Arthur Jordan Branch YMCA

Fantastic experience: I recently relocated to Indianapolis, and I was quite pleased to find that there were several YMCAs scattered about Indianapolis and its suburbs. The one that I'm most familiar with is the Jordan YMCA, since it's the one I go to regularly. It has just about everything I could want in a gym from great machines in excellent condition, to a really clean establishment, to amazing, caring staff.

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and the equipment is nice; no wait time for machines when I've been there. Looking forward to taking some fitness classes.

Fantastic experience: We are big fans of the Jordan Y, particularly the Play & Learn staff. Kat, and the rest of the team are excellent. They are better with kids than most daycares in my experience. All of the Jordan Y staff are warm and friendly, making it a place you want to spend your time.

Fantastic experience: We have had an excellent experience with swimming lessons with Haylee for the past 5-6 months for a 9 year old and two 11 year olds.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend the Jordan Y more strongly. The early learning program is affordable and offers so much! It is such a supportive and positive community for our family. The drop off child care is also incredibly affordable and it has been a lifesaver for me as a new grad student and working mom.

Fantastic experience: Our first year of membership has been great. Whenever we are in town at least one of our family is at the Y every single week.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of the Jordan Y since the mid-70's. Love the outdoor 50 meter pool. The exercise and weight facility is first rate. Very friendly staff!

Fantastic experience: I drive 25 minutes from downtown to go to the YMCA during the summer for the outdoor pool. I eat a lunch in a designated picnic area that I bring from home, and plop down on a lounge chair to relax. There r always chairs! The only thing I would change is to shut off the music they play aloud…. I bring my own music and listen to it with headphones on and I can't hear it cuz it's competing with their outdoor music, that's geared towards 40 year olds. Iol !!! But not that big of a deal

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here for five years. My family and I enjoy this establishment it’s pretty busy but I can’t complain. Offers many of group classes the staff is very helpful and the pricing is good as well. They offer free child care up to two hours while you work out if you are a member.

Fantastic experience: The staff at the YMCA is very friendly and knowledgeable. The activities offered are geared for all ages and genders. The tae kwon do program is wonderful! My daughter has greatly improved in regards to her skills because of the awesome instructors.

Fantastic experience: The Jordan Brand YMCA has some of the best employees. My two small children LOVE their swim classes. Walter and Laura are their teachers, and they are both kind, patient, fun, and overall EXCELLENT instructors. My kids look forward to the classes all week :)

Fantastic experience: Nice weight room which includes both free weights, machines, and aerobic devices. Good size. Always quite clean and neat. Love the place!

Fantastic experience: It’s great that we can participate in swim lessons and other classes without having to be a member and at a great price compared to some of the private swim places in Fishers and Carmel.

Fantastic experience: The Les Mills program and instructors are incredible and so dedicated. I really enjoy that and didn’t think of this as something I would be doing when I first joined. It is now my primary reason for coming to and participating at the Y.

Fantastic experience: We love our neighborhood YMCA. All of my kids grew up playing the sports at a young age here -- great introduction to sports for young kids. Also, the staff are always friendly and accommodating. This is a great Y in a great location with lots of diversity which we love as well!

Fantastic experience: I have started bringing my dad, who has FTD and is cognitively impaired, to this location, and I cannot praise it enough. The staff really go above and beyond - they have been extremely accommodating, understanding, helpful, and kind towards both my dad as someone with an "invisible" disability and to me as his caregiver. So thankful to have found a gym that is so disability friendly! Thank you, YMCA.

Fantastic experience: This is a very nice center for the community. My favorite is the outdoor pool area. My children love it❣The lifeguards are very careful in watching everyone to be sure of your safety. This facility has vending machines but they also have a little stand in the outdoor pool area beside the picnic tables with an attendant. They sell inexpensive snacks there in case you didn't bring any.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at this branch is kind and helpful. The facility itself it clean and there's usually enough space for me to get a good workout in even at busy hours. Do yourself a favor and befriend Byron- he's got lots of good tips on form and getting the most out of your workouts.

Fantastic experience: A great place to work out, swim, and hangout. I loved working at the summer camp this summer and all of the YMCA staff was super helpful to me all summer. The help service desk ladies are super nice and helpful. The people working at the greeting spot are awesome too!

Fantastic experience: Best customer service. The member service department knows us, my husband and I, each by name. They are doing so much like support our first responders with emergency childcare during these times of need. Thanks YMCA

Fantastic experience: I love this YMCA. Great child care while you work out. The athletics director is a great leader. They have done a great job to keep everyone feeling safe during this strange time.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout and shower afterwards.many classes for adults and kids. Also before and after school and preschool for kids. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Fantastic experience: Always clean. They have some really nice modern spin bikes and a great setup for free weights. Open swim is nice and quiet.

Fantastic experience: Staff is helpful and friendly. I love the teen center and the variety the Y has to offer. My child attended summer camps there and loved it.

Fantastic experience: They were great with my daughter which has a severe fear of water. She can not swim yet, but just getting her in the water and being about to put her face in water is huge progress. We will definitely be back for additional swim lessons.

Fantastic experience: Always friendly but not always too talkative staff. Grounds are really nice, good variety of things to do and equipment. Decent parking most of the time, too.

Fantastic experience: A game changer for our experience in Broadripple, a little known facility vet and excellent gym, racquetball courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, lessons, childcare center and facility. The staff are always excellent and very knowledgeable, equipment is in good condition and it’s never too busy to enjoy a wonderful workout

Fantastic experience: Facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff is great. Started going there before I was married and liked it, but didn't really understand how great the Y is until I had kids. The childcare is awesome. Well worth the fee for a family with young kids.

Fantastic experience: Love the friendly staff and that it's not an intimidating place to workout. There are private workout spaces in the adult locker rooms if you are a bit shy. It's a great and relaxed gym.

Fantastic experience: Awesome asset for families in the area! Tons of classes for kids to take. Really great staff, committed to offering the best programs possible. I wish this place could catch a grant for a major renovation. The pool is awesome i the summer.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked in to sign up for a membership, I have been treated like a friend to other members and from staff. The building is always clean, the group exercise classes ate amazing, and even though I am self conscious I have never felt judged or looked down upon. Julia (wellness coach) and Judy (member services) are fantastic. I couldn't recommend this gym enough. I only wish I had joined sooner!

Fantastic experience: This YMCA has just been fantastic for me and my family! I love this facility. The staff is super friendly and courteous. The summer camp has been awesome for my oldest son and the play area for kids is awesome for drop off when my wife wants to get a workout in. The prices are good and it's always clean. Grateful that it's so close to my house, taking away all of my excuses for not working out!
