bondurant community in more ways than I can even mention. And when you’re here you feel like family. Nothing more you could want to help yourself maintain a healthy lifestyle and make some lifelong friends along the way. TRY IT. GO TO BRICK HOUSE.

Experiencia fantástica: I will never go to another gym! The employees are friendly and the owner makes you feel welcome! The equipment is cleaned daily and well kept. The other members are friendly and respectful. You respect the gym and the members, they’ll respect you back! Same with any other gym. We have options for all ages including group classes, free weights, cable and other machines, indoor basketball court and indoor track, outdoor sand volleyball, and sauna. Facility is well kept! Would highly recommend this gym if you’re looking for a gym home. Beginning and looking for somewhere to start Or professional powerlifter/bodybuilder? we welcome all!

Experiencia fantástica: Brick house is an awesome gym that we are lucky to have in Bondurant. Matt and Julie who run the gym are actually very friendly, open and helpful. They will however hold you accountable to certain degree for poor etiquette and behavior in the gym. Despite what all of these negative reviews state about Brickhouse.. A: VERY CLEAN. The employees do a great job and clean constantly to keep everything tidy and wiper down. B: Matt and Julie are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are only “confrontational” if you have a disrespectful attitude towards the gym, it’s members or the facility rules. From my experience Matt and Julie have only been this way a handful of times. C: All of the staff are incredibly friendly and willing help in anyway. Come see for yourself and don’t buy into the negative reviews on here.

It’s a community filled full of supportive staff, top-notch trainers, great people, and the tools and resources you need to achieve your goals. At Brickhouse words like accountability, respect, and hard work aren’t written on a wall, they’re engrained into the workouts and practiced by the people who call this “gym” home.

Experiencia fantástica: Edit: While I don't personally like or understand the reasoning behind summer hours since I feel keeping steady availability is a big draw for a gym, at least in one I look for.... The absolutely fantastic customer service, atmosphere, and most important community relationship is completely unmatched. Their commitment to giving back to the community is something we all can do better at, and brickhouse is leading by example in a big way. The culture the owners are committed to providing has outweighed any complaint I'd ever have. I wish the power racks were something a little higher quality/more adjustable like a rogue monster (or titain knockoff, etc) is the ONLY picky complaint. Fantastic bar selection and every machine most people would need that you don't see in gyms much anymore.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been a lifter most of my life. This gym is one of the few that covers all bases (powerlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit or just regular maintenance) very well. Customer base ranges from regular people getting or staying in shape to serious competition types. The gym staff is extremely friendly. The facilities are impeccably clean. A true 5 star gym.

All the trainers are so personable, helpful and friendly, it's become a second family and why I keep going back 5 years later! The sauna is an added bonus!

So many classes available and many times you get free one on one training. Clean, organized and overall great design. It has everything you could ask for except a pool. Lots of fun events, member support and overall a great place to be a part of, for about 30-50 a month, can’t beat it. Indoor outdoor volleyball, basketball, saunas, tons of cardio, free weights and machines, plus all the variety of classes and flexible times. Whether you are looking for serious weightlifting or group classes with no judgement, this fits the bill.

Our guests loved the facility also. They were wonderful in communication, contract, etc. Can't say enough great things. We appreciate you! Experiencia fantástica: This probably isn't what you expect from a fitness facility, but my review is for what a great place it was to host our annual Chamber of Commerce awards dinner. It's amazing to see the training room and entry area transformed to be used for this type of event. It was comfortable for our group (100 people) and the staff was so helpful in getting everything set up.
