Experiencia fantástica: This is a great facility. The staff are always kind and welcoming, there are tons of machines and weights, and the teachers offer challenging classes as well as encouragement. They've been really accommodating with my membership as I've been dealing with health problems, which is really appreciated!

Experiencia negativa: Super crowded! I'm happy to see that that business is good for SLV sports and wellness, but it sucks for me. I don't like crowds. Everytime I go there it seems more crowded than the last time. Its even crowded at 5am. And the main reason I go there is to use to steam room. The steam room is not accessible during unstaffed hours. No steam room Saturday afternoon or Sundays. Used to be a steam room available 24/7. Good price, adequate facilities. But if you don't like crowds or inconvenient sauna/steam room access you might want to pass on SLV Sports and Wellness.

Experiencia negativa: Owner just cares about money and screwing people over. I got a Pulmonary Embolism in June and was unable to work and have been ill on and off since. I have asked to please not be charged and owner is threatening to send me to collections and is making me pay for a gym membership im unable to use due to my health. Plus the gym is always busy I’ve even been stared at inappropriately by men many many times. I was so uncomfortable going I could only go late at night/ or day time when there was nobody there. sad with my experience and will never go back. Monte Vista Athletic Club is 100000/10 Best gym in the valley!!!! I’ve been treated so well by them go to them instead they won’t threaten you with collections and you can work out in peace.

Experiencia fantástica: I was a member of SLV Fitness for about two years before switching to another local gym primarily due to its larger network which I needed as I travel more and more out of town. During my two years here I was very impressed with this gym both the cleanliness, equipment, and staff. It has a full range of resistance machines, stand-alone weights, and cardio equipment. They keep the place at a comfortably cool temperature. Lots of space and room. Versus other standard gyms SLV Fitness didn't charge a yearly up keep or maintenance fee yet often has the most up-to-date treadmills in the valley (think Wifi enabled treadmills that allow you to connect to your personal Netflix, Spotify, YouTube or go on virtual scenic runs). The owners periodically replaced old equipment with new ones. Rarely was any equipment out of commission for very long if it needed repair. It's the only gym in the area I'm aware of that gives members access to a hot tub, steam room and dry sauna. Staff was great, especially Raven! Overall a top choice for a solid gym owned by locals who support the community.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to work out. Staff (Raven) is excellent! Very clean and updated facility. 24 hour access makes it easy to still work out, even on holidays when they are closed. Owners are very friendly and take the time to ask how you are doing.

Experiencia fantástica: Recently purchased property in Alamosa and had to find a local gym while we are here getting things squared away. As regular gym rats, we are pretty selective about what gyms get our seal of approval. This gym has it hands down. The staff is on top of things, the facilities are exactly what we look for in a gym....plenty of benches, bars and plates, machines. No pretention and plenty of room. We love this place!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is very nice. We usually just swim, I haven't used a lot of the equipment yet but they have quite a bit. The place is always clean and I appreciate the day care. My kids and I always feel comfortable here. I think the price is pretty low, considering that it includes the classes they offer. I wish the pool was open 24 hours but overall I really like this place.

Experiencia positiva: The best gym in Alamosa with a decent class selection. The childcare hours are not all day, but once you figure out the schedule it works well for a busy family. I would love more yoga on the schedule.
