Positive experience: ** EDIT: Called them and the refund was processed in a day. Moved my review up to a 3-star (as this situation should not have happened). Hopefully no further troubles. This is NOT about the facilities. As far as I can tell they’re clean and well maintained. This is about Beam Fitness, who are in charge of the gym membership. When I signed up in mid-Dec, the associate at this location told me I had a free month applied in Jan. Lo and behold, I was still charged the full fee in Jan. When I emailed them to clarify, thinking perhaps things were delayed with the holidays, it took them a week before someone replied saying my free month would be applied in February. Guess who got charged again? That’s right! Will update this review as things progress, but this rate I’m afraid that I will be charged continuously even if I leave Stuytown. What a nightmare!

Positive experience: It's alright. Treadmills, dumbbells, stationary bikes, machines. Clean & not intimidating. For me, it's not big enough—I like some space to do ab workouts.
