Experiencia negativa: I’d be super interested in signing up, but the website isn’t working. When we go to “sign up” it says Dallas location is still coming soon. There’s no information on membership pricing on your website. I’m not calling, texting, visiting, or providing an email to a gym JUST to find out pricing. You could have an immediate new client if the website was more transparent.

Equipment-wise, they even have some specialty machines like a Pendulum Squat and Belt Squat, which is unusual in many local gyms. Friendly, supportive staff/trainer environment. Experiencia negativa: Absolutely unacceptable behavior from gym management — avoid this place at all costs. I was in the locker room last night at 8:03 pm, calmly packing up my things, when the GM, Kim, stormed in aggressively and started shouting at me to “get out” — as if I were trespassing or causing a scene. I told him, “I’m packing up right now, almost done.” But instead of showing basic human decency, he escalated, yelling: “No, you need to get out right now!” “You’re the only one here!” “Do you want to be a member here?” Shocked by his tone, I responded, “You see me putting my stuff in my bag and putting my shoes on — what’s your problem, dude?” But Kim continued berating me in a loud, confrontational voice: “You need to get out right now.” “You can’t be a member here if you do this.” “Insurance says no one can be here after 8 PM.” I was already walking out — maybe a minute after it started — and tried to speak with him calmly outside to express that his tone and behavior were completely inappropriate. He cut me off again, yelling, “No, you need to get out, I have work to do.” No apology, no professionalism — just raw, hostile disrespect. This was, without exaggeration, the most infuriating and humiliating experience I’ve ever had with any business. I’ve been a loyal member for over 3 years, but ever since Kim took over nearly 2 years ago, it’s been clear he has no interest in treating people with respect — especially not Black men like myself. He walks around the facility with a toxic mix of arrogance and entitlement, smiling and chatting up certain members while acting irritated and dismissive toward others. The racial undertones are not subtle. I’ve kept quiet for too long because the gym itself met my fitness needs, but this level of unprovoked aggression and disrespect crosses a line. It's a disgrace to the previous management, who ran the gym with fairness and professionalism. Now? It’s like the place is run by an impulsive, power-tripping child. And let’s be clear: there is no legitimate insurance policy that justifies screaming at a paying customer who is calmly exiting the locker room three minutes after closing. That’s not policy — that’s ego and hostility on full display. If you value respect, fairness, or basic human decency, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. This place is toxic under current management, and frankly, Kim is a liability to this business and a danger to its reputation.
Experiencia positiva: This was the only gym I could find South of Destination that was worth the price. The second day the owner was kind of c wordish about me wearing Crocs. Not a big deal, he may not have meant it to come off that way, but it was still a rude thing to do when I had no way of knowing he hated Crocs. Kind of killed my interest in going since it was forty minutes away so I only went a handful of times. When I wanted to cancel I found out they make you pay to send a certified letter before they will let you, during which time they charged me again. So if I was closer I'd probably still be going here, but the owner could also dial back the sassy frat kid energy. Still a solid gym.

First, regarding footwear—we do allow Crocs in the gym as long as they have a back strap. This policy isn’t about personal preference; it’s about safety. Sandals or Crocs without a backstrap can easily slip off during exercise, which poses a risk not only to you but to those around you. As a gym, we have a responsibility to minimize any potential for injury or liability, and proper footwear is part of that.
Second, I took a look through our system and we don’t have any record of a membership under your name. If you’d like to reach out to us directly, we’d be happy to look into the matter further and ensure everything was handled properly on our end, including any cancellation or billing concerns.

Experiencia negativa: Whatever you do don’t attend this gym. The cancellation policy is horrible. Every time I call they come up with an excuse or say that an employee is no longer working there. Kim Santos the GM does not care about anyone. She says she understands but won’t help. Overall terrible staff.

Experiencia positiva: The gym has top-notch equipment and offers a great variety of options for every muscle workout. However, I hope they fix their treadmills soon—only two are currently working, and one of them has stopped intermittently on me twice, nearly causing a knee injury.

We really appreciate the kind words about our gym and equipment variety — that means a lot. You’re absolutely right about the treadmills, and we want to be transparent about the situation.
A recent lightning strike caused a major power surge that damaged several electrical systems throughout the building, including our cardio equipment. Unfortunately, we’re currently tied up in an insurance claim process, and the carrier has advised that we not make major changes until everything is assessed.
We’ve also been told that full resolution may require rewiring large sections of the facility — and until that’s addressed, replacing damaged machines could risk ruining the new equipment too. We’re doing everything in our power to resolve this as quickly and safely as possible.

Experiencia fantástica: Needed a gym, visiting from Houston, found this one on Apple Maps, beautiful 10:00pm cheat day. Had all the machines I needed to get a great pump.
Experiencia negativa: Do not join this gym. I was a member for over a year and half and I had to end my membership due to health reasons. I have tried to cancel three times. They refused to cancel my membership because I have a so called balance, but I have not stepped foot in the facilities since May 2024. The gym was going down when I ended up leaving; broken machines for weeks, no towels (I had to start bringing my own towels. My trainer doesn’t even train clients there anymore because of how shady the ownership is. There are so many more options in the area that treat members with respectfully. I do not mind paying for services but I am not longer using these services/facilities. Even the folks I used to train with no longer are members because of how terribly this gym is ran. These positive reviews probably are incentive/rebate driven. I have contacted my attorney and I have already written to the Texas Attorney General.
We take all member concerns seriously, but we are unable to verify your membership or account details based on this review. Our cancellation policy, which is clearly outlined in the membership agreement, requires a 30-day written notice via email or certified mail. Simply not attending does not automatically cancel a membership.
If your membership was under an annual agreement, any remaining balance would still be due per the terms of the contract. We strive to apply our policies fairly and consistently for all members. Jay at the front desk is the GOAT, and Jaden the trainer is incredibly informative and helpful. While the price is higher, it’s worth it for the clean, polished environment and the fact that it’s never overcrowded. Some machines could use maintenance or replacement, but it’s a minor issue compared to how much better it is than my previous commercial gym, which felt hostile and uncomfortable. Overall, I’m very happy here.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid this gym at all costs! I had a terrible experience with their contract practices. Despite following the proper steps to cancel my membership, they kept charging me month after month. Their contracts are misleading, and it seems like they deliberately make it hard for customers to leave. Be very careful about signing anything here, or better yet, take your business to a gym that values honesty and customer service.

Experiencia negativa: Do not join this gym. It was great years ago when it was extreme iron. Now it’s dirty. Most of the machines are ripped. None of the benches have wheels and the management could care less. I am disabled that I am legally blind and cannot drive. Due to unfortunate circumstance I have to move and as soon as I ask the management how I can get out of my contract, they began ignoring me. I am moving to McKinney, and there is no way I can Uber back-and-forth to this gym and they will not return my phone calls or my emails. They will not address the fact that the equipment is dirty or not maintain either. It is not worth the money and $10 a month. You can get one at Crunch with brand new equipment.
