Fantastic experience: The best family gym around with a friendly staff! There's a lot of different exercising equipment and plenty of fun classes to participate in.

Fantastic experience: JCC has the best day care center in York, PA. I am reviewing only their day care and probably pool as I did not use any other facility. Day Care: Gan Tamar (Early Childhood Learning Center) JCC has JCC has been integral part of my family since 2016. Both my kids have used 3 years of day care services. The day for the kids is always planned where they learn in the morning hours and free play time after 3 hours of lunch + nap time. Swimming once a week is part of the activities for kids starting from 2-3s class up to 4-5s which is the last year of day care. Gross Motor Skills, Reading, coloring, building projects with hands, water play, sand play, slide, spider webs, bikes with no paddles. Last but not the least the teachers. They have one of the best teachers who are pushing parents to send kids on time in mornings even when its not necessary so that kids can be part of all morning learning activities. When I had to deal with the kids at home for the whole day in COVID times, the respect for teachers increased exponentially as I only heard the words of encouragement focusing on solutions and not the problems. Swimming Pool: I have had awesome memories at the pool with my kids. There are limited hours for open pool area where I can play with kids and the pool is little dated but it has always been fun. It is going through renovations for last 4 months now and I cannot wait to use it again when it is up and running. There is always a Lifeguard at the pool. The fee every month is 79 dollars for a family of 4 which I get refunded back as my kid is in day care so I pretty much get everything JCC has for free. I think its a good deal with even 79/month as other nicer clubs in York would cost many hundred dollars monthly to enter with a hefty initiation fee.

Positive experience: The Jewish Community Center in York provides opportunities for many different activities. For individuals in many different age groups. It helps support the senior community in York with a senior center. It has swimming pool. It has areas for working out. The people there are very friendly and helpful. They're open 7 days a week. All in all a great Community Center.

Fantastic experience: Huge, clean facility! Great family environment. Child care is wonderful and the fitness center is the best I've been to in a long time.

Positive experience: Overall JCC has a lot to offer at their facility. They have a few things that are their weak points, as follows, which warrants them a 3 star rating. 1.) Their pool is outdated and feels a bit old an warn down. 2.) Their gym is used by too many people and is not open to play basketball at any time. They have a daycare service who use their gym, some fitness classes and they rent it out. They really need to find another room for these activities. 3.) Their weekend hours are limited. The gym is only open until 6:30 on Friday and 5:30 on Saturday. I find that to be unusual schedule for a gym and difficult to work around my schedule. 4.) A minor thing: They have an upstairs workout area with no airflow or fans. It gets crazy hot in this area when you are working out. They could easily add fans to control the temperature better. I am currently a member, but these issues will cause me to look at other gyms in the future.
