Fantastic experience: After years of active use and abuse to my body, at 32 years old, I was waking up with low-grade chronic pain nearly everyday (especially my shoulders, legs and feet). This was self-inflicted due naivete, an old boxing injury, years of training in contortion, and a yogic asana background. I came to Sage Fitness seeking solutions and found Danny S., one of the most skilled, practical, and compassionate fitness trainers. Danny utilizes a specific system called Functional Patterns (FP). His training methodology is more like physical rehab than training, which will teach you and your body new patterns of movement that are rehabilitative, functional, and safe. In working with Danny and FP, so many of my imbalances have been illuminated. I am shown how my previous training and conditioning has informed the way I move and hold my body in space. In each session, I am taught how to rectify those imbalances through different types of muscle release and re-activation. I'm able to see changes in my posture immediately after each session (with before and after shots at each session), I'm experiencing significantly less pain on a regular basis and getting stronger in places that were always difficult for me to access alone. As a client of his, I couldn't be more pleased with my recovery thus far. As a practitioner of pain management and an acupuncturist in the local neighborhood, I've sent several patients to work with him. Each and every single one of them has seen dramatic improvements to their mobility and overall quality of life. The combination of Functional Patterns and acupuncture have been paramount to the resolution of pain for so many of my patients. I couldn't recommend working with Danny enough! If you're serious about getting to the root of your pain and movement imbalances, this is the place to begin! Photo: Left is before session, right is after the same session was over. Both are taken in neutral, relaxed positions with no muscle activation. The right shoulder has been my problematic side. You can see in the after shot, the humeral head of my shoulder and elbow are positioned more in alignment with my head and neck. You can also see more transverse abdominal activation and my chest is more naturally elevated. Left feeling great after this session.

Fantastic experience: Sage Fitness has the best fitness model in the industry. Even for a 'fish out of water" the workouts are intense but when you realize they're not impossible, it motivates you to keep coming back. Thank you Jasmine, Mackenzie, Danny & Mario for your excellent coaching, constant correction for proper form & modifications that set your clients up for success!
Fantastic experience: What makes sage different than other gyms is the quality of coaches and the community here. I’ve tried many gyms and studios since moving into queens and Sage is hands down the only one I’ve seen real life changing results from. The trainers here are so on it by always challenging you with the workouts, or educating on good form and how to improve. Classes feel like 1:1 with how attentive all the coaches are. As for community, everyone supports and pushes each other when you’re at sage, it’s the best atmosphere on both your good and bad/tired days (we all have them). No gimmicks here, they just get right to the point of why everyone is there- to improve and feel great!
Fantastic experience: I've tried a few different gyms in the area over the years and Sage has been where I've seen the best results. The staff and trainers focus on classes or personal trainer sessions so you get a lot of personalized attention to help you meet your goals. Everyone there is friendly and encouraging and there is a sense of community that I haven't seen elsewhere. I've lost 40 pounds in about 5 months and couldn't be happier with my time spent here.
