Experiencia positiva: Love all things about the fitness experience at Schoolcraft. I use the pickleball courts, pool for aqua exercise and appreciate that its for a reasonable cost to everyone in the community. The pool is exceptionally clean too!

Experiencia fantástica: A great place for your fitness needs and has a state of the art faculty and facility. If you are a student who is registered there is no fee and if you are from around the area the cost is low and you are allowed to use everything they have to offer. Plenty of parking and lots of hours so you can get your fitness on any time you need to. Schoolcraft is based in Livonia near 7 and Haggerty and you can check it out any time your in the area.

Experiencia positiva: Great variety of equipment and machines. There really is something for everyone! Large windows and adequate spacing between stations lends a spacious feeling overall. Access to the sauna is a very nice perk, though the locker rooms aren't as clean as they could be (e.g., thick dust in vents, mildew in showers).

Experiencia positiva: Relatively clean facility with great machines and friendly people. As a student, the space is very accessable. Only complaint is how NASTY the women's locker rooms are. MOLD in every shower stall head and the water makes me break out bad. I will NOT be using those again.

Experiencia fantástica: It's clean, nice weight selection, and well lit. Really appreciate the cable machines. Plenty of machines for cardio with lots of options. Not very big but there isn't commonly a lot of people their either. I commonly use it for all the things I can't do at home with dumbbells. Really love that no contract or yearly fees, it's just a monthly thing, so when life gets busy you aren't wasting money. Really happy overall!

Experiencia fantástica: Gorgeous indoor track, the gym has almost everything you can think of including high impact flooring for dropping weights, slam balls, battle ropes and a sled/prowler push. This place must have been built within the last 2 years. Brand new and has not been as crowded as expected.

Experiencia fantástica: I assist the teacher in a Tai Chi class. This facility offers many phys ed classes inculding swimming. This is where I had my first Tai Chi experience 10 years ago. We have a lovely room that has wood floors and a mirrored wall. Perfect for Tai Chi and yoga.

Experiencia fantástica: The facility is very clean, well-equipped, and accessible for people in any stage of fitness. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: The gym is full of all sorts of great equipment. All of its in great condition or better. They have a great team of staff members. Rules are enforced... so you dont have any losers blastibg music on their phones or anything like that. Hours of operation are convenient. Im a full time student... so the gym is free for me. But they have a plan for non students as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Facilities are clean and equipment is top of the line...but the biggest assets are the staff members. Management and trainers are super knowledgeable and friendly. A very healthy and comfortable atmosphere!

Experiencia fantástica: Lots of equipment, bright, cheerful, clean, friendly place with food that you can buy as you're leaving.

Experiencia negativa: The gym itself is decently equipped but the manager Jake makes the place almost unbearable. he berated us about saying the f word in normal conversation in front of the lockers and harasses me and my partners about insignificant things such as dropping a plate from shin height off of a squat rack those things coupled with the borderline offensive form he demonstrates to his clients make me actively search for any gym in the area even decently equipped as a replacement. Post response edit: Jake was very unprofessional to me and my brothers and company and consistently made us feel uncomfortable a warning about profanity would have been nice before yelling at us not to use as he would put it "F-bombs in MY GYM." I would recommend you use professional language and tone with your patrons before you try to change your members language.

Experiencia fantástica: Been working out here regularly last 3.5 years (since retired & budgeting more) after being a regular @ Lifetime Fitness for 15 years. Doesn't have all the machines & extras that Lifetime has but it's much cheaper, cozier & way less crowded. Friendly staff. All adult age groups well represented.

Experiencia fantástica: Good selection of free weights and many different types of weight machines. There is also plenty of cardio equipment. The locker rooms are very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Great fitness center to meet most everyone's needs. 1st review says it all! There's also a platform for deadlifts and Olympic lifts - plus the bar is legitimate however the knurling isn't very rough and doesn't provide optimal gripping for heavy lifts - chalk is a must if you don't use straps. Dumbbells up to 100lbs in increments of 5lbs and plenty of weight plates. Power rack at the center as well.

Experiencia positiva: I personally really like the Fitness Center at Schoolcraft - it's clean, and (most importantly) not crowded except during peak times. The equipment is very standard, but comprehensive for a small gym like this one - there's plenty of generic cardio equipment, a free weights section with several types of benches, and standard limited-motion weight lifting equipment to target the major muscle groups. They also have some weight machines that offer more flexibility of motion, and some supplemental equipment like yoga mats, ab wheels, and exercise balls. Additionally, the center has a pool (which I haven't used yet, so can't vouch for), several basketball courts and racquetball rooms, and a set of tennis courts outside that is open to the public. These facilities are all very nice; the downside is that use times may be limited by teams and group events. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and work with you to get you a good fitness center rate. Speaking of rates, there are a lot of flexible options at Schoolcraft, depending on if you're a student (at any college), a Schoolcraft alumnus, a community member, or someone enrolled in professional development or continuing education. It is also free for Schoolcraft students. I would recommend the gym overall, but if you are looking for a big gym or a fancy gym, this isn't for you. It has very nice equipment, but very standard equipment, and like I said, sometimes use times of extra facilities can be limited by classes and teams.
