Experiencia negativa: How do you join SamFit? It's a mystery. I've tried calling and leaving my name and number; the responses take days to a week. I asked if I could make an appointment to sign up, and they said "just drop by! " I tried dropping by during their listed hours (once at 11 am; a second time at 2:40 pm) and there's no one inside the office to assist. Both times I followed gym members into the facility to search for staff who could help; there's no one there. If you're a retiree or a high school student who can adjust your schedule (multiple times) to meet their random schedule, it looks like a great gym. If you work for a living, you might want to look elsewhere (like I'm doing starting today).

Experiencia negativa: impossible to get anyone to answer when calling. Switched bank accounts and the late fees are insane!! charged me double the membership cost.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been trying to get ahold of this place for a week now. Calling and leaving messages. Nobody returns my call and nobody answers no matter what time. There hours say open until 6pm on weekdays but they are often closed and nobody comes to open the door. This is the only gym in the area with a day pass that’s affordable yet the service is apparently none existent. Do not recommend wasting your time trying to go here.

Experiencia negativa: Read the fine print carefully. My sister was a member here. Paid monthly by check. Stopped coming and stopped paying. Thought she was done. Turns out they switched to autodeduction. No doubt the fine print authorized this. Still slimy.

Experiencia fantástica: Open 24 hours. High quality machines for cardio and lifting. I usually go after work late evenings or very early the next day and it's never felt crowded.

Experiencia negativa: Incredibly difficult to get a hold of. Employees never seemed to be at the location during their hours and won’t answer the phone, voicemails or emails. It took me a month until I was able to contact them. Very unfortunate!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great facility; it's clean, very spacious, there's a good amount of equipment for lifting and cardio. The staff are kind and helpful. Love that it's affordable and open 24 hrs. I've been at most of the gyms in town and this is by far my favorite.

Experiencia negativa: Very poor front office. Multiple times door was closed and no staff available even during limited “staff hours”. Need to have better management. Recommend to choose one of many other convenient places. This coming from a Samaritan employee.

The staff was wonderfull, the nurse practitioner made me feel comfortable and listened to all my worries and needs with no judgment. I am very happy to be a patient at samfit

Experiencia negativa: I guess showers aren't a selling point since we've had to be patient for MONTHS while a special part, a one of a kind, hand crafted part that is capable of turning frigid water into hot water. Because as of now you're lucky to get 2-3 minutes of tepid water. Oh, and there's gym equipment.

This place is way worth it, clean, quiet, .friendly people, then likemost mornings, I like a quick work out,,in running routines, on nice Free weights, and Universal equipment, well maintained, and nowI turned my life around, and at my age, I'm going healthy theses days, so... , this place is great, it's, open.. 24/7.. 365.. get your own key card , And its a Co _ed, .. so... Gym room,showers,lockers, health insurance coverage, cheaper, check. membership partner. too. Water,energy, drinks, Vending machines too.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place to workout. The gym is relatively small and there isn't swimming, but the equipment and bathrooms are always clean, there are lockers, the staff are kind, and the gym is 24/7.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a severely underrated option in Corvallis! Despite parking occasionally being a challenge and the space not being utilized as well as it can be (way too many treadmills), you can still lift heavy and get a solid workout in. At peak times, the only things that ever have a wait is the squat racks and the stair-masters (they only have two). They have a great staff that knows what they’re doing - not to mention they’re genuinely nice and want people to get the most out of their memberships.

Experiencia fantástica: The SamFit facility is similar to what you may find at a Planet Fitness, except there's no lunk alarm and the employees at SamFit truly care about the wellness of the community.

Experiencia fantástica: Good gym. Has a lot of great equiptment for its small size. Doesnt feel crowded at all. All the treadmills and cardio machines have screens that allow you to select and follow a workout if you choose.

Experiencia positiva: Its a nice little gym--well maintained and relatively cheap compared to others--but lacking in equipment, especially when a lot of people are there. Although it's everywhere, some members are also selfish or inconsiderate and house rules are not enforced.

Experiencia positiva: For 40 bucks a month (unless you're an employee of specific businesses) you have access to this gym. There is not a pool, but any of the Sam-branded classes are part of what you paid for. The Corvallis gym is more crowded at certain times, just like any business, so schedule accordingly.

