Experiencia negativa: My sons are enrolled in swim class here, keep in mind the classes are only half an hour long. It is unfair to my children that they start the classes late but end them at 5:15 on the dot. They have one instructor per group which is fine but most of the time the instructors are talking amongst each other and don't pay attention the students at all, or they are hyper focused on one child only. It isn't fair that we're paying good money to have our children not being taught to improve their skills. Something needs to change.

Experiencia positiva: I went there to ref some NEDSRA basketball games. I believe everyone should find the time one day to cheer on those athletes.

Experiencia negativa: Club Fitness has arbitrarily discontinued the week pass option, which was always ideal for those of us coming in to visit family for the holidays.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a great facility with a pool, sauna, gym, track, steam room, And lots of activities for everyone. It's also really cheap. I don't know the exact rates but as a senior I pay under $250 for the whole year. It's always really clean, too.

What used to be a welcoming and functional environment has recently taken a sharp turn for the worse—thanks to new staff and policies that seem designed to frustrate, not support, the members who keep this place running. Let’s start with the new “no gym bags” rule. According to staff, bags are now a hazard. So if you’re someone recovering from injury, under medical supervision, or simply need specialized equipment (like I do), you’re expected to carry it all in your arms. No accommodations, no flexibility. Just rigid rules that make no practical sense. Then there’s “The Pit”—the best-equipped area in the facility, now closed off to the public for most of the day. If your schedule doesn’t perfectly align with their narrow, inconvenient hours, tough luck. You’re paying for a membership that includes amenities you can’t access. And the staff? Two older men (both appearing 60+) who man the PT desk upstairs consistently behave with condescension and hostility. One of them, pictured here, saw fit to raise his voice at me and jab his finger in my face—over a simple question. I wasn’t breaking rules. I wasn’t being disrespectful. I was just a paying member expecting to be treated like one. This isn’t about one incident. It’s about a culture shift—a clear lack of respect for members, and a growing gap between the service promised and the service delivered. Until this place remembers who it’s here to serve, I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone. The current experience is frustrating, limiting, and frankly, insulting.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been coming here for 12+ years and have been a staunch defender of Centennial against the many new gyms that have popped up around the area. Now, I believe they’re simply outclassed and stuck in the past. On top of that, I find it ridiculous that each person is only allowed one towel. These towels are small and the fabric is very old. They can spend tens of thousands of dollars on renovations this year, but have to cut back on the amount of towels people can use? All I want after my workout is to use the steam room. I’d prefer to use one towel to cover myself against the dirty bacteria of the steam room and one towel to shower afterwards. Is that too hard to ask? Many more examples of other gyms adapting to more modern fitness club standards. Simply outclassed and they’ve lost a 12+ year member for good.

Unfortunately, the improvement project that has closed the pool is weeks overdue and with no updates on their website in nearly a month. They stay out of the one-star category with their friendly atmosphere and nice indoor track. However, depending on your needs, you can probably do better.

Experiencia fantástica: They've got incredibly nice equipment in their gym, machines that are tough to find elsewhere. The running track on the outer perimeter makes for a great use of space, and the pool is wonderful. I wish I lived closer.

Experiencia fantástica: The indoor track I like. You can walk, run, plenty of windows to view the outside usually not crowded. The second floor is great to view the open grass areas and many summer organized activities to see for several blocks

Experiencia negativa: Needs alot of cleaning starting with vacuuming and then mopping. Also arrangement of equipment does not fulfill safety requirements. People using equipment need an orientation of the fitness floor.

Experiencia fantástica: Very happy with my local park district. They accept my Aetna insurance wellness plan. The instructors for the fitness classes have been there awhile and are experienced and very good and motivating. They have Athletico physical therapy in the building. Many machines to pick from and a walking track. Very fortunate to have this is our town.

Experiencia negativa: First time member and I'm already disappointed. When you pay for a membership you can only hope you are getting the benefits you paid for. One of which the monitors attached to the equipment and the TV's hanging on the wall - not one that I tried has audio that works. One of the employees tried to help but not successful. So sad.

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice facility with fitness centers, pool, gym, and outdoor areas. I use the weight are mainly. It's generally clean and not over busy during the day. Most people are here to work out, it's not a place to be single and mingle. Not as much equipment as larger facilities but since there aren't groups of people hanging out on one machine the equipment is usually easy to use.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing facility. The PIT is my favorite part of the facility. No other facility has a regular gym AND a true cross-training gym.. 2 gyms, pool, steam room, suama, and a gymnasium all for the such a cheap price.. I can't believe anyone goes anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Been to this place a lot the young staff is very nice but that old lady with glasses is very rude and gave me attitude when I was trying to go to the open gym they had and told me that I needed to be 18 and over just to play some basketball after I had asked when did you have to be 18 to get into the open gym she gave me a horrible attitude saying you’ve always had to be over 18. This was the first time I was ever informed about this.

Experiencia positiva: I was hoping the sauna and steam room were open but they aren’t right now, however for good reason it’s not open the kids they hire there and I mean kids they all look young as heck hardly ever cleaned the steam rooms before Covid I couldn’t even imagine how nasty the room would Be right now, I’m pretty sure they know with the staff they hire that it’s better they close that room, also most the time people are on thier phones and not working at this place, quite a shame.

Experiencia positiva: Decent gym. Lots of machines, if you're into that, good amount of free weights. Disappointed with the kettlebell selection. When I signed up, I didn't receive a tour of the facility. I had to ask workers about the fitness room and where to locate specific equipment. Also, had no idea where to locate restrooms.

Experiencia negativa: This place is awful. Staff is unprofessional. They have no manners and don't know how to communicate with members. I would never recommend this gyn to anyone. Take your business to a legit gym. This place is not worth your money.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been lifting weight here since 2010. Best park district gym around. They have everything you need. Dumbbells to 110lb, free weights, squat racks, ellipticals, treadmills, stair master, etc... It also never gets too crowded.

Experiencia fantástica: Stair master, Jacobs Ladder, ellipticals, treads, bikes, and unusual cardio machines. A track, hanging ropes, resistance bands, tons of kettle bells, decent free weight section, pool. Very clean, well lite, and uncrowded. I’m just visiting but am so impressed.

And that's a long time!! All the managers are extremely helpful and are always smiling and are very welcoming! Highly recommend, will be bringing my grand kids!

Experiencia fantástica: Over all very nice gym. Decent amount of free weights. Good amount of cardio machines and machine weights. Pool,sauna, jacuzzi. But lately the jacuzzi not hot enough it's been luke warm. Free towel service. A little pricey but worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: Generally empty so not too much traffic of people in your way. Like a mini lifetime fitness with steam room, sauna, Olympic pool, and whirlpool.

Experiencia fantástica: The P.I.T. program at APDCF is exactly what I needed to jump start my New Year. After (mostly) blowing off the gym for over a year, I finally came back. Within a few short weeks, I already see results. They let me adapt their no-nonsense, practical training program to my ability level and the work fits easily into my schedule.The community is supportive and the trainer clearly knows his stuff. Totally worth a try.
