Positive experience: I go 3 time a week. Clean and every station has desinfecting wipees. I love the walking track.

Fantastic experience: Great environment, it's clean and has all the equipment. There is also a pool, punching bag ,and my favorite -the indoor track. The staff is also great, very pleasant and welcoming. It's a clean place, with a tranquil tone. I have been a patron for several years ,and I have never regretted my membership.

Fantastic experience: Everyone in Charlotte seems to love the Dowd YMCA, but I'd like to offer that Childress Klein is one of the Y's best kept secrets. Maybe it's because it's in an office building in uptown, and that scares people away, but the parking is free via parking validation, and the elevator literally takes you from the garage to the front door of the Y. The equipment is great, clean and the A/C is usually nice and cool, as opposed to the Sweaty Dowd. Never have to wait for the equipment I need as it's rarely busy. Definitely prefer CK over Dowd in the uptown area!
