VITAL Climbing Gym - Brooklyn

Fantastic experience: I love VITAL! The people who work there are very friendly, and not intimidating like other gyms even in spin classes. I appreciate that it’s a climbing gym with yoga & other classes (even aerial yoga!) included in the monthly membership so I’ve been able to try new things, and they have yoga mats, climbing shoes, etc all for rent. The teachers are amazing. The climbing is the best because the gym is huge and has many skill levels indoors and outdoors / 2 story. There’s a ‘normal’ part of the gym as well for weightlifting and treadmills, etc. I’ve struggled with finding a gym I like going to my whole life… and I finally found VITAL (now I’m motivated to go 5-6 times a week)!

Positive experience: This gym is the biggest and coolest VITAL ever! But you guys have wasted so much space for example near the kids play area there’s an entire wall without rocks plus the ceilings are super high so you could add another floor. Also the roofs padding is not soft forcing you to down climb and if you slip it will hurt. Not only that but a lot of rock climbers like to belay so use your high walls to the advantage, also I think it’s unfair that the classes are 13+ when my kid climbs V6’s so I think it should be by skill, not age like making skill groups.

Fantastic experience: Amazing climbing gym. Route setters did a great job. Best one I've traveled to so far [Timestamp: June 2022] The rooftop boulder+sauna was awesome. They also offer other many classes and other types of activities such as spin class, yoga, etc. Definitely a must go if you are in NY.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym ! Its ideally located with a lot of options and the staff is super friendly. Its really worth the price. Something to improve? More yoga classes please !
