Whether you’re lifting heavy, doing functional training, cardio, or switching up routines, there’s truly something for everyone. Machines are well maintained, there’s plenty of space, and it doesn’t feel chaotic even during busy hours. The atmosphere is solid, focused, and welcoming which makes it easy to stay consistent.

Experiencia negativa: Good energy, upbeat music. Poor maintenance of equipment. With so many members, machines shouldn’t be broken for weeks. Unacceptable. Also, teach your weekend staff how to turn on the TVs. Minimum competence.

Experiencia negativa: Same day cancelation, refund refused Canceled my membership the same day the charge went through and didn’t use the service at all afterward. They refused a refund and showed zero flexibility. Came across as very money hungry and not customer focused. Be extremely careful with billing dates. Once they take your money, they’re not interested in doing what’s fair or right.

Experiencia fantástica: I came by the area to visit family, but still wanted to get some workouts in. I got a week long pass here and it was great! Not very crowded so most of the machines were open. The facility was in great shape, from weights and machines to a nice locker room and sauna. Shoutout the general manager Leland for the excellent service!

I came today for my session and the staff told me that i’m not scheduled at all… in the text messages Clyton confirmed the session at 7pm at this location This wasted my time and frustrated me. Onsite staff offered to reschedule, im no longer interested and for sure won t renew my membership since a client’s time is not taking seriously

I love the atmosphere, love that there’s newer equipment and plenty of it, and love that this gym offers workout classes. When you sign up for a membership you get 2 complimentary workout sessions with a trainer; shoutout to Jalen who worked with me knowing just when I needed to push but also knowing when I needed rest. Another shoutout to Leland who gave me a tour of the gym and always offers amazing customer service. Highly recommend :)

Experiencia fantástica: Love it here! I've spent several weeks in Alexandria for work over the last two years, and this has become my gym away from home. There are lots of squat racks and deadlift platforms, and great machines. Their short-term membership options are very convenient, and they've even customized a package that works for me and the duration of my stay - thank you Leland!

Since 2022 I've competed six times with no coaches due to the many gyms/clubs focusing on cardio fitness and monthly tuitions. Experiencia positiva: I wanted to make this location my home after having a bad experience at the Skyline location, but unfortunately, that won’t be the case. Overall, the gym itself is great—the facilities and equipment are well-maintained. However, the front desk staff consistently come across as unfriendly. There’s no greeting when you arrive or acknowledgment when you leave, which may seem small but makes a big difference. As a paying customer, I want to feel welcomed where I choose to spend my money. After a particularly negative encounter with one staff member, I reported the issue to management and was assured it would be addressed. Unfortunately, when I returned, I experienced the same treatment. Because of this, I’ve decided this will be my last month as a member, and I’ll be giving Gold’s Gym a try instead.

The sauna is always HOT but crowded on a busy day. Love the boxing classes with Damian! Glad they have a separate area just for the Strike Studio and it’s so much bigger than the other studio locations. Plenty of equipment and I like openness of the gym.

Beyond the fantastic management, the training staff is equally outstanding. My son has been working with the best personal trainer, Luke, and the results speak for themselves. In less than a year, Luke has helped him achieve his fitness goals—building muscle, improving agility, and increasing endurance. His hard work paid off when, as a freshman, he earned a spot on the varsity soccer team! I can't stress enough how excellent the staff at this gym are. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for their members make all the difference. If you're looking for a gym that prioritizes both fitness and community, this is the place to be.

Experiencia fantástica: Solid gym with good machines and access to weights off-peak times. Love the knowledgeable and helpful trainers (shoutout Jalen and Q), friendly front desk folks, and boxing studio coaches I’ve worked with (Damian, Blue, Marcus, Alan, and Ronnie)! I’ve been wanting to get into boxing for years and finally found a community with this gym.

Experiencia fantástica: If you’re in the market for a basic commercial gym with a nice variety in equipment, trainers, and classes this one is definitely worth checking out. They stay on top of keeping the place clean and fixing their machines quickly. Staff is friendly, but not up your ass. Biggest plus, I haven’t noticed a lot of extremes with personalities. I don’t know if other people care about that, but it drove my girl and I out of a couple other previous gyms with cheaper membership models. FYI: Crowds change depending on the time. My experience is with the midday crowd and my girl is part of the early morning crowd.

Experiencia positiva: Didn’t like this location. I usually go to Madison st location but this time I decided to check this one out and it wasn’t good. A lot of equipment is old and the gym was open until 7pm while an employee shut off the lights at 6.57 and literally everyone was forced to leave. That’s not cool. Madison st location never does that they will let you finish your workout while they are working on closing the gym. And would never do that

Experiencia positiva: This gym is simply OK. The staff is nice and there is a lot of equipment, but it’s usually over crowded and pretty dirty and the cardio equipment is frequently broken. It gets the job done but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Experiencia negativa: I might quit OneLife today. Or soon. Hard to say—my patience and their leadership seem to be on competing timelines. The disappointments are adding up. Not catastrophes. Just enough small, telling moments to form a very clear pattern. Yes, there’s another location close by. But if the same people are running the show, that’s just a change of scenery, not a solution. Experiencia fantástica: Been going here since 2017. Plenty of equipment/weights and room to use whatever you need. They upgrade the facilities and equipment fairly regularly and for the most part everything is kept pretty neat and orderly. If they run out of things like paper towels in the bathroom, as long as you alert the front staff it's taken care of pretty much immediately. The trainers there are great and really make you feel at home and welcome. 99% of my workouts are at 5am though and it's definitely a quieter vibe and much less busy than say 5pm. I've been here a handful of times with the after work crowd and it can definitely be a bit hectic. Probably comes with the territory in this market though. All in all I think this gym gives the best value for the money in the area.

