Fantastic experience: My husband and i and our kids train at Strive Academy. He encouraged me to come and try jiu jitsu. It has been the best decision ive made, jiu jitsu saved my life, shaped me into a better me. It is such a great environment, good vibes, and you become family here. Wonderful coaches who are the heart of strive. They offer jiu jitsu from ages 4 and up. One week free trial to start , you wont be dissapointed, there is so much to gain. Thank you strive Academy for being so awesome and always encouraging to me and my family. Im so blessed.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have trained at a number of Jiujitsu academies throughout our 15+ years in the Martial Arts. Some not so good, some good, and maybe 1 or 2 very good. But Strive, hands down “takes the cake.” I have never seen my son and 47yo husband so excited and eager to train Jiujitsu. The look in their eyes when they get home from training and the way the talk about their Coach, and the warm, friendly energy they get from their training partners every time they walk into the Academy. I believe Coach Manny, the great art of Jiujitsu and the Strive Family has positively influenced my son’s life in a great way and has also motivated my husband to lead a more active life which has resulted in him going from 215 lbs to 190 lbs! Do I recommend Strive you ask? HECK YEAH!!! At least give them a try and see for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: My daughter trained under Professor Rocha for a year before having to take a hiatus for cancer treatment. It was the best year of her life and she can't wait to get back. Edit: She returned to Strive on May 4th, 2021 and it felt like she was home again. She was welcomed back with open arms, and is hitting the mats as hard as she can as she begins the long road back to getting into fighting shape. Manny and Meredith have been supportive and amazing through the whole experience. This is the place to go if you want exemplary and stellar Jiu Jitsu training, and teachers/teammates who support you and push you to be your best.

Fantastic experience: About a year ago I came in to Strive Academy and met Coach Manny and did a free week trial, Coach Manny and all of the students were very welcoming and helpful, The Academy is a amazing positive environment that has helped me a lot. Coach Manny is a great instructor who will make sure you are understanding what you are being taught. Besides adult classes Strive also has great kids classes as well. The Academy’s bathrooms are clean and have multiple showers and the lobby has nice seating.This Academy is awesome!

Fantastic experience: Originally I was hesitant to join a jiu jitsu school because I have a bad right shoulder that is susceptible to dislocation but when I met Manny he assured me that I could start slow and he would make sure everyone is aware of my injury. Manny made good on his promise and now I enjoy every class. Everyone is super humble and you get a great workout in the process. Thanks Manny!

Fantastic experience: My son turned 5 in October 2017. My husband and I visited many gyms that train in jiu jitsu and Karate. Once we walked into Strive Acadamy the atmosphere was very welcoming so we decided to put our son in the week free trial. We were mainly looking to enroll him in something that will keep him active and teach him discipline with respect to others. To say the least we have not been disappointed. All of the coaches at Strive understand how to work with kids and have extreme patience. They are very understanding when there is that random bad day every toddler has. Xavier has learned so much and his technique is improving every class. As a parent finding a place your child looks forward to going that will help him learn and grow means everything. This gym will definitely not disappoint you!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Strive jiujitsu Academy for almost 2 yrs I've began taking my son and Professor Manny who is a black belt is one of the best coaches that I've been around. Along with the other great coaches at Strive that are purple belts and blueblets . Really tremendous family oriented environment!!!!

Fantastic experience: Knew nothing about bjj, but I was invited by a friend and they gave me a free trial. I’ve learned so much from the coaches and other students. Everyone is kind and helpful. Great way to learn self defense and workout, while also having fun!

Fantastic experience: There isn't enough space to express how amazing this academy has been for me and my family. My son takes the kids jiu jitsu class here and it has been amazing to watch his growth and development since he has been coming. All of the coaches foster a caring environment while pushing each kid to their very best. They understand kids aren't 'one size fits all' and work with each kid to the best of their ability. All the other kids are encouraging and are great role models for the younger children as well. I train in the adult classes and can't recommend this place enough as a place to train striking and jiu jitsu. The coaches are fantastic, the teammates are welcoming and helpful, no one will ever make you feel out of place here! And they do a 1 week trial for anyone who wants to start!

Fantastic experience: I just turned 50 years old and I've been training here for the past couple of years. Mr. Manny Rocha is not just an expert at his craft, but an incredibly kind and respectful person. He is always mindful to keep my limitations in mind, but always there to push me a little more when I need that too. And the instructors under his leadership are wonderful people and practitioners as well. Never once have I had any sort of run in with any other students either.... It's respect all the way, all the time. And it's not just BJJ, or boxing, or MMA... if you just want to drop a few pounds, or get into shape, this place has everything you need to get the job done. It won't be easy, but with their direction, guidance, and support, you can do it. If you are 5 or 55, this is the spot for you. I love this place, and love the people.

Fantastic experience: We signed our kids up for kids jiu jitsu class and just love the instruction the coaches give. They really want the kids to show respect to them as well as other students. The kids have fun and look forward to going to class. They have learned so much and have gained self confidence and technique. If your looking for a school in or near lodi i can tell you the kids will enjoy this place and make lots of new friends.
