Fantastic experience: Exactly what a guy needs in a gym. Open 24 hours and they have a lot of free weights (many gyms are full of cable machines and no regular weights). Opening the door via phone app is very convenient. Treadmills are brand new. Mini split A/C units are brand new so air quality is good. Saw the new spin bikes for the room being converted to spin class room...will be a nice addition. The gym isn’t big and bright like the common chain gyms. In my travels, I’ve been to about a half dozen different Planet Fitness gyms and, although PF is fine, I’d prefer this type gym over PF since they have more free weights and I like how equipment is broken out into smaller/separate rooms (more privacy). I was only a guest at Frystown Fitness for a day while I passed through town but I did have a good experience there getting a good run in on the treadmill, some deadlifts, etc.. Wanted to take time to write this and give props to a quality, local small business. Coffee shop on 1st floor under the gym is good too...great cup of coffee.
