Fantastic experience: My son Antonio goes to a high school with no athletic program. We stumbled across the gladiator academy watching a documentary on mma. Now Antonio, and myself, when I'm not offshore, both attend. This is by far the best martial arts school I have ever attended. They have different classes for people's experience levels so your not just thrown out there expected to know everything. Very professional instructors who have taken their time and experience to work with my son. He is now an honor role student and spends at least four nights a week there at the Gladiator Academy training. He loves it, I love it and can not say enough good things about it. Fantastic experience: Gladiators Academy is by far the most top notch training in Lafayette, period! These guys are UFC fighters and jujitsu black belts. If your looking for a place to train and learn about martial arts, this is the place to be. They love what they do, which makes it fun for me as well, as they have a passion for the arts.

Fantastic experience: The review asked me to 'describe my experience', life changing is how i would describe it. I have been in martial arts since my early 20's, in and out of various Muay Thai gym's back home, when i moved to the USA it took me 6 years to find a gym to call home and Gladiators was that place. It is also the place i chose for my first child and eventually my other two to also call home. Gladiators opened my eyes to BJJ and what it has to offer. Here is my extended family, they understand that as my life and responsibilities ebb and flow around me so does my time commitment to my martial arts, they help me when i over train, they welcome me when i under train, the world class training here is available for me as and when i need it. Martial Arts is the toughest personal journey this side of fatherhood, in some respects even tougher than that and i wouldn't trust this ongoing journey with anyone else but here.

Fantastic experience: I started Gladiators almost 3 years ago. I was in my late 30s and noticed I was losing the little bit of athleticism I had despite exercising 5 days a week. Physically, now at 40, there is no activates in my life which come close to what I feel capable of doing. Mentally, I can’t quantify how much Jiu Jitsu has helped the other aspects of my life: stress from work, my marriage, and religion. The staff is excellent. I have taught lay-people, professionals, and at the college level. I believe Tim Credeur is one of the finest and most passionate instructors I have ever met. Josh Artigue, one of the other main instructors, holds a black belt in 3 different martial arts. I am certain you can benefit from their knowledge. There are a wide variety of classes from cage fighters to mothers enjoying some free time to kids of all ages. The children are expected to excel more than just physically and repeatedly talk to about improving themselves in all aspects of life. If you are reading this it means you know what you need to do, but are putting it off. Stop putting it off. I honestly can’t think of any reason someone should not be trying to better themselves on a daily basis. This is a great place to start. I put a small list of reasons to start below trying to avoid the obvious. This place is for you if: -You have a child who needs discipline, acts out in school, or needs a constructive release of energy -You have a child who is great, but lacks the confidence to excel -You are looking to challenge your mind, but Sudoku would only add to your time in the seated position -You are religious and looking for a fun way to experience and understand humility, compassion, suffering, and sacrifice This place is not for you if: -You do not possess the ability to learn from your mistakes -You think a sore wrist is a reason to quit your exercise program for 3 months (no exercise program is for you)

Fantastic experience: Every time that I visit Gladiators Academy of Lafayette it is a great experience. It is a very family oriented business & they have a great group of instructors that are very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do! I would highly recommend Gladiators to anyone that is looking for a great academy.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough good things about Tim, Josh, Blake, and the rest of the coaches / staff at Gladiators Academy. I have been training there for a couple of years and am very pleased with the instruction and individual attention I receive. Whether you want to improve your jiu jitsu, striking, strength and conditioning, or simply get in shape, this is the place to be. Brazilian jiu jitsu and MMA can be intimidating sports to start, especially if you've never done any martial arts. If that's the only thing holding you back then take a chance and try it out. You won't be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: When I walked into Gladiator's Academy, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. Smiling happy faces and polite service. I feel completely comfortable there. I don't feel the need to keep up with anyone else, only to better myself. The instructors are great and I have tons of respect for every one of them. I enjoy every minute I spend there and look forward to being there again. It's a fantastic family environment and perfect for anyone...no matter your needs or goals!!

Fantastic experience: It was simply one of the best decisions that I have ever made. If you are looking for a martial arts gym for competition, fitness, or for your children this is the right place. The childrens classes are excellent the children learn alot and are having fun the whole time. Theres classes for the absolute beginner or advanced practitioners. If you are looking to compete theres a reason that this gym has produced professional athletes that compete at the highest levels. The instruction and environment is second to none and I could not imagine wanting to go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have been training in Martial Arts for well over 10 years and have been competing at the amatuer level for around 2 years. I needed to take my training to the next level to pursue my dreams and goals, so I began looking outside of my small town in North East Texas. I looked at moving to highly regarded gyms like Jacksons in New Mexico, but found a world class facility and instructors much closer in Lafayette, LA. I came down, did my free trial and knew that this was the place I needed to be. Three weeks later I moved 300 miles away from everything I've ever know to come train with Master Tim Credeur, Coach Dustin Poirier and Coach Christian Fulgium. I've been living here for almost a year and it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. This gym has given me a new life, new friends and a new career when I was really unsure of where my life was headed. Make no mistake this place really does turn people into better people!

