The workouts are challenging, and you can definitely feel improvement. Both New Start and Brooks get an easy 5 stars!

My lack of experience made the gym intimidating and the my ADHD made sticking to my own training plan impossible. Thanks to the trainers and community at new start I'm a certified gym girl now! Every class is a challenge but designed to grow with you at whatever level you're at. There is never a boring class and there is always a banging playlist.

Experiencia fantástica: 5/5!!! Attended my first (ever) workout/weight/HIT class today. My experience at New Start Fitness was incredible! Todays class was ‘Glute Camp’. The class may have kicked my ass but the coaching and environment was 10/10! Brooks Dean the owner and today’s coach was patient, educational, motivational and coached me through every movement! My intimidation of weights and group workout classes is gone- Looking forward to starting my membership!

Experiencia fantástica: This is hands down the best gym in Knox County. Brooks and the other trainers are so encouraging, the workouts change every day and the trainers adjust them so that you are challenged no matter your ability or restrictions. They get to know every person and push you while making sure your form is correct so you don't damage your body. I can't say enough good things about New Start Fitness!

Experiencia fantástica: I just joined a couple of weeks ago. I have tried classes at National Fitness Club, CrossFit, etc. I finally found this gym after a few months of being here and it's been great. The workouts are always different and always challenging. The trainers pay attention the WHOLE TIME and they give form cues, modifications, and up your weight when its time :) Can't say enough good stuff- If you're looking for a gym- THIS IS THE PLACE!

The trainers are so caring and supportive- they truly want you to feel your best and see you grow! I feel like you get so much more out of the classes than any other gym because they emphasize safety and proper form and they SHOW you instead of telling you what to adjust. Everyone is respectful and it’s definitely an environment where you can feel comfortable and confident the way you are…like I said- this place is different and YES YOU GON GET THAT WORKOUT…believe that! But you will also feel like you are growing as a person too and have so many people rooting you on and helping you along the way! This place is a hidden gem and I’m so grateful I found it! If you want to feel good, have fun, make friends, push beyond your own expectations, get strong and feel like a BOSS…this is the place!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this gym! I’ve been going to New Start for right at one month now. I have always been involved in athletics and have struggled to find a gym and workouts I enjoy after college athletics. I’ve tried many other gyms and personal trainers over the past 2 years and in the past month here I’ve already seen more results and can lift heavier. I’ve taken classes from all the trainers and I like them all! Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly and helps to push you. 10/10 recommend!

Brooks always makes sure that your form is good when lifting and is so good at gently pushing you when he knows you can do more. He is so encouraging and understanding. Working out should be challenging but fun at the same time and this is the place to find both!! I’ve made so many friends here and I literally can’t wait to go back to the next class! If you are looking for a hymn that will make sure that they take great care of you and don’t leave you alone. This is the place you need to be. All the trainers are great, and they will work with your individual fitness level. Everyone there is so nice, and it’s not crazy competitive like some gyms I’ve been to. New Start Fitness feels like a family. Brooks is awesome and always encourages you to be your best. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

I moved to Knoxville from out of state a few months ago and was looking for a gym that was more group oriented to help meet people in the area and this gym turned out to be the perfect fit for me. Every very single trainer has come up to me personally to say hi and make me feel comfortable and welcomed when I took their classes for the first time; plus, the workouts are awesome, I usually burn at least 500 calories every time. Going to classes has become my favorite part of my week!

I was searching for a gym that would help me feel better, not just physically, but mentally. After my first class, I knew I had found the right place. All of the instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable, always there to help adjust for proper body mechanics and encourage me to lift more weight. I always look forward to classes, knowing that I'll most likely get to laugh while working out with this great community of people and that I'll feel stronger afterwards. I'm grateful to have found this place!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a member of many different gyms over the years, but I always lacked the motivation to attend regularly. I tried a free class at New Start Fitness and was immediately hooked. There is a variety of classes that range from weight lifting, cardio, dance, yoga, bodyweight, pound, and more! I have never been so motivated to workout in my life. Brooks is a fantastic trainer and has created a wonderful, supportive community at New Start Fitness. They definitely push you hard to do your best. I highly recommend trying it out!

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was my first class at New Start Fitness in Knoxville. It was the glute burn class with Brookes. Absolutely incredible! When I got home I signed up for the unlimited class immediately. When I was first researching a gym for me, I was looking for a sense of community and a variety of classes. I love working out, but am not determined by myself nor push myself-- happy I can acknowledge and was able to make the choice for myself to find a gym family. Also, I can't do the same thing every day or a similar workout every day-- Honestly, I get burnt out. New Start checked all of my boxes online! Attending a trial class verified all of my assumptions and more!! Brookes pushes you in a way that makes you feel more confident in your abilities, but in no way makes you feel shameful for taking a break in the middle of a set. The atmosphere is contagious- full of life and support! Class participants are mixed with a variety of workout backgrounds, bodies, strength, experience-- Everyone has a spot in this gym! I mean who actually laughs and smiles during a workout that leaves your glutes feeling like noodles by the end. Incredible place! I'm excited to try the pilates class tonight and be part of the New Fitness fam.

I always feel comfortable coming to class because of the diversity of people who attend. Sometimes it can be intimidating working out in a group, but all levels are welcome and everyone is always so encouraging. :) Come try it yourself!

Experiencia fantástica: New Start Fitness (NSF) is an exceptional gym. To be honest its more than a gym; they’re family. Everyday I look forward to the good calorie burn and LAUGHS. I’m grateful to have found such an intentional and well rounded fitness/wellness space. NSF offers a variety of classes/workout routines, no matter your fitness level. The trainers really do an amazing job of assessing fitness level, tailoring workouts specifically to fit your ability. I totally love it here!

Safety is #1 and the coaches are very knowledgeable. A wide range of classes and opportunities that allow anyone to exercise. 12/10 would recommend.

Was only here for 3 months for work and everyone was so welcoming, they offer so many different class options, and they truly made you want to come to the gym (which is not a natural place for me to want to be usually). It’s like one big work out family!