Experiencia negativa: I was informed that I would receive my first month free, but this was not the case. Instead, I have experienced ongoing difficulties in attempting to get a refund. The customer service has been extremely disappointing. Additionally, I was misled into signing up for the wrong gym location, and when I tried to switch to the correct one, they refused to honor the price difference. If this continues, I don’t see this franchise thriving for much longer. I hope you take my feedback into consideration and work to improve your services.

Free classes are nice, they do get crowded so get there early. Would suggest that anyone joining to thoroughly read all information, but I do appreciate Lisa specifically for assisting me throughout the process of transitioning out. In summary, no major complaints as a mid-20s gym user.

Experiencia negativa: A bit disappointed. I drove 30 minutes out of the way to come here after speaking to a membership advisor. Asked a bunch of questions to make sure they’d have the equipment I need for Olympic lifting. They didn’t have women’s barbells and all the platforms face mirrors no matter which way you turned. A bit misleading and wish they would’ve double checked the questions I was asking. Front desk didn’t really seem to care about the inconvenience and no one was present until past 10am to help me in the office so I just left.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid this place at all costs. I have never seen such old and outdated equipment in a gym, especially one that claims to have been newly renovated. Lots of the machines' safety features are nonfunctioning, and are generally in rough shape, if they’re operational at all. The machines are also really dirty, probably due to the fact that this gym has no wet wipes, but instead has members spray down paper towels and wipe machines with that instead. That really doesn't do much to clean the machines, and just sprays chemicals around while everyone is breathing heavily. As others have mentioned, there aren't enough weights, and you constantly have to steal from other areas in the gym to be able to properly rack a set. That happens no matter what time you go in. You can probably get what you need done here, but you'll constantly have to rework your sets to accommodate the lack of weights or functioning equipment. Editing to add, in the 8+ months I’ve been a member, the state of the gym has only gotten worse. Machines are still old, faulty and dirty. The only update this place has gotten is a turf replacement after the shooting that happened. Don’t believe all the random 5 star reviews that came in to try and hide bad reviews filling the shooting on the gym floor. If you have any other option, take it, otherwise you will always leave here frustrated and disappointed.

Experiencia positiva: We are almost there. I see the changes. Some new equipment. Hopefully more dumbbells on the main floor. I have an idea for you guys. Just throwing it out there since there are ongoing Air Conditioning problems. Either buy some floor fans like the ones upstairs or buy the industrial A/C units that can be placed anywhere and moved around. Like most complaints, it's too damn hot on the main floor. 80 plus degrees inside a gym is diabolical behavior while trying to train.

They are selective about who they greet. Several (4) men at the counter and none of them say anything every time…I don’t feel welcomed at this location.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible gym. Please don’t waste your money and find a better gym. This gym is full of weird people, including the employees. Their customer service is horrible. The employees at the front desk never greet customers, and all they do is flirt with each other. Most of the equipments are broken, and they take forever to fix them. Also, not long ago, a shooting happened inside the gym and two people lost their lives as a result which makes the gym even more uncomfortable. I suggest to joint other gyms like lifetime or golds gym.

Probably not; but it’s quite disgusting there are comments that we should “deal with and accept it” and to also “never leave your house,” because believe me, as an introvert, I wish I never had too, as I’d rather spend time with my wife and dog; yet what makes it even worse, I have yet to see One-Life/US Fitness Holdings put out any type of follow-up in reference to anti-gun violence statements. Control what you can. However, this is not reason for my review. It’s to warn the current and potential members of this owner and this outdated disgusting gym, which in the recent months has seen its board of directors go out of their way to seek the service of AI to boost its ratings, most of these “5 star” ratings that you’ll see claiming “phenomenal customer service,” with “great, new equipment,” “very spacious,” and a “great place to get fit” It could not be more obvious these reviews were AI generated. What customer service? New equipment? And a great place to get fit? Really? It’s a gym, obviously people go to these types of establishments to get fit; and in regard to customer service - is it referring to the once a month “hello” that members get upon entering and checking in? Or is it when workers constantly (won’t even say consistently) because it’s a constant, fail to refill the spray bottles and paper towels to clean equipment Or is this great customer service when they let members save equipment for themselves from across the gym? Also, the “new” equipment? Most of the equipment would only be new if we all took a time machine back to 1990. The only truth is that this gym is spacious, however the placement of the machines has been done incorrectly and not only do you feel on top of people while working out, there’s a significant amount of wasted space, so yeah it’s definitely spacious and a whole fleet of buses could be parked in there. So, the shooting was the last straw for me, and it has been two months trying to cancel this membership. I am forwarded to a new person each time even though I have been emailing within the same email thread. First, a Leland, forwarded me to a Melissa, and in an email from Melissa, I was told that July would be my last payment. Then I was charged for August as well, so I reached back out to Melissa. This time, a Patricia emailed me back stating there was confusion, and per my signed membership agreement that I would be charged for August. I am paying a month to month membership, have given plenty of notice, and in a written email from member services associate, Melissa, told me the final payment would be July - so I requested a copy of this signed membership agreement. It has been 7business days since I last heard from a Patricia, a Melissa, or a Leland - so if any or all of you could email me back to clarify and get me a signed copy of this membership agreement that would be great. Thanks.