Fantastic experience: My son began training at Gladiators when he was four years old. Now, as an eight year old, his overall coordination and strength surpass his peers. He has developed skills to defend himself and will only continue to develop these skills. He looks up to his coaches and attends class 3-4 days a week because he wants to. Can't say enough about this place.

Fantastic experience: I am 55 years old and recently decided to try MMA and Brazilian jujitsu. I was apprehensive due to my age and a number of injuries I’ve had. All of the coaches were very receptive, as were my fellow students as well. My only regret was not trying them out sooner. The experience has been much more than expected. I intend to continue my journey with them for years to come.

Fantastic experience: My 9-year-old daughter trains BJJ here and is very happy with the coaches and students. The curriculum is well organized, and the training environment is friendly. Lots of room on the mat! As a parent, I appreciate the time the coaches take at the end of the lesson to reinforce lessons about sportsmanship, hard work, and good behavior.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Gladiators (BJJ) for about a month now and highly recommend this gym. There are tons of members ranging from white to black belt - I’m constantly rolling with new guys, finding a challenge from those more experienced, and learning from the higher belts. Classes have a very nice mix of takedowns, offense, and defense - working both top and bottom of the body. I’ve also liked the mix between Gi and No-gi classes. You won’t have a problem finding new techniques to work on - including fundamentals and advanced moves. Classes seem to mesh together so that you are constantly hammering the fundamentals in different ways. Also the facility is top notch and the mats are huge. Compared to other gyms that I have tried, a membership at Gladiators is an outstanding deal.

Fantastic experience: We originally tried 1 year ago and our son was a little to nervous about starting. We tried again 2 months ago and he was still intimidated to start. The guys took the time for the first session to show him what would be done and got him comfortable in a one on one session on the side. Since then he has loved it and enjoys going. Enrolling our son has been a great experience. Coaches and owners have been great.

Fantastic experience: Tim Credeur had developed a system of teaching that allows for all students to learn effective techniques that can be applied anywhere (competition, life, Gi, No-Gi, MMA). Even from a few classes it is easy to see the development that you can have in such a short time. Great environment and great people! Awesome space to learn and enjoy learning!

Fantastic experience: I have trained with many wonderful martial artists in different parts of the world. The instructors here are technically and tactically competent. They teach an excellent standing and ground game, and are what I would call well rounded, practical and balanced. I would also say that most students are skilled at least one belt level higher than what they are wearing when compared to what is typical in other clubs. I find their techniques to be focused on fundamentals and sound.

Fantastic experience: My son started here just a couple of months ago after transitioning from another martial arts academy. It looked somewhat overwhelming at first but almost immediately I saw my son’s confidence grow. He is proud to tell me of his daily accomplishments and I see him practicing self-control and discipline. I am so very pleased with the ratio of instructors to students and the level of individual attention my child gets. He feels very much “a part of” and I am excited to watch him learn and grow within the program. He and I are both very pleased with Gladiator Academy.

Fantastic experience: An elite martial arts academy focusing on Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing, run by professional martial artists who have trained the highest level fighters out of Louisiana to compete on the world stage. The FACT that it is run by such high level professionals makes it a safe and fun environment to train in. They train all levels from fundamental beginners level to elite professional competitors. I was looking for more training and specifically more intense training as I wanted to compete. From day 1 here it’s been nothing short of incredible. The instruction is top notch and the amount of training and the amount of training partners doesn’t end. Anyone looking to improve their game needs to give gladiators a try. Fantastic experience: It should be clear that after 28 reviews with a 5 star average, while writing this, that this is one of the top mma gyms/fight camps you can train at and easily the best in LA. I’ve been to 5 different gyms in LA and there is no comparison in facilities or coaching. Tim, owner and head coach, is an incredible coach. You’d think as an ex-UFC fighter there would be a sense of arrogance which is farther from the truth. He’s incredibly humble and easy to talk to. I don’t write reviews. This isn’t my home gym. This place is that good.

They have impacted both mine and my son's lives in countless ways. This is a family place, they teach life skills in their martial arts program that translate to every situation. Friendly staff and plenty of them. You're never left waiting for help or answers and they make you feel comfortable at every level. You know these guys are the real deal from day one. I would advise every man woman and child to join this program for, self defense, fitness, self improvement, survival, making lasting friendships, learning discipline and just all around life skills. I can't say enough about this place, it has become our second home.
