Sportsclub Express Simpsonville

Positive experience: It's a great gym. With that area growing like it is, this is the only gym I could get a workout in at. They have a good free weight setup, but all of the equipment is a lot older. That didn't bother me until equipment would routinely not work. And they didn't have enough plates so if one or two people were realllyyy using some weights, you were stuck hunting for plates. Other than old equipment and not enough plates, it was a great gym and had great people there. I will miss it.

Positive experience: Great gym well maintained. Would be five stars if not for the hours of operation. They are barely passable in modern day society where 1/3 of the population works third shift. Their hours were clearly chosen by someone elderly. The most frustrating part is how they will find any excuse to close early. I think they would probably close at 1pm for national potato day. Its pretty blind of them to not realize that when most folks are off work they may want to come get a work out in. Is it really that difficult to find a college kid to run check in on a holiday?

Fantastic experience: I needed a personal trainer for my son (wanting to play high school baseball) who has never done any formal workout or been in a gym....The welcome to Sportsclub all started with Wendy who assisted with Membership, and I interacted with Sarah (their customer service was phenomenal). I must say my son's trainer is Jay Brown....Down to earth, friendly and very knowledgeable. When he gives him instructions, he explains the reasons for each workout. I highly recommend him as your fitness/sports trainer. I would give 10 stars if it was allowed
