Sproing Fitness: Opinions
Positive experience: I'll start by saying I've never done a workout like this one before! A friend recommended I try Sproing since I had a sprain in my right foot from running my last half marathon. This workout is suppose to be low-impact but still high intensity interval training. The facility is very clean, bright and they really like the color orange. I checked in with Paul, the creator of Sproing and he gave me a heart rate monitor to wear during the workout to track my progress. Everyone in the class must wear one as there are monitors in the room displaying everyone's heart rate and intensity. Should you join Sproing it's required to have your own monitor, to consistently track your progress. Just be aware of that additional investment. The equipment looks like a treadmill but it's actually a soft cushion surface which varies from firm cushion to almost running on what feels like sand. You wear a belt around your waist the entire class which was something to get used to and there are resistance bands to use as well. The belt allows you to lean forward while running to focus landing on your toes which is form all runners try to improve. There were also times you turn around and jog leaning backwards which uses different muscles than you would normally. This SproingHIIT class led by Jennifer included running sprints; four sets for 20 seconds, followed by resistant band combination and running again. I know I had a great workout but pushed myself too much as my right foot felt a dull ache afterwards. I was told it takes 2-3 classes to understand how Sproing works and get your body adjusted to doing the workout on the machines. I'm willing to try it again since it was a great total body workout. The Best of Sproing Sport: -machines work to improve running form -monitor your pace and progress during the workout -friendly staff
Positive experience: I tried Sproing last week for the first time. It's a good workout and you'll sweat a lot! Sproing is basically like a padded/bouncy platform to replace a treadmill in order to be low-impact, high intensity. The studio is pretty new and the facilities are really nice. They provide you with free towels and water. The reason I don't give Sproing a 5 is the instructor did not spend time correcting anyone's form, the entire workout was tabata style with no real rests in 45 minutes and I felt the movements could have been mixed up more. It would be nice to leave the platform or use weights instead of bands.
Fantastic experience: Happened to come across Hustle Fitness and signed up on a whim. Best decision. Super friendly, and yet incredibly motivating. Clear workouts, with instruction. The people were great, the facility was clean and had great equipment. I will definitely return when I am in town again! Would highly recommend if your a local!
Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly and welcoming and are all role models as they work harder than anyone.
Fantastic experience: I tried Sproing because I'm not a big fan of treadmills and I wanted a workout that would prevent me from causing any more injuries on my knees. When I first tried the workout I was intrigued by the soft surface, because I'd never experience running like that. You actually hook into the machine with a Velcro strap that you wrap around your waist and fall forward! The machine has TRX straps on the sides and can be used to do a variety of strength and core building exercises. As a former OrangeTheory member, I was use to the High Intensity Interval Training portion of the class, but the machine itself was very unique. It has an air cushion that you can adjust to increase the difficult of your workout! They have a heart rate monitor system that shows you the results of your workout much like OrangeTheory but overall the workout is really amazing! It is definitely intense! I recently tried their beach surface which allowed me to burn over 800 calories and really challenged me to utilize muscles in my legs, calves and feet that I don't often use during regular workouts. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming! I would definitely recommend Sproing to anyone looking for a quality low impact muscle taxing workout that will leave you feeling energized and invigorated! Proud to be apart of the Sproing Family :)
Fantastic experience: Exciting
Fantastic experience: Great class, great experience. Very interesting new concept, that makes cardio fun! Paul, thanks for letting us join in. Carla, thanks for a great class!! Can't wait for Sproing to come to our area!
Fantastic experience: I love running and ran cross country in high school. When I started having problems with my knees I had to stop running for a while. A coworker recommended I try sproing. I tried out the complimentary week of classes and LOVED it. It gives me all the benefits of running without the knee problems. Plus the classes are a TON of fun. Since that first week I’ve tried out all the instructors and have loved them all. They’re upbeat and push you as hard as you want. They always have a really great playlist too. If you’re looking for a great workout then this is the place to go. 10/10 would recommend.
Fantastic experience: One of the best workout I have ever had!
Fantastic experience: Just did a workout here, great experience! 750+ calories burned in 45 mins. Have a bad knee and haven't been able to run for cardio for years - but I felt absolutely no pain doing this workout. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic experience: Great place to get a really awesome workout! The machines are designed with soft surfances, so if you're prone to injuries, this is a great place for you! Even if you just want a tough high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, you will get that here!! The instructors are high-energy and the staff is very friendly. The space is very clean and welcoming, and their bathrooms are stocked with amenities and showers.
