West Coast Strength: Opinions
Fantastic experience: You want a gym? not what we are used to in Salem? This is your gym. Been a gym rat for 25+ years and I was pumped just getting in there, pumped like the first time u workout in hs at the school gym. The energy can be felt, the machines are packed in as much as can safely be done. Dumb bells a plenty, attachments a plenty, and plenty of weights (no more searching of two of 3 5 pound plates that are at a gym). If u want to feel excited about not just working out but even just being in the gym you got to check this place out
Fantastic experience: Been coming here for months, I’ve say it all the time.. I recommend this gym to anybody ,this gym is a TRUE judge free. We all help eachother. We’re a family, and that’s what I love, staff is the best and nicest, flashes are sick, gym is always clean and smells good. Is I go give this place 100 starts I would.
Fantastic experience: When I signed up for my membership they offered me two free training sessions, I took them up on the offer and was trained by Cody. He was super attentive to what I was wanting and even though I didn’t want more than the free training, he still taught me as if I was paying him. I left the training with some exercises and stretches that will carry me into my goals much smoother. Thanks Cody!
Fantastic experience: This gym is amazing! The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable and they even ask how your day is! The atmosphere is by far the best, and everyone there including the members that go there are super approachable and friendly, and you feel at home. They have the best selection of supplements there, as well as really nice apparel there too! Highly recommend this gym!
Fantastic experience: This is an awesome gym. There's a review buried in these reviews that implies something about the personal trainers and since that implication made me pause before joining, I want to address it (ONLY from my limited perspective! I'm not denying someone's lived experience!). Yes, the personal trainers use physical cues with some of the clients. I've watched the training sessions on multiple occasions now while I worked out. Having been a personal training client myself for nearly two years, nothing I saw made me pause even momentarily. Physical cuing is a powerful tool and honestly, it's needed at times if the client simply cannot understand the verbal cues you are giving. A personal trainer seeing improper form and deciding "Oh well, close enough" instead of addressing it by every means possible isn't a personal trainer you want around. I've seen these physical cues used with people presenting as both male and female genders. As a rule, people socialized female in this culture, tend to engage in more physical touch. For that reason, depending on the information a personal trainer has about a specific client, that trainer may use physical prompting more often on female clients. End of the day, the gym has been great. Friendly staff, clean and well kept equipment, friendly clientele. We go there, we work out hard, we go home. I've recommended it to two people at this point. It's a good experience and I would highly encourage people looking for a well equipped, awesome gym to check it out.
