Harrisonville Parks & Recreation: Opinions
Positive experience: I have had a membership for almost two years. I love The facilities and the staff are always helpful. I normally swim early in the morning. Lately, due to lifeguard shortages the pool has been closed quite frequently. I understand this is a problem for a lot of businesses now. My thinking is why not come up with another policy that would help your members. Today I called and said since the pool is closed can I use my pass to the outdoor pool? The answer was “no, they are separate entities.” I understand they are separate, yet they are both owned by the City of Harrisonville. If the city allowed members to use the outside pool, when and only when the indoor pool is closed, I feel like that would be a helpful solution to the lifeguard problem. In Today’s situation the pool was closed this morning. And then this afternoon the heater went out and the water is very cold. So, let me go to the outdoor pool instead. Seems to be a solution to me. Here we are a week later and still no pool, and no solution. Do I get a refund for my month?
Positive experience: I was genuinely surprised to find a facility this nice, and this extensive, in Harrisonville, which has a population right around 10k souls. There is an upstairs walking track, an indoor pool, a sauna and plenty of (brand new) workout machines on the main floor. You'll also find a pool table, some meeting or gathering rooms, and more workout machines upstairs. The women's locker room is clean, spacious and has convenient features such as a swimsuit spinner. Unfortunately, their fitness class offerings are limited and seems to occur only in the early mornings and evenings at the time of this writing. Still, for a small town community center, this is a good facility. Nice staff!
Positive experience: The only reason I’m giving this three stars is because I’ve been told since January they were going to replace and now it’s repair the sauna. The gym is exceptionally clean and Equipment super nice. But the runaround I’m getting over the sauna is pretty frustrating. I came to this gym specifically for the infrared sauna. Can’t can’t get the same answer twice for replacement or repairs.
