American Martial Arts Gym

Fantastic experience: My 9-year-old daughter wanted to learn Jiu Jitsu, so I looked on google for local gyms. I noticed many gyms had good reviews, so it was still hard to determine which one would be best for her. I began looking up competitions in the area and noticed a trend: AMAG. The coaches are awesome with the kids and my daughter is loving it! I noticed her enjoyment, so I decided to try it myself and so did my wife. As a 43-year-old man that is about 43 lbs. overweight, I did not know what to expect, but I was surprised how quickly I felt a part of the team, which is a feeling that I have not had since high school football. I’m proud to be at AMAG.

Fantastic experience: Amazing, professor James is a fantastic teacher and makes you feel welcome. Teaches you the best techniques and the atmosphere is next level. Highly recommend taking classes here.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this gym going on 4 weeks now and I have to say starting on this journey was the best decision I could have made. Being a woman, I initially went in with hopes of just being able to learn some basic self defense which is in no doubt an attainable goal with this team but I quickly came around to the fact that this can be so much more than that if you want it bad enough. There are so many gyms in the area that it was hard to know which one was the best option. But after meeting the coaches and coming to the first class, it was undeniable that this was THE place to be. Because let’s be honest, If you’re going to do it whether you’re looking to compete or just learn self defense, why would you want to learn from anyone but the best?! These coaches aren't just doing this as their part time job - they live and breath this stuff. Look no further, AMAG is it!

Fantastic experience: GREAT STUDIO & PROFESSIONAL STAFF I heard about this place which was close to where we live in our small town. I took my 4year old for an “orientation” and she absolutely loved it. unfortunately due to scheduling we could not take classes, however I would definitely recommend for anyone in the King George area that’s looking to get their kids into an activity. The staff are very professional and hands-on with the children(which I love) and the parents are very involved as well. Last but not least they’re actually teaching them life skills to defend themselves. Would highly recommend.
