EKU Student Recreation Center

Positive experience: The facility is beautiful, love the equipment and how spacious it is. But the parking is terrible and the hours are awful, they are constantly changing them. They’ll close early without notice. I understand there’s less students on campus during breaks but the hours make it near impossible for the people who work 8-5 to get a good workout in. They also recently upped the prices to $45 a month, if you’re going to do that, you need better hours.

Fantastic experience: The location is very convenient for EKU students. There's a pretty good selection of equipment, though the place is usually pretty busy these days. They do have an advantage over a regular gym in that they have basketball courts, a pool, racquetball courts, a climbing wall, etc. But as far as straight gym equipment goes, it's just about as good as any regular local gym. Overall, it's a good experience if you're already paying for it by being an EKU student.

Fantastic experience: I do the cross fit class with Allison on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I love it !!! It's an amazing class with an amazing instructor!! The facility itself is practically brand new with just about anything you could think of to work out with and there is a lot of options as far as group fitness classes go as well.

Fantastic experience: Very nice rec. Their pool and hot water spa are amazing. Their exercise equipment is all modern and kept clean. I spent the summer on campus and even debated applying to EKU just to enjoy their rec.
