Fantastic experience: I dropped in for a workout at NorthEast CrossFit when I was visiting my friend Paul in White Plains. The coach that day was Cali. She was awesome! Cali helped me make modifications to accommodate for a prior injury, and I had a great workout!
Fantastic experience: As someone with no prior CrossFit experience, and after taking quite a long hiatus from an exercise regimen in general, I was very nervous to jump into something so physically challenging as CrossFit. I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to keep up in a group fitness setting and I’d just end up embarrassing myself. Let’s face it, trying out a new gym can be a little scary. I can say I’m very happy I decided to jump back into fitness with NorthEast CrossFit! The coaches and the other members have been fantastic and very welcoming. You really do feel like you are part of a community, which helped overcome any hesitations I had. They also start you with three individual coaching sessions that were really helpful in showing you the basics in performing some of the Olympic lifts and exercises that are consistently used in the classes. As for the group fitness, the coaches are great in giving individual direction and help, especially when you are new. All the coaches are knowledgeable and make sure you’re not overdoing it and risking injury by making the exercises scalable to your fitness level. The CrossFit program itself is really efficient and engaging too. You typically start with a warm-up, then strength training and end with some high intensity moves to burn calories. I’ve never had a problem scheduling a class and there’s plenty of options available. The facility itself is big, clean and open. If you’re looking to try something new in the world of fitness, I’d highly recommend NE CrossFit!
