Hood River Sportsman Club

Fantastic experience: Really warm and friendly group of people. This club has been in Hood River over 100 years! I went to inquire about learning to shoot trap during covid and was met with friendly people excited to meet someone new. They have an amazing history of stewardship of the land / river / and area surrounding the club. They are only open Fridays - and keep strict rules and policies on safety. I see some complaints about “gunfire after 9pm” and that is true, as the closing time is 10pm and legal quiet hours begin at 10pm for the county. They always are good at stopping the trap shootong on the lighted course on time and have strict rules for members. If anyone has complained - it is likely they are unaware that this establishment has been in hood river longer than most realize — and that the rules set by the county allow operation until 10pm