Experiencia negativa: A few years ago, when I first joined, this gym was ok. It's sadly become a place I'll avoid like the plague, however. The first problem is the crowds. Even on the weekends you'll usually need to wait 15-20 minutes for most stations (usually a person on their phone). Many days you'll never get to use several stations. Secondly, the equipment has become very worn out. Cracked and dirty machines are now normal. I finally became fed up with SamFit a few months ago and cancelled my membership. While doing so the person in the office rudely informed me that I not only would need to pay for the remainder of the month, but also an extra month as a "courtesy fee". Lastly and weirdly, just before I cancelled my membership SamFit hung several signs in the gym that read "Shirts showing mid-drift and/or excess cleavage are not allowed". What's next? No bare legs? If you like crowds, not actually working out, filthy and broken equipment, Fundamentalist religious law, and being financially assaulted, SamFit is for you. For everyone else, pick any of the many other gyms in town.

Experiencia positiva: This facility has a lot of equipment and a separate large room for exercise classes. There are plenty of elliptical machines, bikes, and treadmills. Some of the Nautilus-type machines are out of date. There are plenty of free weights. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and they keep the gym clean. The ropes need to be anchored to the wall. Parking can be tight, depending on the time of day. Overall, SamFit is a good club.

Experiencia positiva: As far as local gyms go this is one of the best. There is a good selection of equipment and plenty of space to move around in. It does not feel cramped for space like Anytime or Snap. Also the air quality is so much better in Sam Fit. The staff is friendly and there are a number of live classes you can take. It compare Sam Fit is not stocked to the same level as a 24-hour Fitness would be but you can complete a really good work out.

Experiencia fantástica: I hit this gym between 4:00 and 6:00 AM and it's usually me solo or a few older people. Excellent if you are self conscious like me! Small, clean, plenty of equipment, excellent yoga class with a bloke named Austin!

Experiencia fantástica: Sleek, modern, and clean. Plenty of machines to use for a quick cardio workout, and plenty of weights to lift as well. The locker rooms are nice and include a weighing scale and showers. Most machines have a TV with basic channels and an universal account system for tracking progress. Open 24/7 so you can stop in anytime, as long as you want. For only 15 dollars a month, you can't beat it.

Experiencia positiva: Inexpensive and many aerobic excercise machines. One each of resistance machines that "trainers" can reserve for as long as they wish, or members place towels on to reserve while they pace or use other equipmwnt.

Experiencia negativa: I have called 13 times in the last two weeks, attempting to get information on membership prices and services available at the gym. Not once has a employee answered the phone. I would not recommend doing business with a company who outright refuses to even answer their phones.

Experiencia positiva: I really wish that the office staff was more helpful over the phone and that we got a "welcome" packet or better information as to what is included in membership. It is a 24-hour facility, and I haven't ever gone when it is packed and I can't find something to do.

Experiencia negativa: There is a good selection of equipment, but the workout areas, especially the class area, is not clean. I would give it a better rating if they were to clean the facilities.

Experiencia negativa: Not sure who runs this place anymore, but in the last 2.5 years it has gotten overcrowded and rundown. The only time worth going is during off-peak times, or you can end-up waiting ~5-15 min. for a station. The people that work there are ok, but inconsiderate of other members when they are "training." The vacuuming around the treadmills when they are packed and around the station you are using is a joke. I guess they don't consider that people have allergies or other respiratory issues that might get aggravated by the dust their vacuum stirs up. Clueless.

Experiencia fantástica: I signed up back in fall of 2015 and have been a happy member since. The sign up was fairly easy and straight forward. The staff was friendly and gave me a tour to help me decide if I wanted to buy the membership. This SamFit has 24/7 access for members, free weights, squat cages, weight machines, bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, stair steppers, a fitness class room, locker rooms, showers, etc. When I first joined they encouraged me to take the free consultation. During the consultation of their fitness specialists asked me my goals and showed me some equipment and exercises to achieve the goals. Since signing up I have used the gym consistently about 1-5x's per week. One last thing. I am able to use my membership anywhere else there is a SamFit, so when the one on the coast is done then it will be good for vacations.

Experiencia positiva: The gym is great. However, the company that takes your money, Paramount, is a nightmare to deal with. I just had to pay $100 in fees due to errors. I'll be making sure that my account is canceled.
